Most of these comments are made by people who know nothing about the sport or four-year fans who think they know everything about the sport but really know nothing about the sport. I'm not exactly a huge fan of Simone Biles, but she doesn't deserve this sort of backlash.

Let's see some of those athletes attempt a triple twisting double back somersault when their head isn't in the right mental state... None of those scenarios could lead to a broken neck or a serious spinal injury leading to paralysis or even death. A botched triple twisting double back very well might do.

As a huge gymnastics fan, of both the men's and women's events, all I want to say is that gymnastics is a dangerous sport - if you're not in the right headspace or have a lapse of concentration, it could literally lead to life-changing injuries or even death. It's not like other sports like football where a bad day means making some bad passes, missing the goal or even spraining an ankle. As a gay man who is still in the process of coming out (no pun intended) of a six-year relationship, I just want to say - please don't think that relationships are any easier or any less drama-filled just because there are two dudes and no women involved, it really isn't! I like my job enough (a mix of treasury, accounting, administration and customer service) but not the actual industry I'm working in (gambling). Would love to have a similar role in a different sector, but not really going to start looking for another job until the Covid situation settles down. As it is right now, I've got pretty good job security and I don't want to risk losing that.

Not to mention the supervised visits things was only enforced after it was discovered he was pretending to be an 80 year old woman in order to get around the custody agreement! A better example would be the show Desperate Housewives. Literally every couple that breaks up, it's the husband who has to move out of the beautiful house, end up in a motel or smaller apartment, and fight tooth and nail to see their kids whilst still having to pay alimony.

Involuntary circumcision done for the sake of religion, simple conformity or any other pseudo-science is a barbaric practice IMO and has no place in modern society. If an adult male wants to be circumcised for medical, personal or hygiene reasons, then fair enough. But until then, don't take that choice away from him, especially when he's at the most vulnerable age.
