This. Please write this paper. It's worth getting a bad grade to prove your point. Get your parents involved if things go bad. Make the paper your best paper ever. Statistics. Citations. Perfect grammar, etc. Let me know if you need a proof-reader, or get your dad to help. Seriously, this is infuriating. Get help from a male teacher, too.

He can still talk to her as well as get a lawyer. My instructions involved talking to her, which could have been completed this week. Perhaps he is getting a lawyer on Monday. The people who react so strongly to my advice to talk to his wife need to chill out. The OP did not make his wife out to be crazy, and in fact we can assume that both have acted similarly so far. Chill out.

This is so true. Women have been "freed" from the forced role of stay-at-home wife/mom and have now attained the right and blessing to "choose" to either stay at home or help provide (or earn extra spending money). Meanwhile, men are still stigmatized for forsaking their traditional role as provider. When both can choose either without stigmatization, there will be some sort of equality I suppose.

Please talk with your son's mother and let her know how important it is for him to have a relationship with both of his parents. Let her know that you need to be seeing him on a regular basis and that any acts of hers that hinder a free relationship are extremely detrimental and selfish. If you make a breakthrough in that (or perhaps several) conversation(s), yay. If not, I would seek legal action. Communication is key.
