I got my first ever unsolicited dick pic from my ex’s cousin two weeks ago. Sent it straight to his mother on Facebook messenger.

I just read your post history and sis, you dodged a bullet. Texting and snapping other women obsessively while with you is not something a HVM would do. Gaslighting you when you call him out for disrespecting your relationship is not something a HVM would do. I’m fresh out of a LTR and he was 3 years younger than me too. We rented a place together. He stopped putting in any effort, so I bounced. And even though I’m the one that broke up with him, it still hurts. But he was a NVM. It had to be do…

I did this. I took care of him. I did the grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, took care of the animals. Got him random little gifts. Paid for dates. Gave him space, sex, emotional support. 🤡 What did I get in return? Did he take care of me? No. He stayed in bed when my mom brought me home after surgery. He went out to dinner with his friends while I spent the night in the ER vet with my sick cat. He resented me for wanting him there when I had to put the cat down three days later. He got mad at…

I just wanted to take a second to speak on the importance of having loving, strong, empowering, supportive women in your life. In my Pickme days, I always made the grave mistake of fully immersing myself in my SO’s friends and family without requiring reciprocation. It wasn’t important to me to have my own solid group of girlfriends. I just got out of an emotionally abusive relationship with a narcissist. He was thrilled to add me into his life and we did stuff with his friends and family every …

I could’ve written this about my narcissistic ex. He was also mean, nasty, and racist. I left him a month ago and moved out. He was a total prick about it, but I wasn’t surprised because if he was cold and cruel in the relationship, of course he was gonna be cold and cruel after. I’ve had some bad days, but I’ve been leaning on my friends and family heavily and the bad days are becoming less and less. If I could leave, you can too. Free yourself from this misery and set forth to have the bright,…

I’m here for this. Ain’t no one that got away. But rather a close call. 😅 I think about how miserable I’d have been for so long if I’d stayed. Thank God I didn’t.

Wow. What a sweet story. This school-aged boy had more empathy and consideration for you than my adult ex ever showed for me in our 3.5 years together. What happened to him in adulthood? I hope he’s happy somewhere. Your story gives me hope that there are kind and caring men out there.

I’m in the same boat, sis. I left him just short of a month ago. We were together for 3.5 years and lived together. He went from setting an alarm on his phone every night to write me a short poem for a book to give me at Christmas the first year, to a disrespectful emotionally abusive asshole. He thought I’d never leave. I’m so glad I did.

Just ended a LTR with a NVM that lovebombed me initially. Then we moved in together and got comfortable and he stopped putting forth any effort at all. Started to devalue and disrespect me. It took me a long time to get out and I had to leave my place, which sucks, but there is definitely a reason that FDS suggests not moving in until engagement/marriage. I learned a valuable lesson.

My ex used to complain that I never wanted to have sex. He also used to throw his dirty clothes on the floor til it was covered, play Xbox every night, leave his dirty dishes in the sink, never replace the toilet paper, only ever make food for himself, refuse to care for our shared pets, and leave crumbs all over the couch. Spoiler alert: I did, in fact, never want to have sex.

I’m fresh out of a LTR with a narc and feeling the same way, sis. Lately I’ve been thinking about the HVM I know in real life. My brother is a great guy and really loves his girlfriend. One of my close friends is married to an absolute gem of a man. I have a childhood friend that has been extremely supportive through my breakup, taking me out for lunch and distractions, and I’m 100% certain he has no ulterior motive. I know you didn’t mention dating, but when I do date again, I will be vetting h…

I’m saying. This just screams LVM. Why do you have a wife or a girlfriend if you seem to seriously loathe her? Oh, that’s right, because you get a live-in bangmaid. Let her go be with someone who worships the ground she walks on, dude.

When my live-in ex bought a motorcycle without telling me, we were out at dinner with his mom and he told her I didn’t approve. She looks at me and goes “omg but it’s something WE’VE always wanted!!” and then she bought herself a helmet for his bike 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Our first Christmas together, she asked me what I got for him and I told her I’d saved up to get him some Beats By Dre headphones. My recent ex went on a smear campaign and turned all of his friends (that we shared for the last 3.5 years) against me. He told them that I threatened to tell the landlord he was an abuser. What he failed to mention was that two days before I broke up with him, he got off the Xbox to come to bed and got mad that I was laying on my phone in bed. After demanding I put the phone down or leave the room, he slapped the phone out of my hand and then started kicking me off the bed. I used my butt to pu…

Anything I ever brought up was met with a giant sigh, “what’s your problem?” or my personal favorite, him just leaving the room. How are these men out here able to get themselves dressed and go to work every day, pay bills, but can’t have a god damn conversation or admit when they’re wrong?

Maybe he doesn’t hit you but you never know what kind of mood he’s going to be in when he gets home from work, so watch what you say. Maybe he doesn’t hit you but he calls you a psycho for addressing boundaries or disrespect. Maybe he doesn’t hit you but he says fuck you, shut the fuck up, and calls you a b*tch “as a joke.” Maybe he doesn’t hit you but he criticizes everything you do. You walk too heavy or got u…

My recent ex is a NVM narc who feels that he’s better than everybody outwardly, but on the inside he hates himself. He is insecure in his masculinity and compares himself to everyone. He once told me that I’d never do better than him, but also routinely voiced his concern that I’d leave him. I finally did 12 days ago. It is a shame because he is hot. His personality is just shit.

My very recent ex went to the bachelor party of his best friend last September and I had my suspicions because he went radio silent over text the night they got strippers to come to their air bnb. The next day he came home and told me all about it, swore up and down that he didn’t do anything, said all his friends “had an agreement” aka they weren’t going to cheat on their gfs. We were at the beach with his friend group a few weeks ago when someone let it slip that there weren’t only strippers, …

His mommy raised him to think the sun shines out of his ass. We went to her place a few months ago and on the way there, he got into a mood. When we arrived and he walked into the kitchen, she asked him a question and he walked out without responding. I told her he was in a mood and she smugly told me she would fix that. She made him a sandwich and walked it outside to where he was standing. He snapped at her to leave him alone. She came back in the kitchen and started crying and questioning why…

Like the other commenters, I got walked over. Everything became about his family, his friends, his wants, his needs. The few times I tried to establish boundaries/call out disrespect, it was met with gaslighting and stonewalling. So I stopped trying. I was mistreated for a long time. I became filled with a burning resentment and finally broke it off with him 11 days ago. You can read about it in my post history. Being the “chill/cool” girlfriend is never worth it. It pains me that I can see the tops of “like” and “love” reactions to the post. Idiots that feed into this bullshit are why LVM/NVMs will continue to do stupid things like this. I needed to see this today. I’m 10 days out of an emotionally abusive relationship with a narc. The guilt and what-ifs have gotten to me a little. I’m not gonna lie. But ultimately he is who he is, and he didn’t treat me like shit because I deserved it. He treated me like shit because he is a piece of shit. Thanks FDS 💕

This is me. I got out of an emotionally abusive relationship with a narc 6 days ago. Last week he kicked me off the tv in the living room to play Xbox. Two hours later he came to bed where I was laying on Facebook. He told me to “get off that” and “put that down or go out there (the living room)” because he needed to sleep. I told him to ask me like an adult. He then proceeded to slap the phone out of my hand 3 times and then use his feet and legs to kick me out of the bed. I took my butt and ki…

Thank you. And I know that deep down. I was in a relationship prior to this for 3.5 years as well and he was really, really good to me. But he was also porn addicted. It’s just that I’ve been shit on and disregarded so much in this relationship that I generally believe men are trash. The only one that isn’t trash is my brother, and that is literally it.

Exactly. I was too devastated to make a complaint too. He comes to me in dreams sometimes. I have a recurring dream where he survived that ordeal and I got to bring him home. ☹️ I find his hairs on sweaters in my closet and there is an old chair we don’t use at my mom’s house that is covered in it too. Wow. Our stories have many similarities. My boy had gone into diabetic ketoacidosis and I was really unhappy with the way the emergency vet handled things. They slapped a nice $140 charge on my $4k bill for a “telephone consultation” when one of the vets called me to update me on his status one afternoon and wouldn’t let me get a word in at all. We had seen on google reviews when we first brought him in that they charged someone else $140 for a phone call and we were told that was a lie and it w…

I am learning this lesson. I used to think that maybe I could get through to him by concisely explaining where I was coming from. I am in a LTR that I am working on leaving. I was obsessed with my cat. Everyone that knows me knows this. He was the love of my life. Today is the 1 year anniversary of my cat’s death. He was my first pet. He wasn’t old and took ill and declined very quickly. His passing was traumatic and I am not over it. I have been dreading this day for months. I told my SO last n…
