Well this mirrors my experience exactly. My energy levels have shot up since my gf and I started sleeping in separate beds, but she still needs her midday nap to feel human. Incidentally, testosterone levels have been shown to positively correlate with quality sleep in men.[1] [1] http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2453053/ Edit: added reference

Valid point. This only works, however, if the person in question already is quite close to an alpha mindset - I think, when you're very beta, it's better to focus on your self-esteem and improve yourself move closer to a natural alpha state. Sort of like if you're a bit unhappy and smile, it could make you feel better. But if you have major depression, it'll do diddly-squat.

Frankly, if you were a true alpha, you wouldn't even have bothered asking what to do here. Alphas have their own standards and don't need other people to tell them what those standards are. Being alpha is a state of mind, and it's not like happiness - you can't reach it by faking it. While you say you're not bothered by her cheating, it does sound like you're worrying that she's settled for you. You feel like you have to compete with previous men you can't possibly beat. Frankly, this instinct i…

Aye, thanks for the acknowledgement. Too many people vote others down just for disagreeing with their opinions, so it's nice you acknowledge my right to be heard! I wouldn't consider myself to be in a bitter stage either - I never really had one to be honest. But then, I became red-pill by reading Athol Kay's blog, which is pretty optimistic for the most part. I wonder if I would have had a bitter stage if I'd became red-pill after reading "Hypergamy Doesn't Care"...

I disagree. A much better way of getting people to accept the truth is by helping them find a way to live with it, rather than shoving all of the negative aspects in their faces. This sort of article is far more likely to make existing red-pillers bitter rather than help blue-pillers find the truth. I actually find the red pill quite liberating when I figured out how to use it to improve my life, but this sort of article has no optimism in it - just "women suck" (or more precisely "women's insti…

Urgh, downvoted. This article is light on content and just aimed to provoke an emotional response from the readers. A woman could easy write a near-identical article called "Polygamy Doesn't Care" and then feminists would be raging about how heartless all men are. I'm all for intellectual discussions on the social/economic/personal repercussions of female hypergamy, which this is not. Frankly many red-pillers nowadays seem to have an excess of rage towards women as it is (especially considering …

While I can see your point, I think the most telling part of that is the title of the reaction post: "TRPer leads poor girl on". You say you were perfectly honest with her, but they have twisted the situation to make you appear to be a liar (leading her on) which, in their minds, allows her to maintain her agency. Once again, they focus on the PUA being a sociopath rather than the girl having no self-determination. It's all about framing the argument.

No, I understand. I simply don't think that feminists are implying that women lack agency when they say that men trick them - rather, I think they frame it so that PUAs sound like sociopaths and perfect liars so that women make their decision (as an agent) based on incomplete information. It is possible to be tricked into something and maintain your agency.

Aye, that's exactly my point. I simply think the concept of taking responsibility is a better frame than "agency/objectification" for what you're trying to say.

While I agree with the red pill in general, I think you're a bit off base. Let me make sure I'm clear on what you're saying: if someone is tricked into making a wrong decision, it means that they lack agency? That seems to me a poor definition of agency. An agent with inaccurate information is still an agent. I think, rather than an agency/objectification issue, this is more of a responsibility/maturity issue. Some feminists try to absolve women of all responsibility for their sexual conduct, pl…

In general watching more comedies/comedians might help a little bit, (the comedy writing secrets book may or may not help, depending on how autistic you are) but a genuine sense of humour only comes from practice in actual interactions. That means, you need to interact with as many different people as possible as much as possible. You need to move outside the social groups you are comfortable in, otherwise your humour will consist entirely of in-jokes you can't use with others. Pay attention to …
