You mean the men you are meeting on the dating apps, right?

If this is what you think of men from your own experience, I'm reminded of the classic quote: "If you run into a jerk in the morning, you met a jerk. But if you run into jerks all day long, you're the jerk."

Doubling down on reading comprehension issues. 🤣

Reading comprehension. I didn't take a stance on who should be shamed, just pointed out the obvious contradiction.

Appropriate-Chest-16 is debating, too. And then you got so mad at her advice to not participate that you....gave the same advice and told her to hush. 🤣

You care about people being shamed. Hence the normative stance on divorced/single people. You also say people shouldn't care about being shamed. Easy contradiction.

You started out by saying some people shouldn't be shamed. And then one comment later you say people shouldn't care about being shamed. That's incoherent.

No one is getting your point. There’s no way not to be picky when there’s a glut on the other side.

Is this satire? Because it's genius...the gender-swapped version of this would get TONS of upvotes: "Single Women have better mental health than married women nowadays" "That is simple and sounds obvious: Single women are immune to the worries and the stresses that comes with marriage, and obviously they don't need to worry about divorce nor cheating and the consequences of a divorce and they don't need to worry whether her husband still loves them or not... This reasoning also applies to men bu…

There's no consensus reaction from all of society. Sometimes it's ok or applauded, sometimes it's seen as classist, 'heightism', etc. Same as when men express our honest preferences around women; some parts of society give you shit for it, some don't. Yes, some woman are hypocritical. They're people, it happens.

This is a you problem. Not because you're lying, because I believe your perceptions are sincere. It's because you are emotionally triggered when women judge and are hypocritical, and have a weaker reaction when men are. This really is a case of 'both sides'. If you pay attention you'll see it in stereo.

Maybe you're getting shit for voicing it? That's the unsaid preference of the majority of women (and men) I know.

Great analogy. And then it inverts: men in relationships become sniper rifles when considering marriage and women are more like shotguns once there's a relationship. It all seems to even out in the end.

🤣🤣🤣 What are you even talking about? HIPAA applies to health providers and insurance companies. It doesn’t cover parents disclosing their kids’ information. At all.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/24 01:55 AM

Saying that women aren’t actually free to approach guys because it goes against gender stereotypes is the most 50’s cliche thing I’ve heard all day. 🤣 Clearly this is a problem you experience directly and I hope you get some help for it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 07:09 PM

What country do you live in where men are doing the work (or taught to do the work) to reach out to socially awkward women? At least growing up in California/US this was never a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 07:06 PM

💯 🤝
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 05:06 PM

Women who are curious about shy guys are free to interact with shy guys. Still not seeing why women should drive a “cultural shift” in OP’s language to fix a problem they’re not experiencing.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 04:23 PM

Why would women have any obligation to do any of this?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 03:47 PM

I don't think it is, except in the context OP laid out where it gets in the way of your desired dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/24 03:46 PM

This doesn't make sense because the people doing the work aren't the people who have the problem. Shy guys should work on their social skills because they are the ones with the problem. Women don't have a problem with the fact that some guys are socially inept; they're just undesirable. There are lots of socially awkward women too and it's never been my job to do something special for them. There are plenty of socially normal women.

American men are more satisfied with dating than women are, which would suggest that women are the ones sabotaging themselves. "Nearly 68% of males felt positively about dating, compared to around 55% of females." (August 2023) https://www.forbes.com/health/dating/dating-statistics/

You said "she isn't fertile anymore". Saying that is not offensive (at least to me, I'm a dude); that's just factually incorrect. (Also, 80% of babies with Down Syndrome are born to mothers under 35.)

You lost me when you said the 35-year old woman "isn't fertile anymore". 35-year old women are around 70% as fertile as a 20 year old woman -- which is, you know, pretty fertile. Maybe you're thinking about a 40-year old woman where it's more like 10-15% as fertile as a 20yo.

Does 13% = 30%? And are 1.) 20-year 2.) navy recruits a representative sample of all men?

That study was done with 73 students at one college in North Dakota (which has over 15,000 students, so holy selection bias, Batman!). It hasn’t been replicated.

Look who rediscovered filters. This has been around for years. People just discount what’s in pics a little and then a little more. People have also been posting pics of themselves when they were younger/thinner for more than a decade. AI won’t lead to anything groundbreaking there, just more of the same.
