Not in my relationship there isn't.

Fair enough. I'm really not emotional about any of this. Your life is your life and so long as they don't harm anyone else your choices are completely valid. It's not a way I could ever live, which is why I'm curious and fascinated. I'll say again, feminism is not about telling women how to live, it's about opening up options and letting them choose. There is no reason why we shouldn't have as many choices as men have. If you choose a traditional marriage/family life, that's great. If you'd had …

I wouldn't ask had I not seen men do any number of crazy things. So in that case, what if he had a brain tumour? What if he came down with a sudden mental illness? What if he cheated? This is not intended to make you question your choices. Please do not answer if doing so only makes you angry.

I have an aunt (by marriage) who, while it isn't something we discuss, is clearly a submissive wife... at least on the surface. I mean, she is really the sweetest lady who just wants to make everyone happy. My uncle is a bossy, o…

:) If you are implying that I believe that because I am a feminist, and have benefitted from the feminist movement, that therefore I believe anything that calls itself feminist is good, you are mistaken. There is plenty that calls itself feminist that I disagree with, do not think is good, and do not even think is feminist. My issue with this conversation is that the article itself is not addressing feminism, but people who believe they are feminist when in fact they are not, and then letting th…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
