Sweet man I appreciate it. I looked into it and it seemed like a cluster to even apply to/look into. Gonna try and talk to my parents and mental health team and see what they think.

Let me know how getting disability goes. Read online it’s hard asf. Glad your parent made you feel welcomed and cared for.

That’s a great question because both are affecting me to a degree, but I would say more health related

Be able to eat more than one meal, be able to take care of myself hygiene wise, clean up a little, make some time for myself to play on my computer

Just finding a few things to do throughout the day to keep some structure/schedule. Maybe try getting out of the house and going to do something.

I’m doing terribly. I feel like I’m stepping on eggshells every time I talk to someone about my feelings. Sucks not having support or you have it and people tell you to call the crisis hotline or suicide hotline. The people just tell you to do something to distract yourself and wait for your next appointment. Well you’re in luck because my depression is so bad I enjoy nothing!

Definitely, because being opening with your feelings is exhausting and I usually feel down for a bit after, but just know that everyone here is here to support you and be nonjudgmental! That’s why I love it here :) and you never know if you could help someone with a similar issue or get some helpful feedback!

Yea it’s awful. You feel like a dark cloud is over your head until it’s done because there’s so much uncertainty on what’s going to happen to you.

Just had plea and sentencing today after roughly a year and a half. Just have to be a good boy for 2 and a half years now.

Stressed out. Have my last court date in roughly a half hour and then I have some neuropsych testing Monday. Hoping for the best with both. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Update: court went good 😊 still a little stressed about it

I think this community has a pretty decent following so far at over 2200 people. There may be ideas amongst some people in the community on how to grow or not. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to ask!

Fuck society. I will push forward and fight for mens mental health even if it’s the last thing I do.

I think these are perfectly valid feelings and that you aren’t crazy to think this way. The old way of thinking of how men should be masculine and be tough and mad, etc. is greatly outdated. What’s sad is that men and women alike hold us back from expressing feelings. In my experience with going through more intense mental health treatment such as IOP, PHP, Residential, and Inpatient at least 75% of my fellow patients were females which is honestly disheartening. The lack of understanding and su…

I just don’t know what to do until then :( also what’s the karma requirement for here? I’m usually just a lurker.

Yea I see a therapist and psychiatrist to no avail so far. Don’t know if you’ve ever heard of emdr treatment but that’s the next step. Unfortunately I’m still 2 months out :(

I feel like shit. I’ve been having horrifying PTSD nightmares and really do not want to be here another year. I have no support system outside of Reddit because I constantly get dumped on or attacked when I try to be open and honest. Feel worthless and hopeless because I don’t leave my bed most days. I just want the emotional pain to end. God bless.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
