It’s because Reddit is a very left leaning social media site. The left sees men as oppressors and second class citizens. You can body shame men all day on Reddit and you’ll get upvotes. Body shame a woman and you’ll get banned.

Not surprised. Reddit is very leftist leaning. I got banned for pointing out body shaming, because they were making fun of Trump’s “manboobs”. I said “I guess body shaming is ok if it’s someone you don’t like”. Immediately banned.
