So she spent the last 19 years as a stay-at-home mom raising your kid, and now you want the taxpayer to have to pay her bills? Do I have that right?

Ok but to be clear, we’re not talking about money you had prior to marrying her, as OP implied. No state, that I’m aware of, would give an ex wife or husband, assets accumulated prior to the marriage. In your case, I have to ask if you have kids and if she was a stay-at-home mom, because that’s the rationale behind alimony: the partner who devotes their life to raising the couple’s kids shouldn’t be destitute (and a burden on the state), if the other partner gets bored. Your case seems to illust…

have you ever heard of this thing called a period or a question mark theyre what you put at the end of a sentence so a reader can more easily understand wtf your saying, also stop using commas at all you don't know how to use them and it just makes your writing look even more stupid than it already is,
/r/MensRights03/09/22 02:03 AM

Well it's possible that our semi-literate OP never ends up making a 6 figure salary and that she does. I'm not sure how much an undergrad degree is really worth if you can be two years in and still write like a 2nd grader.
/r/MensRights03/09/22 02:01 AM

Or maybe she'll end up making more than he does and she'll end up paying alimony. One of my best friends is paying $4000/month alimony to her piece-of-shit 35 year old able-bodied ex-husband.

Your boy is 20 and writes like he's in the 2nd grade. He has no job at all. Maybe he'll graduate college and make 6 figures. More likely, he'll be working at Starbucks.

20 years old and writes like someone in 4th grade (if even). It's sad how badly our education system has failed this man. I work with people fluent in multiple languages, yet there are Americans who can't communicate properly in one.

It’s not about moral superiority. Women probably shoplift wayyy more makeup products than men do. That doesn’t make men morally superior, does it? I’m not by a PC but I’m sure if you look at incidents of sex crimes, you’ll find that men are the vast majority of perpetrators.
/r/MensRights02/09/22 07:21 AM
0

Nope 6 is also too young. You said you’re from England and antifeminist. That makes you pretty likely to be xenophobic too, hence Brexit. Again it’s not moral superiority. It’s the fact that husbands can overpower their wives coupled with the fact that sex is different for men and women. For example, there’s no such concept as a woman “hate fucking” a guy.
/r/MensRights02/09/22 07:11 AM
0

No I do not think the age of consent should be lowered to 8. Was that so hard? If you want to talk about unreported rapes, then should we include the vast majority of those that happen to women too? The issue was never about moral superiority. The issue was that if it’s legal to rape your spouse than far more wives would be raped then husbands.
/r/MensRights02/09/22 07:04 AM

The stat also lines up with police reports and convictions. If you hadn’t voted for Brexit, you would have said so by now.
/r/MensRights02/09/22 06:58 AM

I’m 100% right about everything I’ve said in regards to rape laws in the United States. It’s ok if you voted for Brexit. It just means you’ve done more damage to your own country than feminists ever could. Cheers bruv.
/r/MensRights02/09/22 06:55 AM

The CDC doesn’t prosecute people for crimes. It’s a federal agency anyway, and rapes are almost always state law. Why won’t you answer the Brexit question? Did you vote yes?
/r/MensRights02/09/22 06:51 AM

Horray for you. In America rape is a state law crime (for the most part) and each state has its own definitions. Did you vote for Brexit?
/r/MensRights02/09/22 06:45 AM

It’s not defined that way.

Did you actually watch the show?
/r/MensRights02/09/22 06:37 AM
-12

Why is your comprehension so bad? If the show was trying to say that it would be ok to murder those men, then she would have murdered them and the show would have portrayed it as a good thing. But that’s not what happens. She clearly lost control and she was stopped. Like how do you walk away with such an insane interpretation? Do you think the character just goes around shooting and killing men even when she’s not in Hulk form?
/r/MensRights02/09/22 06:27 AM
-42

It’s pretty simple: she’s good at managing her anger but she’s not perfect. So, just like Bruce, she “Hulks out” sometimes. The show is NOT advocating for murdering everyone who damages your ego.
/r/MensRights02/09/22 06:00 AM
-46

Yes obviously it’s hard to control Hulk powers. Sometimes they get the better of you and you end up hurting people. There have been like 5 movies about this.
/r/MensRights02/09/22 05:41 AM
-54

Ok but Bruce Banner's trauma happened after he became the Hulk. So we're not comparing the same things. She-Hulk is saying that she learned to control her Hulk powers more quickly than he did because she's been managing her anger her whole life.
/r/MensRights02/09/22 05:12 AM

Fuck off dude. The statistics don't bare this out. Men are the perpetrators in 90% of rapes. And yes the threat of violence and death is a pretty good motivator to comply. I think your eviction story is very unique to you. Also, were you actually even evicted? Like you went through the court process of an eviction, in front of a judge? Is that what you're saying? Because that's the only way someone can be evicted.

Also to rape your husband under the same laws. But as a bonus, husband-raping is still not a crime. Because raping men at all is not a crime in an of itself; at most it counts as sexual assault. This varies from state to state. In all states it's illegal for a woman to rape a man. Up until recently, it was legal for a man to rape his wife. Yes technically this was true the other way around, but the vast vast vast majority of married men can overpower their wives. This is not true the other way a…

Cool, but we don't have to go back 500 years. As of 2015, it's still legal for an adult to marry a minor and then have sex with them (legal statutory rape). 87% of minors married between 2000 and 2015 were girls. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_marriage_in_the_United_States#Sex Up…

I'm saying that in countries like Germany, you can see nudity on TV at all hours of the day. It's just not a big deal there even if (gasp) a child sees a naked woman. America has more in common with Middle Eastern countries, in this respect.
/r/MensRights01/09/22 03:00 AM

Sorry you have such a problem with nudity. Just realize that your views are far more inline with Middle Eastern countries like Syria and Jordan than they are with European countries like Sweden, Denmark, and Germany. Take from that what you will.

England is not "the 3rd largest nation". Even if you include the entire UK (Scottland, Ireland, England, Wales), it's still only the 21st largest nation. And the men who are murdered, in your statistic, are not being killed by their female dates nor domestic partners, so not really relevant to this convo at all.

lol I don't think his race has anything to do with this. Women get murdered by men. A lot. Happens to hundreds every day If a woman goes to this dude's house, she risks: Getting potentially murdered outright Getting potentially raped outright Getting threatening vibes from this guy to the point where she'll "agree" to have sex to prevent said violence, since she can't escape (the implication). Even if there's only a 10% chance that he'd get violent if she doesn't agree to sex, is that a chance y…

That's terrible, but that could theoretically happen to anyone interacting with a woman who happens to be a terrible person. There's nothing unique about someone being broken down on the road, in that situation. Meanwhile, people like Ted Bundy would ask women for help with the specific intent of luring them to their deaths.
/r/MensRights09/08/22 04:49 PM

My point was that if you want to look at gender disparities, maybe look at the more serious ones. Maybe I’m 3x as likely to be slapped by my girlfriend than I am to slap her, but being slapped by a girl is ultimately pretty trivial. It’s annoying more than it is life threatening. You just can’t compare it to being murdered.

If you look at murders, rather than just general "abuse", men kill women at more than twice the rate that women kill men.

I can't even imagine what your point is.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 10:10 PM

Ok but there have been multiple male serial killers (such as Ted Bundy) who lured women to their deaths via asking for their help moving furniture or finding a dog, etc. To my knowledge, this hasn't been the case with women.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 09:52 PM

Lol those are stats of rape CONVICTIONS from 1980. Again, at that point it wasn’t even a crime to rape your wife. How often do you think rapes were reported at all? I pulled up some stats from 1940 Germany. Apparently there were no convictions that year for killing Jews. Guess it didn’t happen.

I personally know about a dozen women who have had abortions. How many people do you know who have been drafted?
/r/MensRights08/08/22 08:44 AM

Lol women were raped in the 1970s all the time. What are you even talking about? It wasn't even a crime to rape your wife back then, jesus christ.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 06:36 AM
1

Yea fine get rid of it. My point is that no American here is actually worried about being drafted. Yet it's constantly brought up here. If men don't have anything more pressing or real to be upset about, then it makes this subreddit seem pretty unnecessary.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 05:23 AM

Bending your words? I asked you "what law would you amend or make?" and you said "Legitimately what law would fix that crap? Most of it is just from people being dick heads to men for dumb reasons." So that sounds like you don't want to change any law at all.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 04:59 AM
-14

I think gender equality is great. However, what does it say about the "men's rights movement" if its raison d'etre is to get rid of a law that has had no actual effects, to anyone, in over 50 years and probably never will again? You compare it to abortion restriction laws, but those impact thousands of women every single day.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 04:55 AM

So you're in a "men's right's" group, but you have no desire to change the law in any way? Do I have that right?
/r/MensRights08/08/22 04:48 AM

The last time there was a US draft, computers barely existed at all. Military warfare has changed so dramatically, that there's no benefit to having warm bodies who don't want to be there. Ask anyone who's served in Afghanistan or Iraq and they'll be the first to tell you. Outside of these dumb-ass hypothetical conversations, I guarantee that "being drafted" isn't in your top 100 things you're actually worried about.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 04:47 AM

So what law would you amend or make? This is a men's rights group, right?

You think Russia's gonna go from invading non-nuclear-armed, right-next-door, former-vassal-state Ukraine, to invading the United States? You can't actually be that stupid.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 04:34 AM

Ok do you live in a country where there’s a legitimate fear of annexation by a neighboring super power? Are you worried about Canada invading?
/r/MensRights08/08/22 04:20 AM
1

Ok so what's an actual men's rights issue where you think the law needs to be amended?
/r/MensRights08/08/22 04:17 AM
0

No. The driving causes of this subreddit seem to be fake or imaginary (a draft that hasn't happened for 50 years and won't happen again, family courts that aren't actually biased against men but we pretend they are, etc) Whereas the causes of the women's groups are shit that happens every day to thousands of people.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 04:02 AM

OP's incident is one person's side of the story and even it doesn't make him out to be any better than her. It has nothing to do with men's rights, just two people verbally abusing eachother.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 04:01 AM
1

Ok forget I said the word hypothetical. The incidents that are discussed in the feminism group are real issues that happen constantly. The incidents discussed here are exclusively hypothetical or imaginary.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:58 AM
0

Because I was distinguishing between incidents that happen constantly to those that only happen in the hypothetical. I think you knew that, hence you're not arguing in good faith
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:46 AM
1

Statements like that make me think you're not arguing in good faith
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:44 AM
0

...yes. That was my point. These things actually happen to women every day. Men haven't been drafted in America for multiple generations, and they probably never will be again. Hence, hypothetical.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:35 AM
1

I'm not saying women are saints. I'm saying that it's always, exclusively men who downplay incidents where adult women sleep with 15 year old boys.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:34 AM
1

The three things I listed happen to thousands of women every day. Would you like me to phrase them in the past tense "I was denied to the right to an abortion. What should I do?" Would that help you?
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:32 AM
1

They do, absolutely. But the feminism subreddit is also about real issues: "What if I'm denied the right to an abortion?" "What if I'm date-raped?" "What do I do if my boss is constantly touching me at work?" Meanwhile this sub is mostly about hypothetical issues: "What if I'm drafted in an imaginary war that will never happen?" "What if I have a kid and then am one of the tiny % of custody cases that are decided by a court and there's imaginary bias that numbers don't actually back up?", etc.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:26 AM
0

Well it's female rapists that are constantly posted about here. Interestingly, it's always men that have sympathy for these women and say things like "where was she when I was 14?". It's mostly women that want to see these women punished. In fact, if it were only up to men, a 25 year old woman having sex with a 15 year old boy probably wouldn't even be a crime.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:21 AM
0

The problem with this subreddit, is that it treats everything as a zero sum game, which kindof gives away its real intention - to bitch about women. How would women having fewer shelters help men? How would women being denied the right to an abortion help men?
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:12 AM
0

The post itself is only emblematic because it's so highly-upvoted. It represents the will of this community, like it or not. In terms of sentencing disparities, what do you want to happen? Do you want a 30 year old adult man who has sex with a 15 year old girl to do less time? I've literally never seen a post here lamenting a harsh sentence for a male statutory rapist (not that I think they should), which would at least be on the topic of "men's rights". So what is it that you want to change?
/r/MensRights08/08/22 03:09 AM
0

I said "or incel subreddits", implying that this is not an incel sub. Not sure what you mean about people being shunned. This is currently a top-voted post: https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/wii8ve/i_saw_an_interesting_clip_that_said_society/ It's just hating on women. It has nothing to do with "men's rights" at all.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 02:54 AM
1

Well the admins typically ban subs like this, or incel subreddits, because male shooters routinely become radicalized on online forums. How many "manifestos" have been posted on places like 4chan? Too many to count. Have any female mass-shooters been radicalized online? Have there even been any female mass shooters in the last 20 years?
/r/MensRights08/08/22 02:39 AM
-39

Are you actually worried about being drafted? Like for real? If you ask anyone who's served, the last thing they'd want is to be alongside someone who's there against their will. It just doesn't make sense for our modern military, outside of the context of the US being invaded. It's such a remote possibility that anyone who regularly worries about a draft should probably be diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
/r/MensRights08/08/22 02:37 AM

Your anti-woman bias is so incredibly strong. It’s almost like this post, of a couple that seems equally abusive toward each other, was tailor made to reveal someone’s bias. Not gonna miss this subreddit when the admins ban it
/r/MensRights08/08/22 02:30 AM
-1

Nobody said anything about justifying any abuse. My point was that they both seem like they’re abusing each other.
/r/MensRights07/08/22 01:57 AM

Sounds like this is an ongoing pattern in their relationship. It’s impossible to know who started the abuse, from this post.
/r/MensRights07/08/22 01:56 AM

I think you're really making a lot of assumptions here. All we have is his version of events where he admits to abusing her verbally and in texts. So we don't know who started it.
/r/MensRights06/08/22 05:36 AM
-153

Kinda sounds like they're both verbally abusing eachother. He says things like he "has a go back" and "text nasty shit to her", and this is his version of events.
/r/MensRights06/08/22 05:19 AM

Well that really doesn't have much to do with safe haven laws. With safe haven laws, both the father and the mother are protected from criminal prosecution.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 10:26 PM

Lol if a woman with kids from 3 different fathers was running for President everyone would be talking about it. I really don't know what world you live in. I suppose because you see so many messages online about "body positivity", you don't think fat women get ridiculed either.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 09:40 PM
-2

Show me a female world leader or CEO who has kids from 3 different men, anywhere in the world. Promiscuous men are absolutely viewed more favorably than promiscuous women. Is this even a real question?
/r/MensRights05/08/22 09:33 PM
4

I'm sure if OP wanted to start a men-only subforum, on that same site, he could. When I search do a quick google search in my city, I see tons of "men only" support groups and therapy groups. Autism is very different for men and women, so having separate groups actually makes a lot of sense in this case.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 09:11 PM
1

Do you think a father wouldn't still be able to get custody in that situation? Of course they would. No question. The laws are only to prevent criminal prosecution. Those laws are made to protect children who have already been abandoned by their father and the mother doesn't want them either.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 09:02 PM
-5

The former gets called a "slut" and a "whore" by at least half of society. The latter gets called President, CEO, etc.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 08:59 PM

The woman would be judged way more harshly. Was that your point?
/r/MensRights05/08/22 08:57 PM

Lol yea it's totally men who are judged for being sexual. You nailed it. Imagine a woman who had kids with three different men.... ... ....Now imagine a man who had kids with three different women......congrats you just imagined our last President.

Ok outside of a handful of early MCU movies, starring (at the time) lesser-known characters, women have been a huge part of the audience for superhero movies. Does that work better for you? Does that sufficiently prove that comic book movies are not, and never have been, exclusively "male spaces", since at least the year you were born. As for making a movie that stars ladies, in order to attract a female audience, that's just what the entertainment industry does. Or maybe you think it's a coinci…
/r/MensRights05/08/22 05:03 AM

So it’s “woke” to put females in your movie in order to attract a female audience? What about all of the hundreds of movies that feature buff masculine white dudes in order to attract a male audience? How is that any different? How is either of these “woke”?
/r/MensRights05/08/22 03:31 AM

They probably did a gender flip because market research showed them that the ghostbusters brand didn’t have much cache among women, and they wanted to make $. The only ideology at play is capitalism.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 03:28 AM
1

Ok so it was “woke” because it starred women? Or are you saying that it was woke because they rebooted a franchise with women? Kinda weird how nobody seemed to care when the Terminator and Alien franchises went from women-starring to male-starring. Somehow nobody said “keep your politics out of my childhood!!” then.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 02:03 AM

I’m trying to use woke in the nebulous way you are. If Captain Marvel and Ghostbusters 2016 are woke, then I suppose Wonder Woman is too.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 01:52 AM

No. I was talking about comic book movies in general. Your stat doesn’t include ANY big well-known comic book characters. It only includes MCU movies prior to Avengers 2012. So you’re only talking about 3-4 movies with B-tier characters.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 01:42 AM

I’d say the same thing about Ghostbusters 2016. It was just bad and unappealing.

Did you even read the article? It mentions a bunch of factors why both genders are hesitant to marry.
/r/MensRights05/08/22 01:23 AM

That article was only talking about MCU movies before 2017. So you’re only taking about comparatively lesser known characters like iron man, captain America and Thor. Those are all well-known characters now, but they were B-tier prior to 2010. That stat does not include ANY of the HUGE comic book franchises like Spider-Man, X-men, Superman, Batman, etc. As for Disney, again it seems like something only gets derisively called “woke” when it fails. Wonder Woman and Black Panther are arguably the m…

Ghostbusters 2016 was a poorly-made reboot of a popular franchise from the 80s that failed at the box office. But so was Robocop 2014 So was Total Recall 2012 So was Baywatch 2017 So was Conan the Barbarian 2011 So was Red Dawn 2012 etc etc etc I don't think you'd classify any of those other failed 80s reboots as "woke" and yet they "went broke"....almost like there's no correlation whatsoever

Hey idiot, if you look at who's buying tickets to MCU movies, it's over 40% female and always has been. https://www.thedailybeast.com/guardians-of-the-galaxy-is-not-a-watershed-moment-for-women Imagine being so stupid that you think giant corporations like Disney are catering to women due to "woke ideology" as opposed to corporate profits.

We're talking about movies though. Superhero movies are, and have always been, incredibly popular with women.

ok so it's woke if it fails, not woke if it succeeds. Got it.
/r/MensRights04/08/22 05:13 PM

…ok what about Wonder Woman? What about Black Panther? What about the constant stream of “non-woke” movies that flop? Was Morbius woke?

/r/MensRights04/08/22 09:05 AM

So your theory is that all these men have been killing women in Australia because of a new policy, they just came up with, to teach young boys to be less violent? That makes a lot of sense.
/r/MensRights04/08/22 09:03 AM
-4

…ok more minor than Deadpool? Jonah Hex? Shazam? Ladies buy movie tickets. Black people buy movie tickets. White hetero male isn’t the only demographic that spends money. Sorry, but this is just capitalism.
/r/MensRights04/08/22 08:51 AM

Well if you’re just describing a bad character, that happens for both genders. What about Iron Man or Superman or Captain America? They were also good at everything they tried. Nobody called them Mary Sues. I suppose Captain America had to get his powers…through drugs. Are you not worried about what message that sends?
/r/MensRights04/08/22 07:41 AM

Ok that’s all true, but there have been plenty of crappy boring flawless male superhero characters too. Somehow it was never an issue until it started happening with female characters.

Batgirl has been a character since 1961. She predates the Tim Burton movies, the Christopher Nolan movies, and characters such as Mr Freeze by decades.

So you’re saying that they took Mulan, a movie from the 90s, and turned it into a superhero movie? Gee, I wonder why. Could it be that superhero movies have been the most profitable genre for the last 10 years? No I’m sure it was because of the woke agenda.
/r/MensRights04/08/22 06:39 AM
-7

So Superhero movies, the biggest movie genre, by far, across all demographics, is now a “male space”? Having 1 female led super hero movie for every 10 male led super hero movies is somehow male extermination?

75% of domestic partner homicides, in Australia, involve the man killing the woman. You can play around with all of the other statistics, but murder is murder. You can't really fake that. https://www.anrows.org.au/media-releases/two-new-reports-contribute-invaluable-data-to-what-we-know-about-intimate-partner-homicide-in-australia/ That seems like a bigger problem then whatever psychological damage you think boys might feel from being told not to be violent.

“Codifying it into law” just means that Congress passes a federal law. The next Congress can then undo it. It’s actually far weaker than abortion being a Constitutional right, which is what it was under Roe. So “codifying into law” would be the band-aid.

Well, if I was in charge of this subreddit, I'd make a rule that all posts had to actually be about Men's Rights, for starters.
/r/MensRights02/08/22 01:45 AM

Well it makes this subreddit a joke, is my point. Basically it's just a place to bitch about women who annoy you, as opposed to anything resembling something that actually cares about "men's rights".
/r/MensRights02/08/22 01:11 AM
-3

Well I don’t think the majority of people on this Men’s rights subreddit would even agree to a law banning male circumcision, and if it’s not about changing the law, then it’s just complaining. The world isn’t the USA. You’re right. However it seems like the vast, vast majority of people in this subreddit aren’t from a country with compulsory service.

The MGM issue isn't real because it doesn't seem like the majority of people here support the idea of male circumcisions made illegal....so what exactly are they fighting for? The draft issue isn't real because it's not something anyone here is actually worried about. Even if the USA got into a major war with China, for example, the modern military wouldn't even want soldiers who were there against their will. That's just not how a transAtlantic or transPacific war would be fought in the modern …
/r/MensRights01/08/22 11:53 PM

Yes they should coordinate to modify these state laws. That was literally what I was saying in my original comment. Reproductive rights aren’t a brand new battle. For decades, states have been putting up bullshit restrictions like waiting periods and mandatory vaginal ultrasounds.
/r/MensRights01/08/22 11:14 PM
-29

....ok but we're living in the present. Right now, in the present, a lot of state laws only provide an abortion exception to "save the life" of the mother. So if a mother's life isn't in danger, doctors aren't legally allowed to abort, even if the fetus is incompatible with life and making her sick.

Seems like half the grievances on this subreddit are more theoretical than actual. “It’s not fair that women get their own gyms!!” “Would you go to a men’s only gym?” “Eh maybe if it was more convenient and not too gay”
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:28 AM
0

My initial statement was that one was worse than the other, period. His retort implied that being perceived as a creep was worse, because it happens more frequently. Do you agree?
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:25 AM
0

You literally said “they’re not equivalent. I agree”. You were clearly heavily implying that often being perceived as a creep is worse than infrequently being raped and murdered. So I asked you if you truly believe that, would you trade places. You’ve been dodging the question ever since.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:23 AM
1

I’m not really sure what you’re advocating for then. You said that men are the primary victims of murder and that male-only gyms would make the world a better place. I assumed those two thoughts were connected as opposed to random utterances.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 09:21 AM
-2

lol yea i'm sure that's a real concern for you. I'm sure every time you leave the house, you're worried about random women off the street stalking and murdering you.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 07:28 AM
-1

I'm simply pointing out how your arguments don't connect. How would male-only gyms prevent men from being murdered if it's men doing the murdering?
/r/MensRights31/07/22 06:45 AM
1

lol you're calling me disingenuous while trying to claim that being perceived as creepy is a bigger problem for men than the fear of being raped and murdered is for women. My asking you if you'd trade places is simply pointing out your disingenuity.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 06:44 AM
0

Well by that logic, wearing seatbelts is just “moral panic” because you’re more likely to die of a heart attack than from a car crash.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 06:26 AM
0

Aren’t you implying that being thought of as creepy is a more serious issue than being raped and murdered? So if that’s the case, it would be irrational not to want to trade places, right?
/r/MensRights31/07/22 06:24 AM
0

Lol I notice how you deftly phrase it as “men being the victims of murder” so you don’t have to acknowledge the gender of the murderer. And you say I should be in PR. Again, how are male only gyms “good for humanity” if it’s men who do most of the killing? How do men benefit from that?
/r/MensRights31/07/22 06:23 AM
0

Ok so you’re saying that you’d trade places then?
/r/MensRights31/07/22 06:20 AM
1

Lol I don’t think you know what that term means. The daycare child molestation crisis of the 80s was a mora panic. The current fear of gay teachers grooming their students is a moral panic. Women being afraid of being raped and murdered by random men is just reality.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 06:19 AM
1

I’m just asking if you’ve ever thought “I don’t want to go to the gym because I’ll have to smell women”
/r/MensRights31/07/22 06:12 AM
1

Haha I dunno man. So do you stay away from women due to their smell?
/r/MensRights31/07/22 06:03 AM

If the smell of women bothers you, I don't think you're straight anyway.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:55 AM

This is a study from Australia. Have you ever lived there? Random bar fights between men is essentially a way of life. And that's what this analysis doesn't control for. It doesn't distinguish between a man being jumped while innocently walking down the street, vs a man getting into a bar fight with someone he didn't know. Both would be counted the same.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:54 AM
0

I'm suggesting that you're either out and proud or in denial. I hope it's the former.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:48 AM
-1

Again, you're supposed to be backing up your argument that women getting murdered by random men is a "moral panic". The fact that men also murder other men isn't really relevant to that line of reasoning. It's also counterproductive to your argument that men would benefit from men-only gyms, in the same way that women would benefit from women-only gyms.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:47 AM
0

If you just look at random attacks by strangers (random person walking through a dangerous neighborhood), than no. A man is not more at risk, in such a situation. If you include fights and arguments and gang activity, then sure, but that’s not what we’re talking about.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:41 AM
0

Lol well if you’re not out of the closet, good luck with that. If you are, good for you.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:39 AM
0

By random women?
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:37 AM
1

Yes as a man, you don’t ever think about being stalked and raped and murdered. You don’t have to. As long as you stay out of “sketchy neighborhoods at the dead of night”, you’re probably fine. In fact, you’re probably a lot safer walking through such a neighborhood than a woman.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:32 AM
1

Ok men murder other men more than they murder women. Cool. So if both genders want to avoid being murdered, it sounds like they should stay away from men. Hence why some women would want to go to a female-only gym.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:30 AM
-2

Yea being raped and murdered is definitely the same as someone maybe assuming you’re creepy. Totally equivalent.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 05:27 AM
-2

Ok well I think the gender of the perpetrator is relevant in a discussion of men only gyms. Literally this conversation is about the rationale for women-only and men-only gyms. So if your point is that men are killing other men, I don't see how a men only gym does anything to alleviate that.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 02:21 AM
-2

It's not "moral panic". I used to live in Louisiana. I can tell you plenty of true cases, just in the last decade, where women were murdered by, essentially, complete strangers. Is this something that's likely to happen to a woman? No. However it absolutely does happen and, as far as I know, it only goes one way. I've never even heard of a case where a woman murdered a man she didn't even know, due to a romantic obsession.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 01:23 AM
1

Well a gym is a place where you stay for 1-2 hours, multiple times per week, often wearing very little clothing. So it's not quite the same as just walking down the street. Anyway, I'm not opposed to male-only gyms. I just think the concerns/fears aren't anywhere near on the same level. Women will go out of their way to go to a female-only gym, even if a co-ed gym is more convenient for them. It's hard to imagine a man making this same choice.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 12:58 AM
0

I don't know if there's any set pattern for where stalkers meet their victims. I don't doubt that some men might not feel comfortable around women, but it's not due to fear of rape and murder.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 12:48 AM
-5

I mean it's a little different right? I can think of multiple recent cases, in my state, where women were murdered by random men who stalked them. I can't think of any cases, in any state, where a guy was murdered by a stalker woman (I'm not including cases, for either gender, where the man & woman were in a relationship)
/r/MensRights31/07/22 12:40 AM
-10

So you don't want to go to a co-ed gym because you don't want a random woman to assume you're going to ogle/stalk/murder her and maybe she'll walk out of the room or something? Seems pretty low stakes to me.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 12:36 AM
-58

It sounds like you have a lot of issues, and I think it goes far beyond feminism or expectations to "man up". Even the most effeminate gay men can have tons of friends and a great social life.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 12:29 AM
-12

Why do you feel the need to go to a "men's only" gym though? For women, it's because they don't want to be ogled, stalked (and potentially raped and murdered), and chatted up while they're working out. So are any of those reasons why you want one? Or is it just to prove a point?
/r/MensRights31/07/22 12:19 AM
1

The quantitative data is clear. Here's a good case study for qualitative data. .....proceeds to not link any "case study" nor even paraphrase one. If you can post any links to back up your claims, I'll gladly read them.
/r/MensRights31/07/22 12:12 AM
-5

So you're literally advocating for laws that explicitly favor men, in their language. Isn't that the exact thing that this sub is always hating on feminists for? By the way, I visited your site and chose the state with the worst possible grade (Mississippi) and here's all it said: https://imgur.com/a/oqzmn2R So even the worst state, according to your source, doesn't have any bias in the law. Finally, do you have any proof or data to back up the claim that "biased family court judges" are actuall…
/r/MensRights30/07/22 10:04 PM
-5

Which law exactly? This subreddit is constantly saying that women have no grounds to complain about differing outcomes because "the laws treat men and women the same!!!" So shouldn't that argument apply here too? Show me the law.
/r/MensRights30/07/22 09:24 PM
10

Notice that in these stories it's always the boy's mom who wants harsh penalties on the female rapist. The fact is that it's men who generally see this as "not a big deal", not women.
/r/MensRights29/07/22 05:25 AM
6

Lol this is the first time I've seen someone asking for an "echo chamber". What's another word for that?.....hmmmm......let me think.....oh yea a safe space.
/r/MensRights28/07/22 05:00 PM

Ok but it seems like only 5% of custody decisions are made by the court at all. You don’t seem to be refuting that, which was my main point. For those 5%, you’re saying the father only gets better than “the default” 12% of the time. What about for mothers? Also where are you getting this info?
/r/MensRights27/07/22 10:47 PM
-2

I get the sense that OP is probably between 17-21 years old, without any experience in the things he's talking about. "So where does the assumption of a bias (against fathers) come from? According to the census data, 51% of child custody arrangements end in amicable agreements giving the mother custody. The court did not decide on these agreements, the couple alone did. Statistics from The Pew Research Center state that only 22% of fathers living apart from their children see them more than once…

I never said men were serial killers. I never even compared "indecent" men to serial killers. I used "serial killers" in an example to demonstrated how asinine your original line of reasoning was. I think your brain is broken.
/r/MensRights26/07/22 02:00 AM
1

I'm saying that we're literally talking about the 1% of "indecent men", not all men. Did you even read my comment? I'm also literally just quoting OP who said "Out of the 3.97 billion males (I don't know if that includes trans women/men so Don't ask please.) only a small percentage are indecent."
/r/MensRights25/07/22 06:45 PM
1

Lol that's like saying "if you substitute the word 'serial killer' with 'black person', you sound like a bigot!!" "I am deathly afraid of being alone with a (black person)" See how asinine your argument is?
/r/MensRights25/07/22 06:37 PM
1

Couldn't find it either. OP isn't technically wrong, but even if only 1% of men are "indecent", that still means that the average woman will be in contact with 1-20 "indecent" men every day, depending on her job/lifestyle. So OP's post is kindof self involved, in that respect. It's only looking at things from the perspective of the 99% decent men, as opposed to the 100% women who have regular encounters with the 1% of indecent men. Does that make any sense?
/r/MensRights25/07/22 06:30 PM

I got about halfway through, but it seems like his core thesis was: "Feminists hate men because they wish they had a penis" Sources to backup his claim: some theorizing the Freud did, which psychologists haven't taken seriously for like a century.

You don't think 25 year old males receive bond for sleeping with 17 year old girls all the time? You think they all have to stay in prison until their trial? Absolutely not. $25k isn't even that low. The only reason this is even a news story is because the offender was a woman.
/r/MensRights25/07/22 05:08 AM

Well she’s probably not attracted to you. Some girls will look past obesity. A small percentage may actually like it. That’s it. You don’t actually have to DO anything.

"I want people to stop saying we live in a patriarchy. All I ask is that women are honest about that." Literally his only demand is that people stop saying something that bothers him. That's it. Imagine if a feminist's group's only demand to society was "it bothers us when guys say that women live life on 'easy mode'. Please stop saying that, and we'll be happy. That is all". Would you take that seriously as a movement?

Most men do agree on banning circumcision. I don't believe this is true at all. Most of the men I know chose to circumcise their own kids, so I doubt they'd support making the practice illegal. I personally just want it so an unfit mother is not able to keep custody of the child, same as an unfit father. What makes you think this isn't already the case? Assuming not, what law would you like put in place to change things? Men die at a much higher rate at work than women do Men choose to take more…

I mean if you can get men to agree on banning circumcision, I'll support you. The rest of the things you posted aren't laws. You're claiming the trials in "domestic and family court" aren't fair. Ok, not sure if that's actually true, but what law do you want put in place exactly to "make them fair"? A law that men and women each have to win custody 50% of the time or the judge gets removed? In what way are "working rights" already not fair for men? What about "rape trials"? Kindof hilarious that…

Other than "getting rid of alimony", which would literally just lead to a ton of homeless and impoverished elderly people (who your tax dollars would have to support), you haven't actually suggested any law or policy changes. You're just bitching about random peoples' attitudes without actually making any real suggestions.
/r/MensRights30/06/22 02:40 AM

Ok so what laws would you like to see changed that would result in less male combat deaths and suicides? Do you want to prevent men from joining the military with gender quotas? Men have just as much access to therapists as women do. Do you want to make a law to force them to go if they don't want to? What laws or policies do you actually want to be different (or do you just want to complain)?

So you want alimony laws gone completely? So if a man devotes his life to raising the children, while a woman works, and then she leaves him at age 65, he should just be pushed onto the street? What do you want to happen here? What law do you want changed that you think will bring the male suicide rate down? What do you want to happen here? You realize the thing you’re describing as the problem (being expected to ‘man up’) is pretty much the literal definition “toxic masculinity” right? I don't see how you can make the case for a "matriarchy" if men occupy the vast majority of positions of power, both in the public and private sectors. Also, there might be more men on top positions, but there are a lot more men at bottom positions. Are there though? If we're talking about wages, I'm pretty sure the lowest wage jobs are actually occupied by women.

I've heard people bring up these points here and there, but I've never seen anyone here post about rallies to attend, laws to back, or politicians to support. Like, I haven't seen any serious calls for laws to ban male circumcision. Is that even what people want? As far as the draft goes, that hasn't been a thing in 50 years, and if it ever was a thing, I imagine women would be drafted too, since they make up so much of the current American armed forces.

I think the issue is that many see MRAs as reactionaries to feminism as opposed to actual advocates for men’s rights. In this sub, I’ve never actually seen any calls to action to change any specific state or federal laws or policies or to support any particular politician, which is what you’d expect to see from an actual rights organization.

Curious what statistics you’d use to prove this. The vast majority of government officials and CEOs, in almost every country, are male. So I think you’d have an uphill battle trying to trying to statistically prove that we live in a female-led society.

A prosecutor can't win a jury trial without evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. If there's no video, no visible injuries, and the victim is claiming it didn't happen, you're not gonna get a conviction.

If Biden can get the 51% majority of Democrats in the Senate to get rid of the filibuster, they could make it a law, though this wouldn't make it an inalienable Constitutional right. So the next time Republicans control the House, Senate, and Presidency (like they did in 2017), they could just undo the law.

The Supreme Court justices that tried to keep them an inalienable Constitutional right were all appointed by Democrat Presidents - 100%. Outside of a Constitutional Amendment, there's no way of doing this outside of the appointing Supreme Court justices...which they did.

Lol Republicans only care about "state's rights" when it fits into their agenda. When it comes to a state enforcing any sort of gun control, for example, they don't care about "state's rights" at all. It moved the legality of abortion back to the state legislature rather than the judicial branch. "The Judicial Branch" never had any ability to pass laws. What this decision did is change abortion from an inalienable individual right to something the government (state or Federal) can now outlaw.

The actual incident of abuse is not caught on camera If the boyfriend refuses to cooperate with the prosecutor, they basically have no choice but to drop the battery charges against her. If this was just about money, I think the abortion debate would be very very different. You'd probably see abortion being made illegal in a lot more places, if it was just a matter of life of the fetus vs money. But the thing they're balancing is the life of the fetus vs the bodily autonomy (and risk of injury, permanent damage and death) of the woman. Just imagine, for a second, if you couldn't take caffeine or adderall for 9 months (and you could go to jail if you did), and that's probably the…

I disagree with this. I was specifically talking about looks, and my point was not that women in their 30s are unattractive. My point was that by the time a man is in his 30s, he's experienced once being attractive to a girl/woman who he no longer finds attractive. He's cognizant of the fact that people can change in such a way over time. That's all.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/20 08:17 PM

I think another thing that changes, as you get older, is you actually experience girls you used to be attracted to...becoming less attractive. That doesn't really start to happen until you're in your late 20's. Then you start to think, if I marry a girl now, who's 30, what's gonna happen when she's 40? 45? 50? When you're 30, five years seems like a very short amount of time. Ten years doesn't seem that long either.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/20 04:28 AM

No. Don't give this insane idea any credit. There are plenty of women with high sex drives. They still choose to fuck the most attractive guys, because why the hell wouldn't they? Even if a woman needed to fuck a different guy every week, for whatever reason, there's still no reason to ever fuck an ugly guy. If anything, the ugly guy is more likely to develop feelings and become dangerous/possessive.

Will you stop being willfully stupid? First of all, if all girls are vaccinated, the chances of a boy contracting HPV will be drastically reduced. Second, we vaccinate girls rather than boys because cervical cancer is very common whereas oropharyngeal cancer is rare.

This article is clearly written from a pro-life viewpoint. As another poster pointed out, the costs of abortions (most of which aren't taxpayer funded) don't come close to the cost of welfare and foodstamps to feed the unwanted child. There's no economic argument that favors making abortion illegal.
