..... The trick is to befriend women just for the sake of befriending them. I've never dated a guy that wasn't my friend first. Guys that go around just asking women out are... Off-putting, to put it nicely. Also, with the friendship thing, if you try a lot harder than she does, she'll smell your desperation, and if she's respectable, she'll leave you the hell alone. And then you won't have to cry about "how much harder" you tried.

Even if you find a complaint to be "frivolous," you should at least care about how your partner feels. It warrants a talk. It could turn out that the two of you are just too different, but the only way to find that out would be to have a serious talk. The complaints aren't exactly frivolous if they end up being why she leaves you lol.
