The male burden of asking someone out on a date? They could just not do it if they don’t want to go on a date and wait for a women to initiate. Unfortunately it probably won’t go well but more power to them.

Unironically yes. The initiator of the date which in a heterosexual pairing almost always happens to be a man should offer to pay for a first date they invited someone on.

I mostly agree. I’ve never gone on a first date that didn’t lead to a second one but if a person invited me to go out on a first date and then implied we should split the check that’d be the last one. Whether you want to admit it or not the act of asking someone on a date is essentially asking them to do you a favor. Okay so I guess this example isn’t so much strength as physical endurance. I’ve been training and running 30-40mpw the past 5 years basically and have taken little breaks. neither men nor women should feel shame in not wanting to date someone significantly below their income level. because unless one person is paying for the other all the time it will be hard to live parallel lifestyles. of course, some people are okay with paying all the time, and good for them but it shouldn't be morally objectionable to not want this. Historically men have been okay with this arrangement in exchange for sex, housework, and childcare but times have changed... so not sure why men…
