I always understood sex tourism referring to people traveling to countries with legal prostitution, not traveling to have sex with locals.

I mean she is an adult, so it's totally fine. Over a 10-year gap is a bit much IMO (she's under the half-your-age-plus-seven rule), but if you get along then I don't think it's that "creepy." She will likely have a long way to go maturity-wise, but you never know for sure. Shoot your shot.

Don't ghost her. That's a shitty move. Just don't put in any more effort until she starts to show more effort herself. She at least told you she couldn't make it. It doesn't seem like she backed away because she thought you were ugly or anything. It doesn't really matter why she cancelled. Try replying with "Okay, let me know when you're free next," or something similar and then move on. Leave it to her to make some effort. It's fair to continue with other matches and put effort into other peopl…

Dinner is a very normal first date. Coffee or drinks is also a normal first date. People who date a lot also recognize that coffee may be a better first date, since it's a more casual meetup and since there isn't as big of a commitment, time or money-wise. You can order one drink/coffee, get to know each other for 30 minutes, and decide from there if you want to get to know this person more. They don't know you yet and they may not want to commit an hour+ to have dinner with you, even if you may…

Read the rest of the reply. It isn't always about looks. Work on socializing with people and how to build a good connection emotionally. Nobody cares how strong you are at your gym, except maybe other people at the gym.

After calling, send a text and say something like, "I just called, but I wanted to say hi," or whatever you were going to talk about on the phone.

I don't go to bars as much as I used to, but I did meet single women occasionally at the bar (I almost always went there with friends and chatted with strangers when the mood hit me). Women don't always want to meet up with a group and they don't always necessarily go there intending to be picked up. Sometimes they go there just to get out of the house, like a normal person. If I see a cute girl and I try to hit on her, I sometimes strike out. Sometimes go further. You can't generalize every wom…

It's hard to get to know someone on one date. She may have been nervous. She may have had that kind of day/week (and she had work the next day). She may have just been in a really talkative mood. If you had good conversations on the app, you know you can have good conversations again. Many people behave differently or show a different side of themselves in-person, but they also change or show a different side of themselves from one day to another. The does not mean she is starting to show you he…

It took me a minute to understand what you wrote haha, but it sounds like in all this, she offered to take you to dinner. Keep talking to her. Ask her out. I know it's usually inappropriate to date coworkers, but I don't know what your work environment is like. In many companies/industries that really isn't an issue nowadays. Maybe bring it up again? If she mentions something again, definitely take her up on it.

Was her profile pic exclusive to you? Or just her profile pic that everybody sees? From what I can tell in your post, it didn't seem like she wanted to flirt with you at all. You had a two-sentence interaction and then didn't talk afterwards. She then changed her profile pic for her general whatsapp account that everyone sees. She has a boyfriend. You're her boss/superior at work. It doesn't seem like the profile picture was intended to be flirtatious at all. I would move on. Things may change i…

Absolutely. You have more freedom to do things outside of work. You don't (usually) have homework or anything, so when you're done for the day, you're free. You have more control over your schedule. You can personalize your time and are free to move wherever you want to go. If you decide to quit your job and live in the Bahamas for a year, you can do that and not ruin your chances of graduating or anything. You can make it as exciting as you please.

I would recommend waiting until she's 18, but I wouldn't judge you much for it. If you were 30, maybe, but you're young enough now to be dating women that young and it not being too creepy. You might find she hasn't grown enough personality-wise, but you can find that out after you start dating. I would say go for it and see where your relationship goes.

Commercial investors flock to higher-growth companies, which happen to be tech, as a large part of their portfolios. There is a good reason, as tech has had a high return compared with other industry for the past 20-odd years (it is not always the top, but is regularly a major performer). Tech has created a lot of income and that translates to a lot of value. In Yahoo's case, they are not the biggest search engine like they were 15 or so years ago - that is obviously Google now. What separates t…

She has been CEO since 2012. The market bottomed in 2009/10 and Yahoo bottomed around the same time. I have not looked deeply at the management and I won't, but Yahoo's performance has outpaced the market by a significant margin (the S&P 500 grew from about $1,300 to about $2,100 from 2012 to 2016, so call it 60% in round numbers, and Yahoo grew from about $15 to around 50, then back down and is now about $38, so call it 150%). If the pace of the stock was faster than the overall market, it woul…

Many CEOs who walk away from a dying company do so with a huge severance (Jeff Smisek being one of them, and several others). Her being a woman had less to do with it than the contract Yahoo made when they signed her on. She did a mediocre job as CEO, namely expanding their product line into more native video content and advertising, but also laying off about 30% of their employees (which may have been the right call and is not necessarily a bad thing)(this article is from 2015, so a bit outdate…

Travel. For a week's vacation or two, fly somewhere foreign and have an adventure. Do something that scares you. Try different food. Talk to strangers. Do things outside. Don't make plans further than a couple days out (except maybe the flight back home) and take it day by day. Learn about the area or the history or the people. Meet locals. Experience more.

Ask her out. If she does have a bf, that's that, but it sounds like you want to date her. If she rejects you, that's fine. Ask and date and see where it takes you. Maybe she broke up with someone. Maybe she just wants to be friends. Maybe she needs a rebound. Maybe you need a rebound. Whatever the case, not asking will keep you both where you are. Asking gives you a chance to go further.

To get a little philosophical and debate for a bit to begin with, the problem with Pascal's Wager is that belief isn't a choice. If the concept of God makes sense to you, then you might accept it as explanation and practice the religion. If it doesn't, you can't really make a choice to believe. It's what makes sense to you. You can't really change that, unless some sort of different argument or evidence convinces you otherwise. I do, however, agree with your point at the end. Not talking to girl…
