What's the problem? It sounds like the problem is with a hang up you have

Nobody's gonna be your friend if you're not a friend to them. Trust is given, not assumed. A lot of girls get approached a lot anyway, and most of the time it's by someone with too much confidence and not enough value. What someone says is less important than the context and how it's said. Tell when someone wants you to leave.

Then whatever words you want man, that one works for me just fine. Most of the time it's how you say it anyway, and I like ways of saying lots with few words which 'vibe' is useful for. It's cringe if you think it's cringe.

You don't have to cut off the conversation when a girl tells you they have a girlfriend if it's otherwise going well. Something like 'That's ok, I love your vibe! Why are you so happy?" Would have been a fine way to continue the conversation. You can have friends that are girls, there's a lot of benefits to it. Good job though man, you did well!

Joke answer "I'm secretly 17 I don't know how to break hearts yet" "I can't give you friction burns, check it no pubes!" "Because I just got fired so I'm the best charity case around" It looks like dodging because comparing yourself to others is a quick way to bring out something vulnerable or toxic. She's subconsciously seeing if you can make yourself look good without being an asshole. Fair vetting I'd say. So what do you say? I'll make you laugh? Just make her laugh then. I'm safe and fun to …

I take 'treat em mean' like 'hold no quarter' or 'don't hold back'. Like 'that was a mean omelette' mean not 'I kicked her in the shins and called her a bitch' mean. Not an expert
