This was my first ever cold approach during the day, i was probably 15 years.. Was about to catch my bus home when i see a girl walking the opposite direction alone, decide that its time to man the fuck up. So i run up to her from behind, ask her if she likes carrots (i read somewhere asking these kind of weird questions will make me appear mysterious and funny), she responds "no why" i choke the fuck up and just say "you look like one" then i walked away.. looking back i still get a good laugh …

I would definitely try to avoid it as much as possible. You have probably heard it a million times, but meditation might help you in this case. Just try to view it as: "This girl is pretty cool and i would be pleased to be with her, but i don't need her". I have been in this exact same situation wondering what the hell i should do. It seems that agree & amplify doesn't do it in this situation, because it only adds to her perhaps distorted image of you being a massive player. Any veterans in here with some advice?
