He was on the phone with the police when she came out of the house with a gun and threatened him. Was he supposed to let her shoot him? She was the aggressor. She could have stayed inside and called police herself. She’d still be alive.

They aren't getting backlash. The local news here ran with the story and added that one of the girls that was arrested is claiming her "rights were violated", but as far as everyone here locally that watched the whole video and saw the news story support the Sheriff's department and how the sergeant handled the situation.
