Additional thoughts. This honestly makes me sick, the very psychologist who are supposed to be diagnosing abuse often use this test. It makes no effort to be egalitarian or do anything to suggest that women can also be violent and predatory.

Check out this question from the ACE Test (Keep in mind it's only 10 questions and there are no questions specifically about 'Fathers' only parent or mother. Before your 18th birthday, was your mother or stepmother: often or very often pushed, grabbed, slapped, or had something thrown at her? or sometimes, often, or very often kicked, bitten, hit with a fist, or hit with something hard? or ever repeatedly hit over at least a few minutes or threatened with a gun or knife? https://stopabusecampaig…

This isn't the place for this question. It's off topic and ignorant.

Definitely talk to a good lawyer, you have a good case here I think. I would sue for compensation and more if I could. You should be able to tell your side of the story. Were there any males or anyone else around that can corroborate what you said? I am not a lawyer.

If you've had so many ultimatums issued against you, you might want to consider you have some issues. That along with the fact you think every time someone issues an ultimatum it is a 'manipulation tactic'. How about this ultimatum: "Do not invade X country or we will attack you". I mean...manipulation tactic or warning to prevent WW3? I agree that those malicious, manipulative ultimatums do happen and are probably the large majority. It does not mean that there are not valid other reasons for…

I think you are only imagining your own scenarios. What if your wife beat you, what if she beat your children, what if you loved your wife but she spent money like a child with no concern for finances. So , soon as she does X thing wrong you just A) Ignore it or B) Divorce with no warning? I see the ultimatum as a good way to prevent this negative behavior, it's not a manipulation tactic.

I can see where there are good reasons to threaten someone with divorce without actually doing it. For instance, as a warning to prevent further bad behavior 'if you do X again then we are done'.

Nah, they will just settle. Then they will divorce cause he wasn't the 'right one' and collect alimony, rinse and repeat.

I imagine quite a few of those women are lonelier than they let on, though judging by what they write...probably good reason for it.

Well if you mean, are men more capable or effective at violence, then sure. Are we more likely to commit? I'd say not really, sure there is a minority of men who believe in beating women but there are plenty of women out there who think hitting guys is perfectly ok.

Why are you on this sub speaking things that are factually untrue? Neither California or any other state is showing Gay porn to children, whether in books or video.

What about mutual combat? That's not illegal and it involves people hitting each other.

This is it in a nutshell, the Republicans are using this disenfranchisement with the male status quo to basically re-assert those old 'rights'; men are the bread winners, women should be in the kitchen making pie etc. Why women are Republicans I don't know, they have no respect for their gender at all. I'm going to guess it has something to do with 'pro-life' and babies.
