It's risk vs. reward and it's not a valid comparison - apples to oranges, you might say. And I figured my case would be dismissed by the argument which essentially boils down to "you can mitigate these risks to low, though non-zero chances." That's still a chance. Not ONLY that, the orbiter does you a favor. For example, if he's spending money, listening to her problems, buying her things, being emotionally supportive etc. (which we here at TRP believe to be major sexual turnoffs for the most pa…

Not really a fair comparison. A girl spending time with an orbiter for attention (one that she will certainly not have sex with) is very low risk to the guy in the relationship. A guy banging a bunch of other girls risks pregnancy with them and exposes the girl he is in the relationship with to STDs.

Let these guys hate if they want. They've likely had a bad experience with a military person, got kicked out, or it's some other form of jealous. I appreciate that you can appreciate their (well, our) service and that you did your best for this guy.

none of that thread strikes you guys as a troll post? It doesn't really sound realistic to me. I mean I don't doubt the plausibility of it, just that she would have left a lot of the details about her cheating out of the thread she posted.
