agreed. I'd call it a soft science. It has been 20 years for me since I heard that term! I forgot they had made that distinction. you know, I think I've been talking to so many shills lately I'm bit shocked to have competent conversation that isn't buried in fallacies. Thank you.

Yes and beyond. psychology has its merits. but claiming it is a science... well only nlp claims to actual fix people, and I've found benefit from the concepts of modelling. psychology loves to label things. but in the end, you can't quantify psychological things like you can physical things. we can measure a baseball's size/velocity/mass. but we can't measure pain, discomfort because each person perceives it differently. so we never actually know anything but what patients tell us and what we ca…

sorry. psychology is no science. science means repeatable experiment, but you can't replicate the context of people. they try, but that isn't science. it is a pseudoscience in the best possible light. they are doing the best they can but it isn't science.

another way of looking at is that, being sick/angry/mad/frustrated with other peoples actions gives them power over you. i'd rather be happy, and i think the reason they spend so much time thinking about is is because while you can lie to yourself, there is a part of you that never believes it, and i say if we say to them simply 'ok, if that is what you think, act upon it and see how it works out' and not give a fuck what they do we'd be better off in the long run, as they lose their 'enemy that…
