Truth is that men do not respect or value women who do this. They appreciate the help, but it does not make a man love, respect, or value a woman. It does the opposite. This is why women should give men basically nothing. Often times, "the one" is the woman who gives the man breadcrumbs and leaves the previous ex thinking "why does he want her when she barely gives him anything and I gave him everything?!"

Short answer: if he did not ask, do not do it. Long answer (things a girlfriend SHOULD NOT do): giving him money for any reason cooking for him cleaning for him expensive gifts buying property together loaning him your car driving him around going into business together nursing him when he is sick scheduling appointments for him help manage his money and bills being his therapist getting him a job/going to school inserting yourself into his family going to family events living together having ba…

Yep. Once I understood how men think, this became a stock question I ask myself when I feel the least bit uncertain or uncomfortable. Makes deciding what my next move is 1000x easier.

The way Britney was treated by the media bothered me back then as a team. The hyper focus on her virginity and body was dehumanizing. I distinctly remember when she was asked if she was a virgin and remember thinking "are they going to ask Justin? no. of course not." That Rolling Stone spread should have NEVER been approved. Honestly, her first video should not have been approved. They played up the whole Lolita idea with Britney. And like what happens to many women, she was made to be seen as t…

the epiphany that changed EVERYTHING about how I think about men, interact with men, and made me think like a man: a man knows EARLY ON (even when he meets you) what he wants from you. he knows if he wants to marry you, be casual, etc with you very early on. men will date a woman for YEARS (even have children with her) and have zero intention or desire to marry her. a man will have no serious intention for a woman after spending 2, 3, 4, 5+ years with her. it will mean nothing for him except a g…

Easier to walk away from a woman with or without child. He can be committed to being a father since the child has his dna. Does not mean he loves and wants the mother forever. Also, having a child gives him emotional control over the mother. That is for another post though.

I highly appreciate this response. So often, married women tell the story of "I did [insert foolish thing] and I am married. So go for it and don't worry!" When most women will not be that fortunate or blessed (based on your belief system) to have a good outcome. Instead of encouraging foolishness, even if it did not negatively impact their relationship, I wish married women would do what just did in saying "I did this stupid things While I did end up marrying him and have a good marriage, most …

I really wish more women understood the legal ramifications of marriage and shacking up. People, men and women, need to understand that ALL relationships will end - either by separation or death. As such, a woman must protect herself, even more if she has children. The best protection is through marriage. I know several couples who have been living together with and without kids for YEARS. Prior to FDS, I envied these relationships, thinking their boyfriends really cared and loved them because t…

While some countries offer better benefits for common-law couples, there still is a legal divide between marital and common-law relationships. If there were not, then marital law would not exist in those countries. So even if you get SOME rights, you do not get all and can still be screwed in the event of a break up or death.

I was about to reply the same. In my pre-FDS, "good enough works for me" days, I would give the same rationale for my acceptance of coffee dates. "Well, it works in my favor because the date can be brief and I can leave easily" is the WRONG attitude. I did not realize that I can leave a dinner date in the middle, beginning, or whenever I become dissatisfied with the date. Men do the same thing. I have seen men leave events because they were no longer feeling it. Women need to put themselves firs…

"Aimless teenager-type relationships"---in my pre-FDS days, I certainly fell for the "let's see where this goes" and "Let's go with the flow" because I thought there may be a chance for it to go where I wanted to go, which is marriage. I was too old to be that gullible. I know better now. When you know better, you do better. From here on out, any man saying that will be immediately dismissed.

I have experienced the same. Men will openly share the imperfections, past history, and whatever else about some girl they dated. Even if he reveals something that you both have in common, I would not reciprocate, such as him revealing past abuse and you have past abuse. Men often know that women bond through emotional experiences and use it to falsely pull us in Also, some men are simply just talking or venting, for which what they are divulging has no deeper meaning.

While I agree, it does show how much women give up or put on hold during a relationship. I think it should be taken as a note to keep striving towards your own goals and making new goals even while in a relationship instead of doing it to cope with a breakup.

You can tell how someone values their money by how they live their life and how they talk about money. There is no need to ask questions or anything like. Simply be observant. I have a policy of not discussing money until engaged with a date set.

I know several women who have stuck around because they had be in the relationship for a couple of years. Not worth it. It is also a good way to end up a forever gf/fiance or baby mama. If you are not getting what you need, it is time to walk away, even though it is hard.

Girl! Back in my younger and low self-esteem days, I used to think this was a good indication of his readiness for relationships and commitment. When a man had 2, 3, 4, 5+ year long relationships, I would think "oh wow! he is the commitment type!" hahahahaha!!! I was so ignorant about how men think and operate. In reality, it means the exact opposite. I have been in conversations with women who will say that a man must have at least one long-term relationship lasting at least 2-3 years. I always…

This got worse and worse as I kept reading. Does she want to marry him or get married in general? If not on either, then okay (but I remain skeptical of how authentic that is with women have never married. too often they want to get married until the man says he does not). This is so reckless. Far too many women do not take their life seriously. I wonder if he is going to come up with some excuse to stop her from moving to his home country.

Love bombing is a term that the internet has overused. If a man is being really into you in the beginning and y'all break up later on, that does not mean he was love bombing you. He could have changed his mind about you. Realized he was not ready for a relationship or commitment. It could mean he found someone else. Anyways, the main difference between love bombing and honeymoon phase/infatuation is crossing boundaries and not stopping after you tell them to stop.

I was the same way for most of my adult life. I would always think or tell people "marriage is for other people" because deep down (although I did not consciously know) I thought I did not deserve marriage and was scared a man would run from me if he knew the ugly, unflattering parts of me. I even would casually date (no sex) a man and once he brought up marriage, I would immediately get distant. Yes, my self-worth and esteem was a wreck. Therapy helped immensely and going through a relationship…

I am standing right behind you in this line. To me being exclusive is the same as being bf/gf. I am American and do not get it either. I also do not get women act like these phases are reasonable. I have seen this for years and never understood it until recently. I finally understand why. It is because they were not serious despite all the "signs" that he was serious. When I was younger, it used to bother my self-esteem and self-worth when I would date a man and not get introduced to his family/friends, have no vacations together, be asked to move in (even though I never wanted to live together before marriage), etc. As I am older, I am glad it never happened with those guys because all t…

Forget 5 years (that gives too much hope to women in years 2, 3, and 4). The time limit really should be AT THE VERY MOST 2 years (for me, it is 1.5 years) for a proposal. Talking about marriage and our future needs to be in the first 6 months for me.

Do not justify, argue, defend, or explain. Simply tell him it is not working out and leave. DO NOT DISCUSS PAST RELATIONSHIPS!!!! When I read that line, I thought the exact same thing. First thing that came to my mind, "He is lying because he is trying to have sex with you!" With men, their #1 goal is ALWAYS sex, and as a woman, our job is to be very judicious about who, when, and how we give it. Because she has participated in flirting with him while he knows she knows he is in a relationship, he likely thinks he has her wrapped around his finger and that she has low standards.

Only on the internet do I see people telling folks to end friendships because their friend did something or makes choices you don't like. Again, I am old. So maybe it is that... Most of your friends are not going to have the same standards as you in a relationship. It does not mean you drop them or tell them how they are living wrong. We are both old! Like you, it is not a romantic relationship to me if you have never seen each other person, regardless of how much video chat you have had. The "talking" stage is bs to me too. It seems like another layer people are adding to needlessly complicate relationships and avoid commitment/responsibility to someone. Women should not stand for it. I am black and white with relationships - either we are in a relationship or we are not. No other modes or stages for me.

Being a forever gf is MUCH WORSE. I can actually say in most insecure, lack of confidence days that this never happened to me. Even during the years which I was not ready for marriage, I had a 1 year expiration. When I decided I wanted marriage, I kept my 1 year date. However, after a recent dating experience, it is far shorter now. If I am not hearing marriage talk in 3-6 months, I am out!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/12/20 05:22 AM

If at 6-8 months they are not talking marriage to you or when you bring up marriage and get an ambivalent/wishy-wash answer, that is your signal. Anything along the lines of "Idk," "let's see where things goes," or "we're good where we're at." That type of talk. You can "see where things go" just fine if you have an end destination.

A lot of women think a man wanting to impregnate them shows that the man values and loves her. No. He wants to have (raw) sex and control her with no intention of commitment (marriage). They know if they get her pregnant that she will be less likely to leave and he can incrementally slice off her standards until she has none left while he knows he will never marry her and he can continue looking for "Mrs. Right."

It is an idealized notion of what a romantic relationship is supposed to be like. It also leads to people oversharing and giving too much to their spouse. Men do not need to know everything about your past, present, and future. Also, most people I hear talking about their partner is their best friend is women. Posts like this are so real and make me feel so dumb at the same time. I say this because I did this when my last relationship ended. Dumping him faster than I can spell my name! Her boundaries are out of whack. What is so off putting about her statements is that she is trying to say something was wrong with the gf for being upset and that her boundary was invalid. In the replies to the tweet, she goes on to state that the gf was "insecure" and agrees with someone saying the gf was displaying controlling and abusive behavior. The mental gymnastics of it all is nuts.

Why? sex. It is sex and having someone take care of domestic duties while financially chipping in. They are not thinking about producing kids. They are thinking about the (raw) sex. Throw the question back at him! I am in my 30s too, and I get asked that question. I simply say "I haven't found Mr. Right yet. It could be you! Time will tell." and that's it. One thing that I think the handbook should mention is that engagement = wedding date set. If there is no wedding date, then you are not engaged. Men who really want to marry you and are not giving you a "shut up" ring have an approximate date in mind when they propose. Also, "serious" and "committed/commitment" are terms only reserved for marriage.
