So if MRAs are against letting kids grow up without fathers, what about adoptions by same-sex couples? Is it wrong for two lesbians to adopt? Is it better for two gay men to adopt? Nevermind, I'm offended anyway, because fuck you. My mother was single for several years, and I turned out alright; her marriage to my stepdad later on didn't magically make things any better. (Living in a two income household is obviously better, but that's beside the point.)

Homophobia is misandry when it is directed ata gay man. it is a demonization of our male sexuality. Calling it anything else, especially misogyny, is appropriation Yeah that seems like a load of bullshit to me; most homophobes I ever knew were straight dudes, not women.

Because of gender norms created primarily by men, who have been historically in charge of everything in the history of forever

So obviously because this one female game dev who works at Valve, a successful game development company from a Seattle suburb, hasn't personally experienced sexism, it totally doesn't exist in the game industry. Guess who's wrong!

Fortunately it happened a long time ago and had nothing to do with you, so it doesn't matter whether or not you support it.

The sex and gender separation is still new and widely unsupported, because the words were and are synonyms. Yet you can't cite sources, and you're pulling all this out of your ass.

It's largely because the mods are MRAs (especially demmian). This is the third most upvoted submission of all time in that subreddit. The real feminist subreddit is /r/feminisms.

LOL why am I the only one calling this asshole out then? The things he's saying are clearly transphobic, but MRAs either agree with him or don't really care. Figures a group representing the privileged wouldn't be fazed by it. I've found the MRM to be overwhelmingly positive towards LGBTQ issues, and feminists mostly so lol @ MRAs being more pro-gay than feminists are. LOL

So, you're so misinformed that you think transgender people are simply delusional and mentally ill, and I'm the one who's the problem? LOL, let's see what the American Psychiatric Association has to say about transgender people: Is being transgender a mental disorder? A psychological state is considered a mental disorder only if it causes significant distress or disability. Many transgender people do not experience their gender as distressing or disabling, which implies that identifying as trans…

He said to do that or to post; everyone probably just posted because using upvotes and downvotes to poll is a terrible idea. If you read the comments, the posters are overwhelmingly libertarian and conservative.

LOL how am I losing this argument? You literally just compared sexual reassignment surgery to plastic surgery, you asshole. You just said that transgender people need therapy. You're a pretty awful person.

The transphobia here speaks for itself; MRAs are even worse than I thought.

and a lot of feminists don't either Not really. Judging from this subreddit and various feminist subreddits, MRAs are generally somewhere between neutral and hostile to LGBT people and the LGBT rights movement, whereas feminists are pretty much overwhelmingly supportive.

Wow, so you just called transgender people "crazy" and compared them to "people who want to run around in fursuits barking all day?" That's pretty fucked up, but hardly surprising coming from an MRA.

even if that was true (which it probably isn't, but i'm not going to waste time debating semantics), it doesn't change the fact that the men's rights movement is right-wing and reactionary

Don't even pretend this movement isn't overwhelmingly right-wing just because there are a few token left-wingers here; you guys are like the Alan Colmes of /r/MensRights. Look around, most people here are conservatives or lolbertarians who are angry not just about feminism but about social justice in general.

In American television, it's more like one in twenty, but maybe it seems like it's more because seeing any gay people on television at all is simply too much for you. And video games almost certainly have much less LGBT representation.

The fact that MRAs hate Marxists so much sort of gives away the fact that the movement is reactionary in nature and not just opposed to feminism. LOL it's no wonder you guys were once linked to by /r/WhiteRights.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
