My mother faced terrible physical abuse to a man, in a time in America where the victim had to file charges. The abuse carried on for years because she was terrified to report it. Broken jaw, broken nose, broken orbital bone, staples to her stomach. As a child she left me with 1 simple message, despite the years of previous violence. "Never, ever hit a lady. A lady will never hit you first." The message came at a time I was being bullied by girls who would kick me in the nuts on the school bus. …

Back then the charges weren't filed by the state, they were filed by the victim. If the victim refused to press charges there was nothing the police could do.

Was typing on a tablet. Gotta love that autocorrect. But I'm not going to correct it, fuck it.

I'm a grown man with a teenage daughter of my own. As a child my mother was physically, emotionally and verbally abused by her 2nd husband. And it was baaaad. Domestic abuse laws were different back then. In elementary school I used to get bullied by a girl. She would slap me in the head and kick me in the nuts nearly every day. I never retaliated because of how I would see my mom get beat. It just wasn't right. One day I come home and I'm crying so hard I can hardly breathe. I finally tell her …

This covers both bases, it allows other individuals who have been victimized an opportunity to come forward but also prevents the suspected perpetrator from being found guilty in the court of public opinion. Once an individual is of…

I've seen a lot of opinions and suggestions but I want to include mine as well. The first thing I would do is tell him that you, him and his girlfriend need to sit down and have a talk first thing when he gets back. Preferably in a public location, like over lunch or dinner. This is when I would tell him that his girlfriend has decided to stop taking birth control in an attempt to have a child. The thing to remember is that she has every right, under law, to do what she wants with her body. This…

Why is there hatred towards true MRA's and why are they "cowards"? When it comes to law enforcement, particularly sentencing, there are multiple reports that show male perpetrators are consistently handed more severe sentences than females. This is not equality, in fact it is the definition of inequality. What most people who advocate for men's rights want is equality, regardless of sex, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or class. I just get tired of seeing this blind association of MRA's to me…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
