I think it's a bit in the description. I have no problem with black people looking for equality in this world; but I can also imagine there is a bit of elitism associated with it. Same with feminism (primarily) and men's rights activists.

In an ideal world, nobody would be linking sensationalistic articles on the website but people will always want the karma. The question is whether we should be policing links on this subreddit more to keep the quality high and potentially increase our reputation.

I wouldn't think that self-image is based SOLELY from appearance, because people have certainly built up images for themselves astray from how they look. It's also a possibility that a person can be happy with themselves, regardless of how others think, and vice versa; so one's self-image, and the way that they would hope others perceive them, can indeed be two separate things.
