smart women don't care about appearance half as much as smart men. Different priorities. Height is appearance.

I wouldn’t see Maximus from Gladiator not cuddling his wife when he could. Then again Maximus is basically too perfect x’D

I always put personal responsibility first, but I'm also WAY more distrusting of men in general than i used to be, and i do believe completely that women have more to lose and more hurt to feel because of what I've seen so far, it's as simple as pregnancy and the possibility of becoming a social pariah in your circle. idk about the cheating thing because i haven't seen that, maybe the women in my family are more scared of sex than the average woman in reddit. What i have seen is women willing to…

Do you think it's more varied in progressive countries like the US? I live in a more traditionalist environment and sometimes what i read here correlates to what i see everyday to a point where it's kind of hilarious.

Interesting. I mean i hope you're right, I guess my question would be what the majority of men and women feel regarding this. i already think most people are pretty shallow and trashy but the idea of all people having that as a set state is weird. All men feel that way and they have to be socialized to not feel that disgust, shamed into not feeling that way, and women also need to go past the natural shame and fear/vulnerability they feel and just be comfortable in their sexuality. I guess i wan…

True, though most men in general that ive heard about are very prone to cheating and having kids out of wedlock (from my parents time), from my own time what ive seen is irresponsibility everywhere from both sexes and a lot of people getting hurt multiple times, and becoming jaded even. I'm trying to be a positive person but I also am very scared of getting hurt.

rosmaskinen Are you a guy or a girl? Also thats basically how i feel too, just comfort in the vulnerability of being naked with the person you care about.

I have. But the woman is usually super old and has been in many unsuccessful relationships

Maybe it’s because I really like working out but to me he looks so much hotter now

Nope, still pretty common. Got enough examples from close aquaintances. (And I’m just talking about the ones stupid enough to leave their 20 year old mistress pregnant)

you can choose to be interesting, choose to dedicate to make money, choose anything of value really and make something of yourself by the time you're 40, those pick up artist types have something going on (at least the money they make from thirsty guys in need of a daddy). Where would that get a 2/10 woman? Seriously dude, just being good at something combined with some charisma and showering can get guys a long way, and with how easy girls are nowadays? it won't even have to be a pity fuck. …

unless you're a woman lol. Main reason i lose sympathy for guys fast is that at least they get to choose what aspect of their lives might attract women, all girls have is be hot and get them quick cuz aging is a thing XD

Oh i wasn't bad at it, they were bd at relationships, what i learned was precisely that. Guys that don't take the first step aren't good at relationships.

I’m not saying it’s fair btw, but what would a guy think of a girl that’s desperate enough to ask him out first? Or what would a girl think of a guy that’s desperate enough to ask her out and not even pay for their first date? The solution is ofc the guy pays for the first date and after that it depends on how they decide to handle it. I’ve asked guys out first before and I regret it, It’s better to wait for someone that has the attitude necessary to take that first step. I strive for a lot in m…

i think that the person that asks out first has to pay but after that, once a relationship has been kinda stablished, ofc people need to start splitting or taking the other out for a treat.

then get really good at something and gain her respect, not whining isn't exactly manly. Not saying it's fair but it works

i think that as long as they stop being pathetic they're good to go. Ive seen many forgiving women when it comes to genetics in their partner because they respect their boyfriends, because they have other stuff going on like being really fit or smart or suave or idk rich, something! A guy that forgives looks or becomes enamoured with her other qualities later is much harder to find.

When I read comments like these im amazed at how different dating is in the third world country i live in, all people are short and a bit poor and dating seems pretty chill. maybe there's a lack of options and entitlement here

I don't want to be seen as easy and give out the wrong idea, or get talked about, tell me how to fix this double standard without ending up fucked and dumped and then were talking

thank you for being different then, I hope she finds someone like you.

I mean I guess there are exceptions but no one i know has managed, all my aunts are fucked. One is an incredible successful doctor that travels a lot and she is both rich and lonely, hasn't found a guy that wants an actual relationship and probably will die alone. average dude in that position would get lots of opportunities for commitment
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/18 09:09 PM
2

what is the solution? a girl gets seen as a slut if she fucks guys without getting some form of commitment, the double standard wont disappear, and if you want a very particularly attractive kind of woman, why in the world would you expect her to settle for anything less? Unless someone invents a way for the stud slut standard to disappear then idk what the solution to your problem is other than lower your standards a loooooot.

Ive seen this shit in the lower class families from the countries I've lived in (south america). It still happens, but many gorgeous "señoritas" come out of the situation and find pretty good husbands (ignoring some cases of abuse), idk what the solution is

i think what they say is true to a degree, most guys have the capacity to be highly successful at SOMETHING, and thats enough. They don't have to be hot, super ripped, rich and interesting as long as they excel at something (of course if they want a bunch of hot 20 year olds they better be all of those things). But whatever their situation is they better work at it, if they're pathetic they're fucked. With girls as long as they're not downright disgusting to look at there's hope. But a disgustin…

I'm both afraid (infidelity specially scares the shit out of me) and currently not interested in anyone I know. I guess receiving male attention is exciting, ok bullshit it IS exciting and certainly better than back when I was a sexless blob, and I notice this attention it more and more lately because I have been improving myself consciously, but all the guys that are actively interested (mostly classmates and some teachers) are mentally unstable, really young (or they're my teacher and fuck I'm…

huh, I like this one, then there would be no double standard for cheating once in a LTR and that'd be amazing

i think if you could have it like this it'd be fun, but yeah im a bit of a weirdo

overall a virtuous person I want to be as attractive and strong as I can be. I want to be a great daughter, financially independent, in a LTR and active in my hobbies by the time I'm 23. And start a family before I'm 30, this one seems so goddamn imposible rn but ill do my best.

I disagree, ugly women that end up changing their appearance enough exist and they know what its like to go from nonexistent to “every dude wants to pound me now” I guess being a really ugly young woman is kind of like being the average young beta male

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
