Cancel Culture doesn't stick for genuinely funny comedians. It only bolsters their careers. Dave Chappelle has been killing it and is apparently even opening up his own comedy club. Louis had it kind of bad but even he came back and sold the shit out of a special and is selling out shows on tour. The one racist guy from SNL got canceled, and it actually stuck, but he wasn't funny. Burr's fine. I'm seeing him next month.

I disagree. I'm not a parent, so maybe I'm missing something, but my parents divorced when I was a teen and in my experience the biggest source of friction in both of their relationships post divorce was children. Specifically clashing over different parenting styles. "I parent my kid like this. I know you parent your kid like that, but that's not how I do it, so you better not do it with my kid. Also, while holding firm on this boundary I will happen to ignore it parent your kid in a way that's…

It's complicated. As someone who grew up in a split home and watched both my parents date I honestly think it might be easier for a childless partner to date a single parent. I don't think man/woman matters so much in this. My parents were very lax, very open, and not ones to shelter. I was given a lot of time by myself, unattended. Allowed to make mistakes, make my own choices. They didn't really filter the content I consumed. I grew up watching the Simpsons and Southpark. My step mother on the…

I think you skipped the last paragraph of their post. People settle for relationships for the sake of getting a warm body to share their bed with. If: Your partner gets mad that you occasionally spend time to yourself or on your hobbies, or Your partner spends all of their free time to themselves or on their hobbies, or You dislike spending time with your partner so much that you're trying to bury yourself in your hobbies to avoid them, Then you need to break up. It really is that simple.

It's totally unenforceable though. During the first couple of minutes of video dating they could just verbally swap info and meet up.

Also, back then you could get that good job, and work it your entire professional life. If you showed up everyday and worked hard you could expect regular promotions, raises, and a pension. Now just about every employee is viewed as expendible and the main way to move up if to job hop. 'Good' jobs are requiring more and more experience because they know they can scalp from their competitors as long as they pay a little better, which ends up being cheaper than training greenies

It's kind of funny that there was a period in the 80's/90's where everyone was banging their coworkers and then it fell off as they collective realized it was a bad idea.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
