Stop thinking of it as an ideology, political bent, or even a worldview; this shit is a religion, a highly theonomic one at that, and women like your teacher are the clergy.

Okay, good points, hadn't thought of any of that! I wonder, though, what effect hormonal changes in men will have on all of this.

That's true, I meant to include that bit but forgot it when I typed up the initial response. Absolutely, no more "oops I thought I took it", maybe it will reverse some things in the family courts, who knows. Male birth control, though, doesn't fundamentally change sexual dynamics the way female birth control (or simply "birth control," including condoms) does. Men weren't getting pregnant before, they won't be after. Women, on the other hand, can express their hypergamous nature and dictate the …

I fail to see how male contraception will make any meaningful change. If anyone can point out where I'm wrong, please do so! Contraception was a seismic cultural shift because it nearly eliminates a biological check on female hypergamy, not because of which gender administers it. In other words, even if a pill is invented for men, women still have the pussy. Sex robots, on the other hand, have the real power to tip the scales and return to a more equitable equilibrium. They are the antidote to f…

I'm not OP but I was wondering about this too, at least the daughter part. As I understand it, favoring the female sexual strategy betrays your son by teaching him to be a beta, essentially - unless he's top 20% of men, in which case the female strategy mostly turns him into a literal stud. In either case, the male becomes a beast of burden.

In his defense it's certainly possible to talk about meditation or spirituality in a way that honors the self and obscures the original purpose. But I had a similar thought to yours - that's meditation. It's not condescending or attention-seeking to call a thing what it is.

Re the conclusion: you're virtue signalling about not virtue signalling. It's meditation, there's nothing wrong with calling it that.

I understood and appreciate your overall point; distraction works better than willpower sometimes. And I don't doubt that the frontal cortex is a relatively recent development in human evolution. However, nothing in either of the articles you linked to gives a timeline for the evolution of the frontal cortex. I seriously doubt that any appreciable changes have occured in humans over the past two thousand years - that's no more than an instant in evolutionary terms - let alone something that, arg…

Even now, living in the Feminist Matriarchy, I have to assume there's there's still some PR value to being a married public figure as opposed to a single one. Plus, he probably gets some "cover" from feminists - Smith's status would not be what it is if his behavior came from a single male celebrity.

I'd rephrase OP's point as "caring too much". Betas are dependent on the outcome of the conversation with a girl. You're right that they don't take as many risks, but no one is immune to the thrill of a perceived risk - in this case, the risk of "what if I say something wrong" is a big deal. Whereas the confident man doesn't even see the same conversation as a risk, he truly doesn't care. Put another way, remember how "magical" you felt for yoyr first crush? A beta is still like that, so when he…

From the video at the bottom of this article: (A feminist being interviewed by a feminist filmmaker) "I'm not sure what the goal is for MRAs because it sounds like they feel out of power and they feel like their voice isn't being heard, and certainly if anybody can understand that it's feminists." Translation: men's problems can be solved by letting women define masculinity. Men should let women tell them what to do. Not to mention the silliness of equating redpilm with MRA.

Get him to challenge you. Call him out on his bullshit, without making an overt threat - think amused mastery. The test of "who's the better man" isn't about who's stronger, it's about who's more disciplined and in control. I'm assuming you saw Mayweather-Pacquiao? Be Mayweather. If he loses his cool and takes a swing, or even says something like "fight me bro" you've already partially won. You still have to win the fight, but you don't risk being seen as the beta instigator; he does that. Or yo…

That's not what I'm talking about, though it could be if the market for your job disappeared or, for example, you got a new boss that was objectively shitty but you decided to stay on because "I've already spent this much on it." Even though it's clearly no longer a net gain. Men are especially susceptible to this fallacy when it comes to women - "she cheated on me, but we've been together for years soooo...better stick it out". Nah bro, cut that shit immediately.

It was something more sophisticated than that - a logical conclusion of their inherent sollipsism and massive propensity to rationalize.

Ah shit my bad I thought I was responding to a totally different thread in another subreddit. Sunk costs - the idea that because you've already put x effort into something, you have to keep investing it. The female counterpart had to do with their inherent sollipsism - that's all I can remember.

I'd like to add as a newbie, it's refreshing to see people willing to disagree and call each other out (respectfully). The groupthink is not strong.

This. I have been looking for a concise explanation for why women operate on emotion. I assumed it was just the sollipsism (women are infinitely more valuable to reproduction, after all) causing them to never "grow out of" childhood, i.e. emotion as priority.

You think most girls found this exchange hot? Hell no. Eh, maybe maybe not. Two possibilities spring to mind: A) most women are bisexual and b) girls today think they're supposed to find that hot, or at least applaud the characters' empowerment.

The battle of the bastards did jerk off the feminists pretty excessively. This was mostly my point. But you're right, it is a mixed bag. Since this thread bas blown up, kinda, I've thought about it more. Here's an interesting question - what happens to monogamous, family-oriented women in GoT? Less of a redpill idea and more just a criticism of feminism, I suppose.

Interesting take. Fair enough, strong female characters can exist. Brienne, for example. The issue I'm beginning to see, or rather a theme that's taking over (maybe), is that A) masculine personality traits are something women ought to strive for, aka "be a badass", and B) they're actually better at it than men. Women must rise up against their oppressors and take over, aka feminism rooted in Marxism. Cultural programming.

Ravaged, then, if you like. I didn't use the word in its original context (Roman military punishment) but guess what? Words change over time. Tyrant originally meant someone who took power by force. Had nothing to do with oppressive regime or any of the context we now associate it with. Chattel, which now just means "stuff," basically, used to refer specifically to cattle. Meaning changes, context changes, language evolves. It's a perfectly legitimate use of the word.

Lemme guess - the evil "men being men" get shit done at first but then fuck up royally, a woman/women come and save their asses. Said men see the light and disavow their piggish, misogynistic ways, instead choosing to constantly validate women and in so doing, win over their hearts (by being really nice, of course).

she kinda screwed over her brother by not telling him, although Jon is emotionally weak and any smart individual would have done that What? Why? She wanted to win just as much as him, if not more so. (Also note here that she's the one to point out that Rickon is already dead, while Jon's the one hanging on - i.e. men are the emotional creatures and women use cold logic. Feminism.) Unless you're suggesting she was willing to let thousands of men die, including her own brother (she believes), just…

"Strong indepenent woman Sansa" and the rest of that was sarcasm. She admits to knowing nothing about battle except "don't do what he wants" - nobody ever listens to the poor women. (/s) And of course she doesn't bother to tell him during her tissy fit that she's got thousands of cavalry en route. But it's okay, because that way she gets to be a strong empowered woman. (/s)

I thought it was great when I started five years ago. I don't know your tastes, but, if you're into fantasy mixed with realism (in particular the "good guys" do not win, they get fucked in the ass) it might be up your alley. As I said, I thought it was great - but that was when I was more bluepilled, and entertainment/fantasy in general (not just the genre) nformed my life hugely disproportianately.

Interesting, I hadn't thought of that aspect. The only real baddies are certainly a strawman for dark triad.

Yep, super insecure about the mindset of society at large. Cultural norms clearly have no bearing on the world I live in. There's certainly nothing insecure about you worrying how insecure I am. As I said, the purpose was not to whine but to make an observation. I don't care about the fiction itself, I care about the narrative that is being perpetuated. "Art imitates life". Take it as an example, a small piece of the puzzle. Or, take it as you will.

As someone else pointed out, Arya is a brat - joins a club, says she'll follow the rules, then when it comes time to make her first kill she can't do it. Instead of paying the consequences she girl powers her way out of it. Sollipsism.

I don't think it's necessarily impossible to be an out-of-shape Alpha, or at least be sort of alpha in some ways. He has, for example, been extremely successful.

Catelyn died for being too much of a mother. Remember, motherhood is icky. Cersei and Margaery got in trouble for being sluts - ASD. I don't have much of an answer for Olenna - perhaps that bit displays some of the schizoid doublethink showing through, i.e. she was too masculine. Something similar for Ygritte, but also - her affection for a man was her undoing. If only she'd remained a strong independent woman in her tribal society that, miraculously, upholds gender equality (yeah right). But, f…

Personally I don't find Tyrion deranged at all, except when he indulges in the fantasy of believing people will ever respect him. He isn't exactly alpha but he gets shit done. His dad was an alpha, so perhaps some Nice Guy syndrome going on.

Totally right, I'm just beginning to see it. Episode 7 was okay but essentially just a reboot. Better than the prequels, sure, so the bar was set low, but that's not saying much.

Hah good point on Arya. Typical leftism - they set out to prove grrl power and in the process show Arya to be a brat. Sansa's been a tool from the start ("I love Joffrey, I want to marry him!") but now she's being portrayed as a Badass Gurl. Not that she actually is, you are correct. And Baelish is just a walking contradiction: a beta with lots of power. Case in point, had access to free pussy for years but wouldn't do it because of his interminable oneitis for m'lady Catelyn (who is married to …

Which episode were you talking about first, 8? IIRC that's where Arya gets out and...Cersie/Jamie stuff, Tommen betrays his mother and proclaims the High Septon's power, Edmure is released and kills Blackfish, giving Riverrun to Jamie. IIRC. Can you elaborate on the feminism in that episode?
/r/TheRedPill24/06/16 06:28 AM

You are correct. Perhaps this post is a function of my relatively recent and still-budding awakening. In the show's RP defense, Bron. Ned Stark gets his head cut off (Machiavellianism). I'm sure there's more, it's a mixed bag.

Lol I can't speak for others but I am what you might call a "recovering shithead". As in, I see the pointlessness of it. I watch it primarily with my hb7 plate-material (3 weeks in). My only one atm, but for now I just need experience. It's not ideal but I'm just glad to not have oneitis for the first time ever. Point being, I know it's a waste of time but you gotta have some fun.

Fair enough. I think you're missing my point kinda, which is the over-arching girl power theme while men get shit on left and right, unless of course they are subservient to the wise and powerful Woman. Sansa and Baelish - that's tricky. Clearly some one-itis going on, but at the same time he is fairly dark triad and possibly moving towards what he wants from Sansa (wanted from Catelyn). In some ways this might actually resemble a level playing field - trading sex for commitment. Danaerys is dep…

Indeed, it's not there yet. But I'm less and less excited for the last two seasons. I have to agree, Arya is based as fuck. Dat girl power narrative tho And again, Tyrion fucked up kinda - at least he brought some stability. The narrative, though, Reeks of "women rescuing men from their foolish ways". Speaking of Reek, that scene where the literally emasculated Theon stands by while his sister (I always forget her name) flirts with and ultimately gets Alpha'd by Danaerys. That bit speaks volumes…

2 cents: I used to be obsessed with Civilization 4. I'd be in class studying economics and I'd be looking at how everything I was learning could improve my strategies in the game. I largely credit the 2016 election cycle with transferring that interest, so to speak, onto real life - however fascinating the game may be, reality is infinitely more so. Upon some reflection it is a fairly cringey text. At this point in my own development, I think it's valuable for me to ignore that, in order to begin solidifying a "no big deal" mentality. I tried it, rather than conducting a useless thought experiment, and I'm proud of that. That said, you're right, it does scream "give me attention" (which, I guess, didn't matter much in this particular case - she's already somewhat invested). Understood. Theory vs. practice is a legitimate issue, and I am as susceptible as anyone else, if not more so, to understanding the theory intellectually but failing to embody or integrate it into my personality. I'm not offended, thanks for the input. Edit: Would you mind commenting on my understanding of general seduction theory, as evidenced by my original post? I understand what you're saying, my purpose was just to share what I felt was (or could be) a useful tactic. It was rather arrogant of me, I suppose, but I never intended to "outsource" the testing of it. My intention in posting was to get a sounding board on the merits of my idea and discuss the theory behind it.

Ahh, that's a good criticism. Anyways I just sent it, no response yet but it's whatever. She spent the night last night so perhaps I'm feeling a bit over-arrogant. It's all just a learning experience!

Yeah it doesn't seem all that original, though I did come up with it independently. As far as whether the girl's heard it or not, I see that as less important than whether it's authentic and provocative. I guess I'd say I tend to focus on frame control above all else - in this case, the frame is "you want me and I know it, despite your attempts to hide that (due to fear of being called a slut or whatever)"
