Like, for example. Food stamps: they have been shown to 2x the gdp per dollar that’s put in. 7 dollars are netted for every one dollar spend on college . Not to be a negative nancey here...but.....Would this be explained by the fact that on average men have more resources? Women stand to gain alot from the husband dying via collecting assets she didnt already have. However, if a women has a significantly less amount of recourse than her husband, the "benefit" to sticking around could be lower than the benefit of going to another spouse to continue to make you happy.
