100%. Maybe they think it provides a sense of protection and masculinity? But they usually end up being very insecure.

One of the first things I actually agree with in this sub. If a guys tells me he’s an “alpha”, that’s an immediate no thanks.

Both. Normally in person it is name calling like yelling that “I’m a slut, whore, ugly, etc.” Still not ideal, nonetheless.

Bingo. I’ve received death threats, rape threats, all kinds of horrible names thrown at me for just not being interested. Rejecting someone can be terrifying.

Totally - it’s usually way cheaper than getting drinks and it’s nice knowing a guy doesn’t just want to get you drunk to ~bone~.

Exactly. Like, thank you for doing the normal thing. If we’re not attracted to you, we 100% do not want you to pursue us further.

Lol yikes.

Not really. A lot of people, men and women, fear both. But I’d rather have my feelings hurt from being rejected than severe harassment or my house burnt down from rejecting someone.

I relate to this sentiment. Rejecting men today is terrifying - I’ve experienced death threats, rape threats, etc. for expressing my disinterest in dating someone. Even attractive men approaching me in public don’t get a pass just for being hot.

Totally agree. Having a light, fun conversation with a guy who seems to be genuinely confident and emotionally intelligent is one of the sexiest things of all.

Wound up here through a rabbit hole somehow, but as a woman I agree with this. It’s very obvious to us what is a game when the end goal or “prize” is so strong. Do you, work on yourself, and chill. Women are attracted to men who are committed to growing mentally and emotionally.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
