How to let go of a desire for justice?the best revenge is moving on and finding happiness without her. closure isn't real and any attempts to make her see what she did would just result in her denying & invalidating your perspective. there is no way forward there. it's an awful and deeply frustrating thing, but once you are able to finally accept that, you will be free. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/09/25 09:56 AM
The real fight in divorce isn't about the money or the blame. It's the internal shit no one talks about.i joined this subreddit to try to better understand what my divorced boyfriend has gone through (we've been dating for ~1.5 years; his marriage to his ex was short and we're still young). a lot of posts have been filled with understandable anger and resentment, which -- while completely valid for the men expressing those thoughts -- hasn't quite hit the mark for me in terms of helping me understand him, because he doesn't really have those kinds of feelings. this post, though... this post has he… | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/09/25 06:24 AM
CMV: A woman who acts out her rape (or "ravishment" fantasy) can still legally charge the man with rape EVEN IF she consentedI just read a long article detailing his side of the events. The whole thing is terrible, and the social hell he went through will follow him forever. I am pained for him. I would like to note that he was never convicted of anything, so my point stands - but that does not mean that the girls' actions were anything close to forgivable. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/02/15 03:17 AM
CMV: A woman who acts out her rape (or "ravishment" fantasy) can still legally charge the man with rape EVEN IF she consented??? What is causing you to say it isn't? I legitimately do not understand where you are coming from. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 28/02/15 02:49 AM
CMV: A woman who acts out her rape (or "ravishment" fantasy) can still legally charge the man with rape EVEN IF she consentedThe defense will smell of BS if the rape-accusing party denies that the two were ever roleplaying at all, yes. Things that would help back up the defense: if the two are a couple, if either/both has a history of enjoying that fantasy safely with other partners, if there is ANY evidence that a safe word was established (text, email, message, etc.), if the woman does admit that they were roleplaying, etc. If the woman denies they were roleplaying, the situation gets tricker, but there is something… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/02/15 11:07 PM
CMV: A woman who acts out her rape (or "ravishment" fantasy) can still legally charge the man with rape EVEN IF she consentedI never saw your last CMV so I am not coming into this with any preconceived notions. I absolutely believe that the safe word argument is a credible defense. I have no idea why it wouldn't be. If the sex was consensual and the safe word was mutually agreed upon and understood (especially if it was in writing somewhere, even just in a text message), then I 100% believe it is a credible defense. In that type of roleplay, it is understood that one party will be acting like they are refusing. That's… | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/02/15 10:59 PM
CMV: A woman who acts out her rape (or "ravishment" fantasy) can still legally charge the man with rape EVEN IF she consentedIn that scenario there is often a "safe word" that is regarded as the pre-discussed, mutually understood way to stop the act. If one party says the "safe word" and the other party does not stop, that's where it crosses the line into legal rape territory (imo). | /r/PurplePillDebate | 27/02/15 08:14 PM
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.So, the timeline is: YOU get offended quickly by what I said, Then bitched about it. Then, I defend myself, You pick a fight with me because YOU don't like what I said, Then accuse me of the thing YOU'RE doing? Hahahahahahaha | /r/MensRights | 26/10/11 10:53 PM
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.Ahahahahaha, oh lord, you are funny. :] | /r/MensRights | 26/10/11 08:19 PM
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.You said "girls like this." As in, girls like the one she posted about. She posted about me. Girls like me. Very, very obvious. I don't think anyone else here would agree with you on this one, no matter how much they're hating on me right now. | /r/MensRights | 26/10/11 06:38 PM
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.Thank you, Aturaten. For several long minutes, I studied and thought about what you wrote there, about seeking out guys (I'm just going to avoid the words "boys" and "men" for the sake of political correctness) who would appreciate me... and I think you're right. I've never had any luck with guys who have it all together. I feel like... fuck, I didn't think I'd tear up like this... I just feel like I can't get them. I feel like I don't attract those kinds of guys. I feel like I attract psycholog… | /r/MensRights | 26/10/11 04:53 AM
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you. For the love of all things good and holy, thank you. Even if you're the only person who sees my side of the situation... it was enough. | /r/MensRights | 26/10/11 01:12 AM
| -2 | Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.No, it IS what I said. It was purposefully brief, as I didn't think I needed to go into the explicit details of their personalities that I later did anyway. Though I do thank you for the first sensible point in this whole issue (the second paragraph, not the first or third). Although I would like to note once again that my sentence that initially instigated this whole argument was an offhanded comment at the end of a post which had nothing to do with this Men Vs Boys debate, meant as more of a j… | /r/MensRights | 26/10/11 01:06 AM |
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.Work, school, mutual friends, etc... I don't know what else to do besides join a dating website, and I don't know what kind of stigma is really associated with those. It just all feels so hopeless sometimes... even when someone does show interest, I'm so guarded (not purposefully, just instinctively, habitually) that I have tremendous difficulty doing... anything.... I don't know what the hell's wrong with me. | /r/MensRights | 26/10/11 12:58 AM
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.I think girls like this need to get the fuck off the earth or be lesbian and then, Well, I wasn't talking shit about YOU ...??? | /r/MensRights | 26/10/11 12:53 AM
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.Okay, for the love of God, I apologize for the caps lock but I've said this in every post for the last dozen or so replies.... I NEVER SAID THAT STATEMENT APPLIED TO THE ENTIRE MALE GENDER. I very, VERY specifically said, over and over, that I'm ONLY referring to the guys I'm talking about, and that their circumstances, which included the inability to hold down a job due to nothing more than a complete refusal to go to work and throwing screaming temper tantrums at the smallest arguments, are th… | /r/MensRights | 25/10/11 11:10 PM
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.If you'd read further into the thread tree, you'd see that it wasn't really the job description itself so much as the attitude toward the job, or in one case, lack thereof. To sum it up for you, one refuses to even look and sponges off his mother, and the other can't hold down a job because he won't go to it. It wasn't the degree itself that was the issue; it was the ability and capacity to attend school and the pure laziness that resulted in failing and dropping out. Like I said, I was not gene… | /r/MensRights | 25/10/11 11:04 PM
| -1 | Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.I don't want you or anyone else to assume, as you have, that I am the kind of person who honestly believes that as a generalized statement. Since none of you cared to continue to read on, I've deleted the initial comment. The rest of the thread tree still remains, so if you'd like to judge me on that, go ahead. I've been through hell and back with the first two I mentioned, and for you to tell me I have no right to assess their maturity levels astounds me. I'm not a man-hater or a feme-nazi; I'm… | /r/MensRights | 25/10/11 09:56 PM |
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.Really? How much of that thread did you read? All of it? Even the part where I talked about the specific things these people did that warranted that title? Even the part where I specifically noted that I was in no way generalizing that statement to all men who fall under that category? | /r/MensRights | 25/10/11 09:51 PM
| -4 | Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.And before you say anything, I'm aware that having this kind of track record is largely my own fault. Hence, "I don't understand women, either." Additionally: I was saying those specific guys are boys, not generalizing it to any guy who has a fast-food job, lives at home, and has no degree. Holy fucking shit. Go ahead, reply here; I'm reading. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/11 09:28 PM |
Apparently having a fast-food job, no degree and living at home in your early 20's makes you a boy.Seriously, you didn't read any of my further posts? I'll take the last paragraph from the last post to summarize: My point is: I was never trying to make some huge slap against men in general. I was just saying that I have a tendency to be attracted to immature, irresponsible, illogical guys, and asked if anyone else had experienced the same. It was not supposed to be a demeaning, generalizing statement. I think this got way out of hand. Fixed the original post. I was saying those specific guys … | /r/MensRights | 25/10/11 09:25 PM
