It is defined as offensively ill mannered. I think Sarah Connor was exactly that in T2.

I'm female, and empowerment groups (for the most part) are spaces where women from all over the globe can discuss and exchange information. Things that the female body does normally that they never show on tv or discussed in health class. Also about certain dangers that plague women and ways to spot and avoid them. If you're gonna ask then why am I here, sometimes I also get tired of womens shit and need a good laugh

I havent learned my lesson, I kind of need to be a feminist since I live in a 3rd world country. There are still actual injustices against us that we need to face over here.

Welll I am not american so I am not up to date on certain issues. Based on commentary channels I follow on yt, mainstream media doesnt report much on crimes that doesnt support the 'progressive' narrative and when they do its easily shrugged.

It makes me kind of iffy to think that I dont even have full autonomy over my own body and that I need to have my partner sign papers that says I can.

Funny that it was posted on that sub. Lol. Really lives up to the word fragile.

Im from a country where partners consent is not required for tubal ligation or vasectomy. Wtf is wrong with places that do? And why?

An avalanche of downvote or angry reacts still mean they havent kicked you out or deleted your comment. There's still room for discourse in that scenario.

Well yeah, when theres predators possibly lurking everywhere and new methods of exploiting women then yes, we need forums on how to teach each other how to prep, watch out, and avoid scenarios that are not conducive to our existence.

I actually did get kicked out of a feminist group for this.

Its kind of nice to actually hear people defend why they believe a certain thing is. It may not always be to my preference, and sometimes I can lose my temper, but I can also learn something from that person's perspective which I wouldn't have if I never engaged.

Depends on which sub you go to. I'd classify an echo chamber as a place where any differing thought is met with a ban. Right here and now, so far so good.

Ripley in Aliens was rightfully nagging everyone about the dangers of xenomorphs and being rude about it. She was also arguing with that inept guy in charge because Hicks was in a pinch and he was panicking. Also fuck that curly haired corporate dude. In T2, Sarah was violent with the paychiatrist and broke his nose a couple of times. How about that attack on the black cyberdyne employee? That was super rude and ahe was screaming at him too. I remember a lot of shouting and physical altercation …

All I said in a sea of "thats because weak men cant handle strong women" was that women can be insufferable too.

For some reason the best groups I've found are the shitpost ones where they trash on everybody and everyone in the group just plays along with it because they all understand nothing is personal.

Uhm Linda Hamilton from Terminator 2 is muscular, loud, and rude and she is one of the strongest and most bad ass females I know. Ellen Ripley is also loud and rude(for a really good reason) from the Alien franchise. I don't agree that having muscles is not a strong female trait. Especially if they are portraying fighters and warriors. This isnt the comics where every marketable female superhero has nice tits, slender figure, and a huge ass. Loudness and rudeness shouldnt be considered a strong …

That's the normal. Its supposed to be a group where women can share stories and learn from each other just like a supportive group of friends as you said. Its just that bad apples sours the whole barrel and the bad apple that kicked me out was the group admin.

I am a woman and I wanted to be part of a group that empowered women, gain useful life saving advice, know the latest schemes I should look out for, red flags to avoid when interacting while at a crowded or isolated space. All that jazz.

Playing devils advocate, someone might have seen it as a ridicule. Though that's fuckin shallow for a permaban lol.

That can happen on any platform, it just sucks that there are people who would rather be in an echo chamber than be challenged.

Facebook, and it was a year ago. It was supposedly a women empowering group but they were just trashing men left and right. I didnt leave because sometimes they did have nuggets of empowerment and good advice. Too bad the admin and mods were the first to trash men for takes like these themselves. It was an admin that kicked me out.
