As a rule, I never use instant messaging. Comes off way to eager in my opinion, removes aloofness. Likewise in asynchronous messages always wait 15 minutes before replying. Ignore it. If nothing has changed then you are dwelling on it too much. In fact it's more attractive if you just laugh it off and keep going. I would say a good rule of thumb is that if you think something might be a shit test, treat it like a shit test. Even if it wasn't intended that way you still come off looking decent by not letting something phase you or throw you out of step.

I disagree with this. Not as a tactic as I think it does work, but generally as a person. I've built my inner game around a lot of Candor. I use the D word a lot because I have specific rules. Update, because why not. This week has been a roller coaster. She came over last night and intended to leave most of the night, but ended up staying.
