Yea, i want it to be done as well. Don't to want to argue and for it to get ugly. I'd rather be able to stay in the house. Have a few pets that would i would not be able to walk away from. She will have to deal with that.

Not that I am financially stable. I don't have any savings myself. I do have a solid job and good side hustles. Have some assets beside the house but nothing of any substance.

Same here my brother. I'm starting day 9 since my wife of 23 years dropped that bomb on me. Devastated does not even begin to describe what I am going through. It is a good thing that you are reaching out on this sub. There is a lot of good advice here. Reach out to family and friends for support. It was only yesterday when I was able to eat a meal. Lost 11 pounds. It sucks and you cant see any type of future yet. Take it minute by minute. Then work on hour by hour. This is what I am doing. No o…

Take care of yourself brother. That really sucks. It is much easier for women to meet men than the other way around. I will be doing my best to keep a false face if I see her in public with a new man. It will fucking crush me.

Do your best to keep your head up. Being part of the sub is very therapeutic. Having brothers to talk to, going through the same shit is benefical.

Thank you brother! I'm doing my best right now. I'm hoping it gets better. I'm keeping my expectations low and when does get better it will be a better surprise if that makes sense.

Dont want to drag it out. She wants out. So go. Not looking to see her anymore than I have to.

That is what I'm worried about one sided and not in my favor. My STBXW built a career. While she was in school, working morning noon and night. I was taking care of our daughter. Bringing to school, picking her up, dinner, baths, and so on. She is making great money. With her 401k and Esop. She is sitting on a few 7 figures. When I told her I was not moving out of the house. She offered to pay the mortgage off. I said great. I still want half of the Esop as well. A coworker in the same company o…

Yea low self esteem and self loathng has been something I have been dealing with for most of my life. That shit started with my abusive mother. Cliche' right? I have hobbies that make me money which is great. I have been practising Qi Gong for years now. Worked on myself and lost over 100 pounds. So from that standpoint I'm doing really good. Just wish I could flip the switch off as easily as my STBXW. Thank you for commenting brother. Hope you have a great new year.

Thatnk you for the kind words and great anology. Love the abyss and galaxie. Brings me hope in such time of despair. I'm looking forward to spending time with an old friend, me.

Sound advice. We are all hurting. Reach out to everyone and anyone. Keep talking it helps. Ive been on the phone, talking, texting for the past 6 days now. The pain is immence and doing a number on me for sure. Even us strangers on the internet can help. This sub is full of men just like you. Good luck to you brother

I am right there with you brother! Broken is exactly what told a coworker today when she asked how I was doing. Ive been texting and talking to whoever will give me a few minutes of their time. Along with playing with my dogs I feel better that I will grow stronger and wiser. Cant see that yet. Still working surviving minute by minute. Next is hour by hour. Cant see clawing my way out any other way. Hope you stay strong as best you can. You are worth it.

Thank you brother. Alot of us starting this transition needed to hear this and put it into our minds.

Sorry you are feeling this way brother. This sub has many men going through that same pain. The bomb was dropped on me Christmas eve. Get out of the house and do something you enjoy. Try and become your own best friend he might be buried in there some where, just bring him back out

Dude, I was so close to ending it all 5 days ago. My wife dropped the bomb on me christmas eve. My new puppy jumpedvup on me and gave me a bunch of slobbery kisses. He brought me back. I still have those dark thoughts they arent as strong now. Love that guy.

Keep your head up brother! I cannot say it will get better. Right now in my situation all I can handle is minute by minute. Maybe I might be able to work on hour by hour soon. You did the right thing by staying in the house. Get with your lawyer and discuss your options. You may be able to get some type of leniency with the judge. I have no clue. Concentrate on yourself and your son/daughter staying with you. If you have friends and family lean on them. Talking about this bullshit does help. Eve…

Im really glad I found this sub. Even though we are all internet strangers, but there is alot of good advice being tossed around. This traumatic experience is fucking devastating and the most difficult time in our lives. We all are going through some shit. But we are here for each other. Im on day five that my wife dropped the bomb on me. Have eaten very little. So far in the past 5 days I have only eaten 2 granola bars and one bite of a sandwich. Dropped 8 pounds. I know that i need to eat so i…

Sound advice. We need to put ourselves first now. Make ourselves the priority. I lost my best friend and my life has been turned upside down. Yes it does not mean that life is over. Just going down a differant path. The range of emotions right now is unbelievable. Accepting is one tough pill to swallow. I appreciate everyone here.

Thank you! I have been on the phone all day talking with some family. So close to doing something drastic. I have 4 dogs and my new puppy jumped up and gave a bunch of kisses so my mind is not going down the dark path right now. Thank you for the kind words. Even talking to strangers on the internet is helping me.

Thank you for those kind words. Hopefully this can be over soon. I contacted a lawyer but its the weekend and noone is working. I think we will be able to do a no fault divorce, but i want to be sure to get what i am entitled to. She has a couple million in esop and 401k. Im staying in the house. She will be leaving. She offered to pay the mortgage off, but i want more.

Hello, im 58 and My wife dropped the bomb on me christmas eve. Wants a divorce and i am devastated. Have not eaten in 3 days. I am severely hard on myself with the lowest self esteem already. Now this. Thinking about taking my life. Very hard to see myself moving on.
