Ah I used to be a bit of a shit man. Poly relationship, obsessed with being adored by women. Had a long-term relationship with a good woman but couldn't see past my big head. I did a lot of growing up in the period of time between that relationship and my next, and grew into myself fully in the next one, my current one. You are right in some ways. I value my alone time and love building our assets, but certainly I want only my woman. She is the light of my life and we are stronger together. We h…

If you can't show and share vulnerability with your woman, then I feel sorry for you, my friend.

To be honest it is a fantasy either way. Relationships always have a transactional element to them. Like at the very least there are basic expectations of respect and safety etc. I love my partner to the moon and back, but if they started abusing me and didn't stop, I would leave them because abuse wasn't part of the deal. If I really wanted biological kids and my partner had fertility issues, that would probably be a hard and difficult decision but it's one or the other. If they got sick, and t…

He can't object to something he doesn't know. He doesn't know that you are using it to actively track him in his day-to-day. Take this opportunity to recognise that part of your journey is to overcome these issues that you have identified in your relationship with yourself. You have low self-esteem and trust issues. That doesn't make you a bad person, but they are barriers that will negatively impact your ability to have good, solid relationships and a healthy perspective on the world. I think t…

Look I'm partnered and haven't chatted astrology in a long, long time - but basically having a somewhat coherent idea of star sign stereotypes (Capricorn is a goat, said to be ambitious and driven, matches well with Gemini, the twin, said to be empathetic and fantastic at acting) can go a long way. Here's the thing, I just made that up based off of my interpretation of a goat and a twin representation. It's loosely correct, and so is everything in astrology. If you spend an hour or so just readi…

You don't break up on holiday unless they're a danger to you and you have no other choice. Just enjoy your trip, relax, think about what it is that you have and what it is that you're missing with your SO and make some notes so that you can discuss with them. Maybe breaking up is the best move, but ending a 5 year relationship most of the time at least warrants a few good conversations. My partner and I have a guideline in place that says these feelings get discussed asap, and they must persist …

That inner voice is really, really important No matter what you do about all of this, changing the way you speak to yourself and feel about yourself is the first thing Don't disregard how important it is. Can you imagine you're talking to a girl you like, and there is somebody whispering in your ear "you're a creep, man. No one even likes you because you're retarded. Why would she waste her time with you?" That would be very off-putting, right? You need your inner voice to be loving on yourself.…

Yes it does 😊 I guess it's just preference for monogamy, and that's a beautiful thing. Do you think that love can be deeper if it's exclusive? I've always wondered

I guess it depends how free and open you are with connection and relationships. There's not much you can do if you get jealous easily but a lot of people are pretty chill. I don't expect it of my partner and she doesn't expect it of me that we will never meet somebody else that we like a lot; and man, love is too uncommon not to hold on to and try to make something good of when it comes around. You feel me?

That's okay!! Look man I know it's unsolicited advice but your relationship with yourself will dictate the frequency and quality of your relationship with others There's gotta be a bunch of stuff you love about yourself and as you develop that love, it breeds confidence and stability and in no time you'll be a magnet for friends and girlfriends They always say "hit the gym, get good at your hobbies", because that is essentially self love and development and it works

Meditation and reading will do you wonders on developing yourself out of social anxiety When you read, you learn interesting things and sharing interesting things is a fundamental of socialising The meditation introduces your mind to a baseline calm awareness and puts you in the right headspace to navigate the world. It will be uncomfortable at first, but 2 minutes intentionally breathing with your eyes closed thinking about nothing else is the perfect way to start Try to read some content on a …

Eh, doesn't it start to feel incredibly fake? Like, honestly if you pretend so much you're just lying to everybody; and lying disconnects you with reality. That's not a very grounded place for reaching your full potential

Absolutely. Not to mention the extent to which life gets easier when you have a bunch of power and stamina behind you. I can't believe the things that I can do now after just a couple years of casual lifting. With a routine, my progress could have been made in 6 months, but I'm chill and happy. Lifting heavy stuff in good form should be part of every balanced diet. What counts as "heavy" to one person is not the same as "heavy" to another. My aunty power lifts 10kg because she's old and I can te…

Well that's what you want, right? Tell her you listened to the song, translated the lyrics, had a think about them, and really want to know what is on her mind when she sent you it.

The concept of looking at women like they're gazelles whilst you're a lion is pretty messed up bro no lie If you ever have a baby girl or a niece that you care for you'll understand; and in terms of building a solid connection with a partner at the very least you will want to view them as a lioness. More than likely though just another human with their own particular set of hopes, skills, plans, traits, and quirks; whom you care deeply for

For sure, it wasn't my intention to imply that a relationship with less sex is worse. Of course it relies on what suits the people involved. I edited my comment for clarity. Thank you for pointing it out

A good relationship can easily include sex 3-7+ times a week depending on your lifestyle and living arrangement. ONS can be great for variety and learning things from others, but I think that it may be easier to learn new things in a relationship by research and trying what you learn with someone who you can trust is going to tell you it's either awesome, shit, or needs adjustment a little bit to the left and down, and then is going to be there to try again, you feel me?

Gender /ˈdʒɛndə/ noun either of the two sexes (male and female), especially when considered with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones. The term is also used more broadly to denote a range of identities that do not correspond to established ideas of male and female. Why you wanna identify people by their dicks and pussies? You ever made a good friend before? You know people are more than their physical selves? Is good to recognize them as such

Hard second guitar. Go electric, especially if you live with other people. You can play without an amplifier when you can't be too loud. You can also get a cheap electric guitar for ~$50. Better yet, you can get a cheap little input for your computer and with a free audio program like reaper, you can record your own music! You can get a free plugin for just about any instrument you can think of, too. Fantastic, fulfilling way to spend your time. I love making songs not just for myself, but for m…

What if their name is "James" but they want to be called "Superman from Krypton" ? Should you entertain them ? I mean, sure, i guess. I can't say that i believe that that's an incredibly common scenario - but if James wants to be called Superman from Krypton, who am i to be a cunt? What if they don't want to be called "he" or "she" but "zhe" or "xhe" or some other made up pronoun ? What is language but something thay we made up to convey meaning? If they bitch about it you can just avoid associa…

I mean, a pronoun is a word that you use in place of a noun, like a name, right? Gendered pronouns highlight genders; and gender, being "social and cultural" traits that you exhibit, aren't the same as quantifiable measurements like height. I wouldn't really consider height to be a current, socially explosive issue with real (sometimes life or death) impacts like gender, either. There aren't big social distinctions between talls and shorts. You know the easiest way to deal with the (how many?) t…

Eh, you ask people how they'd like to be called. You dont ask someone's name, they tell you "I'm James", and you say "thanks, Richard." It's just manners to call people what they'd prefer to be called.

Heh heh, i see the point you're trying to make but i think you should aim that at centrists because my mop'n'bucket and all of my comrade's tradie tools beg to differ. Trade unions are usually leftist, but like actually leftist... like working class liberation leftist.

A lot of dudes see the person they're interested in as some kind of Big Other and it really messes with their ability to talk to them like peers. Are you afraid of talking to the girl for any particular reason? I always try to remember that they're humans just like me and tbh they're not much different. We all just wanna be engaged with the world around us and feel good about it all and once you see them as your peers it's easy to feel confident enough to talk to them. Ps: a good place to start …

Introspection c: Investigate yourself. Know who you are. If you don't like yourself - what don't you like about yourself? What DO you like about yourself? List some things - be honest with yourself. Now you have a bunch of things to keep up and a bunch of things to throw out. Keep improving and pat yourself on the back every now and then when you feel like you have done well. Know thyself, love thyself!

I think it's fair that you're coming here for help - but i also think that it's most important to process your personal feelings first in situations like this. How does it make you feel for guys to talk to your partner? To joke? To flirt? To touch? How does it feel for you if she has a positive interaction with someone whom you may consider "competition"? What if the interaction made her happy, or contributed meaningfully towards something she cares about and she is grateful? When we analyse the…

Does anyone else get kinda turned off when people like Valdez just reduce the intricacy and complexity of an entire human bean into a shitty blanket cliché? It's so strange to me. I know a number of girls and none but one of them fall into this "only attracted to the alpha, low cognitive endurance, responds best to low effort pickup lines" trope that a lot of "pick up artists" try to push. How do you develop a meaningful and wholesome relationship with someone you are trying to manipulate from t…

Awesome! Man just follow what you're passionate about and the fantastic bonus is that you will meet girls and guys along the way that you will vibe well with due to mutual interest in what you're doing. Some will flutter by and you'll never see them again. Some will become great friends. Some will become great lovers :) I don't really recommend having sex with some random tinder date simply to lose your virginity. It will probably be bad and gross. I'm not knocking one-night-stands but they aren…

Homie c: girls will come to you if you have passion for the things you do. If you create a passionate and fun vibe around you, people naturally want to be a part of it. good, wholesome sex sort of comes along with that. The fact that you are disciplined enough to go to gym AND actually like it is a good sign. What sort of things do you do for fun?
