i was in 5th grade (age 11) and we had a snowball fight during gym hour and a boy from my class threw a read hard, frozen ball at me and it hit me in the face so my upper lip was bleeding a bit, and when i went to complain about it to my teacher and tried to make her tell everyone not to throw the frozen ones she dismissed me, that i’m overreacting and that its nothing and he probably just likes me a lot. thats the most clear memory i have, but i’m sure i heard this said even earlier.

I mean if he truly was a scientist he would be down with scientific methods, he would be organized, he would be prepared in advance for it, he would control his variables. Also if he were a high value person we would not plan a date if he had a super important expiriment going on. Pick a more suitable time. hey OP. Just my two cents... yes, its overwhelming. yes it is disgussting and horrifying. thats why you need an antidote of kindness and perserverance. i would highly recomend anything by gloria steinem (e.g. As If Women Matter); she discusses a lot of hard topics in her essays, but she writes with such insights and compasion, it calms me down. yeah, the eye-opening stuff pisses me of, but in a good way. i also started volunteering at help-phone center specialised for violence against women and …

i’m a big advocate for journaling, i write a bit every day as part of my morning routine and then a bit extra if i’m upset, worried or confused about sth, or i don’t understand what i’m feeling. i very rearly read what i wrote, but i kinda deal with everything thats bothering me when i try to find words to put my feelings on the paper. and it feels like this bizzare little accomplishment, when i see my 9 moleskine notebooks from 2019 and 2020 neatly stacked on a shelf 🤷‍♀️☺️
