Thank you for replying! I definitely agree with your assessment of a relationship being a friendship, and I feel we do have a pretty strong friendship, as well as passionate connection. The reason I want to make changes is because I find myself being controlling and insecure. It's a turnoff to my husband and doesn't allow him to lead more. I have also seen him spending more time away from home and not wanting to be around me because of my attitude. That is not the type of woman or wife I want to…

I'm in as well! This accountability will help me on my path to surrendering.

I know you are right, I just have this overwhelming urge to try to FIX it. The only way I have found to keep my mouth shut is to stay to myself, but I don't want to appear standoffish. I am very new to this.

Wow. Your mom sounds like an amazing woman. New to RPW and definitely taking notes on this post.

Thank you so much for your advice!! I like the idea of asking him what he needs me to do as opposed to just jumping in with all my unsolicited advice and help. I have already found myself putting out feelers and looking into different jobs for him, but I know I just really need to calm down, give him time, and trust that he will figure this out. The struggle to relinquish control is oh so real!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
