I don't think those papers quite support your statement. They state that sex is a commodity and that men are more eager for sex than women (or are less selective than women); not that women tend to hate porn, prostitution, easy women etc. because it jeopardizes their "business" and they lose control over men. edit: in fact, one paper contradicts you: "They asked two questions: First, do men and women differ in how easily they become aroused by sexually explicit films? The answer to this first qu…

If you can prove it, I will not argue with you anymore. But you're gonna need some nice, solid evidence.

Sorry, that came off as unnecessarily rude. What I mean to say is, seduction is not a science. That's not to say it's not a field of study, or something with general rules that often give you the results you expect. But it's not science. We don't have hard, scientific evidence for why this works. People will come up with a variety of reasons, none of which can be proven.

Yeah see this is the kind of thing that gets Seddit in trouble.

I think the word seduction carries weight with it. Not because of the definition found in a dictionary, but because of its history and the connotations behind it. Now, I'm not a word expert, but the impression the word gives me and lots of others I have read/heard from feel it means to try and "trick" the other person, or to see the whole thing as a game (including the person they are trying to seduce). Few people enjoy being treated as objects, and the word kind of suggests that it is exactly h…

A science? Man, don't go around using that word for things it's not fit to be used for.

This doesn't make seddit look any better. If you want to promote understanding and open a dialog between other communities, this isn't the way to do it. If people want to further segregate themselves from the rest of Reddit by continuing this kind of behavior, I'm afraid I can't help you out.

That's good! I was going to make a point that guys also like to be approached and if you want to talk to someone you shouldn't wait until they come to you. But I don't have to! I certainly hope many women have the same mindset as you.

The same thing has happened to me. Almost every girl that I went after who subsequently ignored me is a terrible person I'd never want to be with anyway. I definitely don't regret the outcome.

The reason I am in this subreddit is because I wanted to form my own opinion of it for myself. It's a polarizing place, to be sure.

She sounds like a shitty person you don't want anything to do with.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
