Whoever searched men think in boxes was probably looking for one of the talks about it. I have never seen it displayed as a bad thing. In ted talks it is just explained as women’s minds are messes where everything is connected and men have things organized in boxes and keep things like home and work separate.

If the dad gets custody then they (the mom’s) are supposed to pay child support. Neither parent pays if the kid is put up for adoption.

I see this come up a lot but it isn’t that we are taking worse care of guys at work it is that most mechanics, construction workers, installers, maintenance workers, etc. are men. If a man and woman work the same job, the men aren’t more likely to die.

As a person who’s dad never paid child support, I have never seen him face any repercussions from it. They put warrants out for his arrest but I am pretty positive that happens if a mom fails to pay child support too. I don’t think it’s a gender thing.

I’m in america Men make up the majority of the homeless population and there are less recourses for them in times of crisis. Most hate crimes based on sexual orientation are against gay men. I am also a woman and I sexually assaulted someone when I was 15 and when I was 16. It was not out of malice. I was always taught that guys want it. Looking back, it is clear in both situations that what I was doing was fucked up, but I didn’t get it at the time. Everything portrays women as victims and men as the rapists. I wish I could undo both acts. I would never sexually assault someone now but I think if I had seen more things directed at women, I might not have done it then either.

We don’t do anything to teach women and girls that this is not okay. Anything against sexual assault has men as the bad guys. You only see women as victims. Women are taught that all men want sex. I was like this lady in high school. I honestly didn’t understand that it was wrong. Luckily I am not like that anymore but it definitely would have been helpful for someone to point out that it was sexual assault.

It’s more based off the idea that the kid needs the mother and would be better off staying with the mother even when things are at stake. They also are much more reluctant to take them into custody because they think being with mom is psychologically better for the kid. I don’t get it at this age though.
