It’s very bad for a cats joints to throw it over your fucking shoulder. Just because it lands on its feet doesn’t mean throwing it doesn’t do any damage.

The entire point of a film is to make money. There are people who will see a Tarantino or Scorsese film because it’s made by them. Also, there are a handful of high-profile directors who have a very distinct style (Tarantino, Anderson) that people would know it was their film anyway. The real solution is to simply stop giving a shit about the Oscars because they’re bullshit and the voters are bought off anyway.

Lmao what a terrible idea.

Agreed. The traffic security guards are much worse in my experience. I’ve been yelled at the literal second I parked my car at pick-up and my mom was less than 10 feet away from the car and I was pointing at her. He just said “I don’t care where she is, she’s not in your car so you have to circle back around.” My mom was at the car before he even finished his sentence.

I’m not sure where you live, but look for little hole-in-the-wall Italian places. Most of them I’ve been to are just named the last name of the family that owns it.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/08/19 04:47 PM

Boi what? All the best Italian places I’ve been to are like $10-$15 for spaghetti and they give you enough to feed you for a week.

You misread the guys post. He said she seemed out of place (because of her appearance). He said he sucked at it, not her.

Yes, but you're saying the parents aren't to blame, and the kids are. Are you saying kids are inherently misogynistic?
/r/PussyPassDenied14/03/17 07:55 PM

I guess I don't know where the misogyny comes in with your argument. That's all I'm arguing against.
/r/PussyPassDenied14/03/17 07:21 PM

I would be much more likely to agree that sexism plays a part in it if more evidence was like this, so thank you. Most people's "evidence" is that there isn't many women in the field, therefore sexism.

My argument is that it isn't the college advisors job to tell the student all of the options for their career path, it's their job to ask what they think they want to do, and offer the best path for that.

My bad. Didn't realize you weren't the first guy I responded to.

Sure, but that's not misogyny.

This sounds like a really bad straw-man argument. Kids these days know these fields exist, they just aren't attracted to them. Very few parents push their kids into a certain field of study, and they are usually medical or law fields, not women's studies. Also, college advisors can't sit down with every student and discuss every possible degree path with every student. It's the students job to know what interests them, not some high school counselor that has limited interaction with them.

Too many people don't understand this. Even Kate Upton loses her luster when you wake up next to her every day. Not that you'll stop finding her attractive, just that there won't really be much excitement about her looks.

As someone who has lost a bunch of weight, but still isn't where I want to be, yeah, it's bullshit. If you show me an obese person that says they wouldn't snap their fingers and be skinny if they could, I'll show you a liar.

Seriously. This whole situation is fucked though. The fact that his parents were okay with it is insane. I know nothing about psychology, but something tells me this kid is going to have a very twisted idea of what a healthy relationship is.

You are ridiculous. The fix for this is pretty simple: innocent until proven guilty & the punishment for a false rape accusation should be the exact same as that of a rape.
/r/PussyPassDenied22/08/16 01:43 PM

Which is exactly why I said it's more of a moral issue than a legal one for me.

You're acting like people just find drunk girls in alleys and have sex with their limp bodies. That's not the real world. Yes it is. It happens. And not to just girls. To guys too. A friend of mine lost his virginity when he got super plastered and was essentially passed out in a bed. A girl climbed on top of him, pulled out his dick and started having sex with him. He was so gone he didn't really have any ability to fight it, even though he didn't explicitly tell her "no." If it's so hard to de…
/r/PussyPassDenied20/08/16 05:32 PM

This is all on the basis of morals, because this is all obviously impossible to prove in court, but: If both parties are plastered and it isn't forceful, I don't see it as rape. If either party is only slightly drunk (e.g. still has motor skills and speaks in full sentences) and they consent, I don't see it as rape. Now, my problem is when one party is in a clear state of mind, and the other is quite obviously sloppy drunk. And you know what I mean when I say sloppy drunk, like, falling over eve…
/r/PussyPassDenied20/08/16 05:11 PM

If you say "wanna bang" and she says "yeah" that doesnt really mean consent if you can tell she is completely gone.
/r/PussyPassDenied20/08/16 04:53 PM
-2

So, you're telling me if you come across a girl that is so drunk she can't even stand up, much less communicate any coherent thoughts, you would have sex with her still? You don't think that's a little fucked up to take advantage of her physical and mental state? I'm not talking about a girl that has had a couple drinks and comes onto you, I'm saying one that has literally lost most of their body functions.
/r/PussyPassDenied20/08/16 04:40 PM

Well, they are sexists who use the word "feminist" when real feminists believe in equality with men, not women being superior.
/r/PussyPassDenied20/08/16 04:13 PM

I agree to an extent, but you could very easily argue that this is rape, as she used her power to manipulate him. Not much different than a girl or guy who is extremely drunk agreeing to sex in that mindset, but not actually wanting sex. I'm not aware of the laws, but do violent rapes getting longer sentences than something like this?

Now, OBVIOUSLY, these two situations are nothing alike when it comes to intent. But, if the precedent is there that you encourage or support someone's decision to kill themselves, we could be looking at problems. Side note: this does not represent my views, so please do not try to argue about this with me. I'm just trying to lay out what I can imagine the other side of the argument is.

I think he was being facetious as the whole point of this sub is the opposite of that thought process.

I'm not saying I believe this philosophy, BUT: A lot of people think suicide is completely reasonable given the right circumstances. So, say I have terminal cancer and I don't want to get to the point where I can't move or do anything, so I decide to take my own life. I tell my brother over text/email that I'm feeling this way, and he says something along the lines of him agreeing that is a good decision. Now, OBVIOUSLY, these two situations are nothing alike when it comes to intent. But, if the…

My problem is I don't think you are quite understanding what I am saying. Answer this question, and this question only: is it okay to beat someone within an inch of their life if they have not physically harmed you, and are not trying to physically harm you?
/r/PussyPassDenied03/06/16 03:37 AM

Dude, I have said multiple times that it's not okay to offend other people. Like more than three times in this thread. My issue was with you saying that it would be okay if they were almost beat to death for this.
/r/PussyPassDenied03/06/16 03:12 AM
1

I'm not asking them to tolerate it. You suggested that they should have beaten the shit out of these people. They went the right route by getting law enforcement involved. You were the one saying they should have been beaten within an inch of their life. Which is just not okay.
/r/PussyPassDenied03/06/16 02:18 AM

I know those places exist. But we shouldn't accept "that's just how they are" as an excuse.
/r/PussyPassDenied03/06/16 02:07 AM
1

You really don't understand what I am saying. It is not okay to insult people when you visit their country, it is not okay to act like you own the place as a tourist. But if you think it is okay to beat the shit out of someone to the point of almost killing them when they are not physically harming you, you are no more civilized than a pack of wolves. So, if all Latin countries are really that uncivilized and think that this sort of violence is okay, you don't have to worry about me visiting the…

Once again, they were in the wrong. I'm not arguing what they did is okay. But nearly killing someone is never warranted unless they are threatening your life.

They didn't legally accuse the guy. I'm not saying what they did is okay, but beating them almost to death sure as fuck isn't okay.
/r/PussyPassDenied03/06/16 12:59 AM

Okay. So that makes it understandable to beat them within an inch of their life? That's what separates us from animals.
/r/PussyPassDenied03/06/16 12:45 AM

That's the exact attitude that is keeping these piece of shit third world countries from ever progressing. I hope I am never anywhere near anyone like you. Especially law enforcement that thinks like you. Edit: lol. Didn't realize you guys thought it was okay to beat someone within an inch of their life. Jesus Christ, guys. Come the fuck on.
/r/PussyPassDenied02/06/16 09:30 PM

You're right. It's not like they went to the police and accused the guy of rape. Their head was in the right place, they just went about it the wrong way. In any civilized country, this isn't the end of the world. But the police in DR took this opportunity to extort money out of them. And that should be the real story. You don't deserve to go to prison for confusing people while trying to help. My entire attitude on the matter would change if they had filed a police report and didn't admit their…

In my experience, a guy is messy in the sense that he will have some dirty clothes on the floor, a couple cups on the nightstand, unmade bed, etc. A messy woman is usually beyond clutter. That being said, most women I know are pretty clean in their personal space. But, for some reason, women's public bathrooms and places in public where there are mostly women are always absolutely disgusting.
/r/PussyPassDenied16/04/16 08:07 PM

Seriously. And whenever most dudes are preparing for a date, they spend much more time than that cleaning and shit because most of us don't clean until we have to.

But she spent TWO HOURS OF HER TIME. If she's gone through that much effort, she obviously deserves sex. I'm so glad this dude didn't bang her. She's lived her whole life thinking that every dude she sees is just itching to bang her. And she just got a big reality check. Fucking love it.

My thoughts exactly. They sure did make it seem like they were itching to put his name, but the law prevented it. When it should have just said that they were not going to release his name and left it at that.

I work in a retail environment where security will chase you down and the company will press charges for $1 worth of merchandise. Plainclothed and uniformed LP officers with both chase someone down. I've seen it happen multiple times. So, maybe in some states you are right, but definitely not all.
