It is stupid A less stupid similar point is that false accusations and exceedingly rare. But I recently read there’s little data supporting that idea As with most things this shouldn’t be made into a zero sum issue. Women shouldn’t be shamed for coming forward when they suffering assault. There should be proper ways to determine guilt or innocence, not assumptions made either way. False accusations happen and can be a powerfully destructive tool None of these ideas have to invalidate any others.

The statistics for cases without sufficient evidence and cases found to be false should be separated. I could accept that the percentage is higher than commonly believed but combining these categories is dishonest and further muddles conversation and polarizes sides

I agree. The only counter arguments I've found are it can prevent utis in baby boys in one in every hundred boy which is a steep cost, and circumcision can help prevent getting stis but modifying someone's body without consent for something that won't effect them until they can consent is a poor argument. This subreddit at best looks at ways men and women are not equal in the eyes of the law or in culture, focusing on the perspective of men and masculinity In the same way feminism focuses on the same issue from the angle of women I agree more women should be in public office and it's great so many more are running this year.
