Wow, that's really interesting. I've never thought a guy could feel that way (you probably hear that a lot). Do you know why you think the way that you do?

I agree. I think what gives some thin people the sickly look is when they don't have enough fat and muscle for their frame. If you have a smaller frame, you can still look healthy at a lower weight. I think most men do find women in that range very attractive assuming some decent sort of fitness level or good bone structure. I also agree. Everyone looks better when they are physically fit. And by good bone structure do you mean her waist to hip ratio?

What does athletic mean to you?

When the woman is skinny and completely straight and flat is where it gets neutral/a bit unattractive. Of course. maybe she's more attractive facewise See, if she were pretty I would not have posed this question in the first place because I would assume she is attractive because of her face. But she's not really. This has lead me to believe that a woman's body is so much more important than her face and that a thicker body is more attractive. have a fat distribution that's still attractive and h…

There definitely are women who want what you want. I'm still a virgin myself, and my ideal would be to only be with one man for the rest of my life. I accept that this is unlikely though, as most relationships do end. I'll still try, though. This is not for religious reasons, it just appeals to me a lot. But I don't think this is a common desire, so you're unlikely to find women who are looking for that. I say this confidently as someone who is 22 and mostly friends with women in their early 20s…

Thank you. The narrative that media is pushing thin women is outdated. It was true in the 90's, but now most Hollywood beauties have some curves. There are definitely curvier actresses now. But most are still quite thin, especially if you see them in person. But I meant to say that Hollywood & the fashion industry is where the skinny ideal is originally pushed from and kept alive.

Okay, thank you. I have concluded that I’m just plain ol’ unapproachable. Which makes sense because the few times I have been asked out, I was feeling really happy and smiley, I guess. But the thing I don’t understand is that if guys find me unapproachable, why don’t people in general? People love to ask me for help or directions or something. It doesn’t matter if they’re a child, or the elderly, a man, or woman, native to the area, or a tourist who hardly speaks English. Not just that, but stra…

Oh it's not a super drastic change then. If that's what you want, by all means

There are also men who genuinely do prefer bigger women, though. Why do RP men act like this isn't true?

Why? Especially now that being curvier is more celebrated? And what was your starting BMI if you don't mind me asking? No offense, but it sounds like a total waste of energy to me.

Men rarely approach what they find the "most attractive", they generally go for women who they think will say yes. Interesting. But I find it hard to believe that less than 0.01% of guys think I'm going to say yes, you know? It's more likely they don't want my yes lol. Let's be real. Staring is easy but you have to feel it's worth your while to actually go talk to someone. Overweight women generally say yes more often because they know they're lower on the food chain. Maybe. But I think she ma…

In the eyes of many (maybe most), she is anorexic.

Easier to sleep with or easier to get along with? And that cannot be the only difference, right? It makes sense that women with larger breasts and butts are approached more because they are simply more attractive to men.

Are there men who *genuinely* find thin women sexually attractive? And I mean thin/skinny not slim. Like similar to 15-20% girl in this. This is a conversation I've had with a friend recently. She says that men are viscerally attracted to bigger women (because they have bigger feminine assets of course) but thin women are a status symbol thanks to Hollywood & the fashion industry. I think this makes a lot of sense as I believe the media people consume can potentially influence their preferences …
