Same story here bro. Seems like a lot of us going through the same thing. I just keep telling myself I deserve to be loved and receive attention and affection from my partner, I am not being selfish, these are normal human needs. Your child will be fine as long as you both are there to love and support them. My daughter is 9 and I am thinking of doing this. Thought she might be too young but glad to see your 8 year old has one. Was thinking of giving it to her when we tell her about the divorce to soften the blow.
