Well, I won't be buying this anymoreWelcome to the 21st century, where even food is gendered | /r/MensRights | 29/05/12 07:37 PM
What if women don’t need guys any more. Feminism convinced women they "don't need men." Now women have problem - they can't find husbands. This is about heterosexual relationships. Homosexual relationships underlie different (from the outside it looks like less) norms. | /r/MensRights | 27/03/12 10:18 PM
One woman among the top 100 chess players. But 40% quotas in management and parliament? Would 40% female quotas for chess grand masters make sense? You can see it from the other side: excluding capable women from top position harms the economy. | /r/MensRights | 13/03/12 01:49 AM
One woman among the top 100 chess players. But 40% quotas in management and parliament? Would 40% female quotas for chess grand masters make sense?Bad article. The top 100 chess players are objectively chosen, top managers aren't. If you look at the statistics how many women get a financial degree you should come to the conclusion that qualified women don't get a position because of their gender. That's sexism, but I'm not so sure if quotas help. | /r/MensRights | 13/03/12 01:46 AM
Rebecca Watson Attempts to Explain the MRMMaybe you're right. I wasn't so sure on it anyway, that's why I wrote it seems to me. Still I think there's a higher pressure on men to get a job with a career then on women. (There the pressure may lay on different aspects of a job) | /r/MensRights | 13/03/12 12:58 AM
Rebecca Watson Attempts to Explain the MRMYou're going in circles. When you are a man, and have a job with no career options the society tells you you've done everything wrong. If you're in a social job you're a pussy. If you're in a job where you have to do with children you're a pedophile. If you're a woman and you're in a leading position, you're seen as a strong emancipated woman. The only professions were women aren't gratulated for their choice are dirty or dangerous proffessions the society looks down to like garbage collecting. | /r/MensRights | 09/03/12 12:09 PM
Rebecca Watson Attempts to Explain the MRMStill planet earth, still not America (though I still doubt that it's totally different there). I don't see how this is a class issue. As I said in my first post this mainly is a pressure on man. Women seem to me to have more freedom in choosing their profession. This is all about the western world, the issues are different from region to region. | /r/MensRights | 09/03/12 01:06 AM
Rebecca Watson Attempts to Explain the MRMPlanet earth, I live in Europe, but I don't think it will be too different in America. Just look at degree courses. The less likely you earn much money and have a career with the degree the more likely there's a high proportion of female studends. | /r/MensRights | 08/03/12 11:47 AM
Rebecca Watson Attempts to Explain the MRMI don't think they treat men as independent variables. They barely touch the male role model at all (except when it's how to behave as a man in front of a woman) | /r/MensRights | 05/03/12 06:30 PM
Rebecca Watson Attempts to Explain the MRMThe funny thing is that most likely men earn more money because they're pressured to have a career and earn enough money to support a family, women aren't. | /r/MensRights | 05/03/12 10:54 AM
Rebecca Watson Attempts to Explain the MRMDon't let youself drag down to other peoples niveau, this doesn't help going forward. | /r/MensRights | 05/03/12 10:49 AM
Germany urged to end sex offender castrationvoluntary treatment note that in poland you can be forced to, so I don't know why they attacked Germany. | /r/MensRights | 22/02/12 10:03 PM
Diablo Cody Says Feminists “Should Be Up My Butt”I don't see why letting men look weak is something bad. The media normally dictates that men always have to be strong. | /r/MensRights | 28/01/12 03:36 PM
Please, spare us the 'women’s politics'What has this to do with mens rights? | /r/MensRights | 28/01/12 03:13 PM
NAFALT (Not All Feminists Are Like That) and "Check Your Privilege... XpostI don't think the racism allegory is too good. Race isn't a ideology that you can choose. But other than that, I'm 100% behind BearOfHappiness. Just don't post anything that could be considered as an insult by the people you are adressing. The only thing you're doing with that is starting a flamewar, you aren't achieving anything else. Also downvote such hateful posts independently from which side they are. | /r/MensRights | 26/01/12 12:21 AM
Teacher sleeps with 16 year old student and gets pregnant. The verdict? Probation and no more teaching. She also does NOT have to register as a sex offender. Bullshit! There's now a hotly debated case here in Germany where a teacher with a sexual relationship to a 14 year old girl got the non-guilty verdict, because he was only her substitute teacher. | /r/MensRights | 22/01/12 01:20 PM
Sex-based abortion divides pro-choicers on rightsI think the whole abortion issue is so difficult because our ethics are based on a black white distinction of something being a human life or not. I don't think there is exactly one point where the embryo becomes human life and before isn't human life. Even a newborn still lacks many features attributed to human life. While I think discrimination against disabled is a bad thing, I also think it is important to make a distinction between it and discrimination because of race, sex, etc. Being blac… | /r/MensRights | 21/01/12 04:25 PM
Self-confessed radical feminist gave her baby son a neutral name ‘Sasha’ and now she regularly dresses Sasha, 5, in girls’ clothes. While I think gender roles have to become more relaxed, I don't think trying to do that with your child is the right thing. Just think about all the harassment the child may have to face. Also I think this looks a bit like the woman wanted a girl and now has a boy. | /r/MensRights | 21/01/12 03:24 PM
Self-confessed radical feminist gave her baby son a neutral name ‘Sasha’ and now she regularly dresses Sasha, 5, in girls’ clothes. In Germany it's mostly a male name. (Sascha) | /r/MensRights | 21/01/12 03:05 PM
Hey, r/MensRights! Do you believe in (the) patriarchy? It totaly depends on when and where (family or other part of the society, social class, geographic location). It also depends on if you mean lived reality or what the society expected. For me my perception here in Germany is that patriarchy is a minor thing (except how important a carrier is seen for both genders). (Thanks mainly to feminism, the second world war and the gdr). I don't know how this is elsewhere, but I heard that some Austrians are mocking that German men are pretty much controll… | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 08:34 PM
Feminism and men's issuesI think we here in Mensrights are a bit too obsessed with feminism. Large part of the problems men face aren't because of feminism but because of gender roles and other things. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 07:25 PM
Man denied reimbursement in Paternity Fraud case, court has ruled the state does not have to repay a soldier whose wages were garnished for child support even though the child turned out not to be his.Because feminists already fought for their equal treatment for a long time and still do it today. We need to get off our asses and advocate changing the law, so similiar situations won't happen again. | /r/MensRights | 07/01/12 12:55 PM
