I honestly don't believe they are naturally inclined towards monogamy. I think it's been instilled into them. I mean, look at the rise of the single mother. Exactly what you're describing is happening. The worst part is betas STILL take them even with Chad's baby and who know what else.

In order to cheat, women need another man to cheat with. Most guys don't care if a girl is in a relationship and will jump at the chance for some pussy.
