15	Does anyone find it a bit inconsiderate when people say this? There are a fair few statistics out there, like for example statistics that men make up the majority of people who experience violent crime and that the majority of homicide victims are male. Women are over represented in cases of violence where the perpetrator is known to her. In cases of stranger violence, men are overrepresented. That means that investment into it is not guaranteed results or a positive return. And what do most investors want? Exactly that. We know how and why men go bald, for the most part. My cousins friend, who is a 6’5”, burly footballer, was alone one night in the city and got jumped by a group of people. He had his jaw broken, other injuries to his head and arms and was left with a healthy dose of trauma to boot. So if he’s not safe, why would I as someone shorter and skinnier feel safe? Where I work, the skew is like 75% women and 25% men. Our CEO is a woman. You can’t just cherry pick diseases or conditions like this and make meaningful comparisons. Endometriosis is definitely under funded, but it’s also far more complicated and less understood than male pattern baldness. Pharmaceutical companies like things that can make them easy money.
