My go-to openers are either observations, compliments on what she's wearing or most of the time: "Hey I don't usually do this but I saw you and thought you were cute so I had to come say Hi!" At this point 90% of girls get awkward or say they have a boyfriend. I stay chill and do a bit of screening: e.g. ask their name, "So what's your day looking like so far?", "What are you up to?", "You don't seem like you're from here, are you English/Spanish/Whatever?".
