4	not seeing any increase in muscle mass. need some advice. I workout at the crossfit gym that's on my military base. I don't necessarily do "CrossFit" though and for good reason, because a lot of their workouts and programming are terrible. 3	not seeing any increase in muscle mass. need some advice. Burn more calories than you take in. That's how you lose fat. It is not a fast process either. I hate to say it but CrossFit workouts are honestly great for losing weight due to the intensity of the weightlifting+calisthenics+cardio. If you don't do anything that gets the blood flowing and the heart pounding and body sweating for an extended period of time than it's probably going to be difficult to lose any substantial amount of weight.
