I just want to point out that loads of male criminals have fallen through the cracks in the justice system many times...and then finally do something really horrible. Like the guy who killed the 4 cops in the cafe in WA - he'd been in and out of jail forever.

Why do you want this to be true so badly that you're literally refusing to acknowledge what the report actually says? How is what you're doing now different than a flat-earther saying pictures of the earth from space are clearly faked?

Yup, and since only 79% of the 4.8% of men who reported being "forced to penetrate" said their perp was a woman...the notion that "women rape men as much as men rape women" doesn't hold water if we're using this report's data, since (and i posted the raw numbers above) 12% of women were "forcefully penetrated" completely. So we're looking at less than 4.8% of men saying they were "forced to penetrate" a woman.

Oh good, you found the relevant section - can you post the quote from the report and also what page number it was on?

I just think its a disservice to male victims to push innaccurate information, male victims dn't have to make up as many of the cases as female victims to be considered worthy of support. Its like trying to argue that poor people in San Diego are as badly off as poor people in Dehli simply to make a case for helping poor people in San Diego sound "better" - who cares if they're not as poorly off, it doesn't diminish their need for help.

Not as far as I can tell - the "forced to penetrate" statistic in the report also includes things like "forced to put tongue in/on other person" etc. Read the report, it's linked in the thread.

If you know anything about any sort of science you'd know that longer amounts of time show trends better than shorter amounts of time. So, for instance, if you were a climate scientist and you wanted to test whether global warming was happening or not you wouldn't use only the data from the last year - you'd use all available data. Similarly, the person I was responding to still misrepresented the data even if we were talking about just the last 12 months because the gender of the perpetrator in…

The numbers are still equal, but the raw number of men is a percentage of a larger set. No, no they're not - and you're really, really bad at reading and becoming tiresome. Since you're terrible at reading charts here's the raw numbers for you: 5,451,000 males were forced to penetrate (table 2.2, no gender of perpetrator listed) 14,617,000 females were forcibly penetrated without use of drugs or alcohol (table 2.1) 9,542,000 more females were forcibly penetrated with use of drugs or alcohol (tab…

My first "argument" is simply quotes from the report linked. 12.3% of women suffer "complete" forced penetration. 4.8% of men suffer forced envelopment. Its right there, in the report. I'm not trying to "define crimes against men as less crimes" - how the fuck did you get that out of what I'm saying? I'm simply showing that the jpg that was linked from this report was used or represented wrongly. Are you interested in truth, or are you interested in meaningless falsehoods that bolster your ideol…

The same number of men are listed as forced to penetrate as women are forcibly penetrated, as shown. No, no - 22.2% of US men experience sexual violence, which is what forced envelopment is listed under so, of that 22.2% you have a far smaller % that represents forced envelopment by a woman which is at 4.2% of that 22.2% Approximately 1 in 21 men (4.8%) reported having been made to penetrate someone else in his lifetime (Table 2.2) Meanwhile 12.3% of all women experience full, or completed, forc…

I don't think you know how to read a report - the report does not say that as many men experience forced envelopement by a women as women experience forced penetration by a male. The report does say that women still encounter more sexual violence, and that the majority of perpetrators for both male and female victims...are males. From the linked report: Nearly 1 in 5 women in the United States has been raped in her lifetime (18.3%) (Table 2.1). This translates to almost 22 million women in the U…

Can you post a link to the study you have the jpg from? Editing here so more people will see it. AnthonyZarat you completly misrepresented the study you pulled that jpg from. From the report: Approximately 1 in 21 men (4.8%) reported having been made to penetrate someone else in his lifetime (Table 2.2) and The most common form of rape victimization experienced by women was completed forced penetration, experienced by 12.3% of women in the United States. So, here's clear evidence that no - women…
