I don’t know I’m not privy to the data. Are you? In any case I think it’s gross to shame someone for being poor in 2021. A worrying amount of men do play the theatre to get laid, and those are in my experience particularly the type that over spends on stupid shit like a Michelin experience as an introduction date. It’s all so American to me. I think that the exploitative nature of men cannot be measured in the amount of money he spends on a woman, because you know, it’s not the fuckin Victorian …

This was not the idea of my original comment. I’m saying that it’s appalling that kindness and genuineness in a relationship can be measured by income and/or how many (expensive) gifts the man offers. Poverty is a real thing and some people cannot afford buying expensive gifts and pay exorbitant amounts for a Michelin restaurant experience. Now I categorically disagree with these traditionalist caretaker conceptions to begin with, but to illustrate better how I take issue with the FDS wealth obs…

What struck me most with that sub was indeed the overt and morbid ways by which they ridicule and shame poverty. Disgusting all round. A very capitalist and traditionalist group of miserable individuals.
