The difference here is that modafinil is a drug you take in, while a photocopier is a machine you use. One affects your body and perspective directly. But then in support of your point, there are machine which do affect us directly as well, like video consoles and tvs. To each their own then. Taking modafinil is like taking steroids, if you're okay with that then do as you wish

Agreed. What I fear is this subreddit turning into a drug dependent self improvement mess of a group. You do not need modafinil to master monk mode, it's only a cheap way out.

Steroids increase your mass gain by 4 times. Say (ideally) it takes 2 years of highly effective, highly focused training have a fully developed 'natty' body. With steroid it will take half an year. Modafinil to work is like steroids to lifting, and we should treat Modafinil like so. It is a drug with benefits and consequences. I fear that people will misinterpret this by thinking 'ahh I haven't been performing well lately, must be because I haven't had modafinil!' and taking it, feeling good for a while, without even checking if they're deficit in other aspects, like dehydration or poor nutrition.

basically says that you should not waste your time with somebody unless you are “fuck yes” about them, and more importantly, they are “fuck yes” about you. for the girl: move on, focus on yourself, do your own thing and meet other girls for the feelings: lift, do your own thing, avoid easy dopamine hits (videogames, junk food,...) In my own experience, given enough time you'll always meet another girl that catches your interest and makes you completely forget about the previous girl and wonder why you even felt like that in the first place
