There's only one answer to this question, and it is this = everyone's different. Both men and women. However, women like sex too, and most women don't like to be sexually frustrated for long periods of time. And if they're single for long periods of time, that means they are probably interested in sex on some terms with someone that isn't a relationship. Not every woman is looking for a relationship, after all, and those who aren't, would probably like to still have options. For me personally, a…

Ah, r/mensrights, you've done yourself proud. You easily saw through the trolling before we even needed to get involved and point out the obvious fake. But for the record, of course this is all just a gigantic troll without a shred of truth in it.

It's not the FACT you're virgin, it's your vibe that you are constantly thinking about it. insecure about it. read the rest of this sub reddit, get your confidence up and your virginity isn't a factor in any way. Yep...which is why I wouldn't have even thrown in the disclaimer that you did. "In case you fucked up" what does that even mean? In case you suck in bed? Lots of guys who I know have sexual experience, also suck in bed. It doesn't reveal you as a virgin. And if it sucks, whatever, you'l…

There's a lot of bitterness in this forum. If people are open and willing to listen, this is a valuable story with lots to learn from it. Alas, a lot of people in here are more interested in blaming women for their failures than in learning from one who has something useful to share.

He respected my decision, didn’t try anything, and really just backed off, but without being awkward or rude. I’ve told guys in the past I wasn’t interested, and some got really shitty and offended and couldn’t handle rejection very well. Those guys were childish, and Tim was not. I was impressed. His maturity at handling the situation combined with the fact that he wasn’t chasing me any more made me see him in a different light. This. This. This right here. How about "we have been earning scorn from bigoted feminists and white knights since 2008." Or how about the way every example of a bad thing that MRAs are opposed to, is labeled feminist, whether or not that person or entity is actually affiliated with feminism in any way? Go look at the front page right now, I count five headlines calling out feminism as the enemy, and that's without clicking inside any of the links.

Oh, I like your perspective. Women who buy into this kind of gendered bullshit are not bad people, they're just a product of the society we live in and they've never been challenged to reconsider their ideas. I look back on some of the ideas I had about how men ought to treat women...yes, I used to be one of those women who felt that part of a man "respecting" a woman was paying for her on dates. Nobody had ever said anything to me challenging the idea or suggesting that there might be a good re…

I was stunned, how could she be so disconnected from reality? She's protecting her own ego. She needs an explanation for why you lost interest that casts you as the bad guy and not herself, because otherwise the rejection is painful. "He just wanted sex" is a very easy go-to rationalization that removes the need for painful introspection of her flaws. Of course, it also prevents her from learning and growing from her mistakes, or reconsidering her ill-conceived ideas.

No, that's not what feminists think. Most feminists at least - feminism is such a big tent that you can find a representative for just about any position within it. But on the overall, feminism is all about self defined gender roles including the right to comply with gender norms if that's what you prefer - aka, "y'all should do whatever you want so long as it makes you happy and healthy." That's feminism, too. Why not try spending some time in r/feminism and see what we think for yourself, rath…

I'll say this...although the above certainly makes me sound needy and desperate, I am confessing the inner stuff within me that never, ever, ever shows. And I do an excellent job of not projecting crazy at all. I'm confident, socially outgoing, mature, friendly, non-clingy, intelligent. But it's more than just not seeming crazy - I am truly, actually, for real, not crazy. I consider myself very well balanced and adjusted, on the overall. "Oh thats cool cuz I'm dating someone else now" = bad. There's a big difference between giving the general sense that you have lots of options, vs actually openly being WITH another option in front of her. It's one thing for a girl to see you getting along well with other females - that's preselection. It's another for her to see you openly getting with another girl - that's too threatening to her and she's gonna cut you loose before she gets hurt by being attached to you as you go out with othe…

Yeah, some feminists are like that. Also, some feminists think that eugenics is the only answer, and quite literally endorse a Final Solution of killing all men - go see the recent GirlWritesWhat video. So what? They're a tiny minority. They don't represent feminism. There's bad elements in both these movements. The best way to fix it is to work from within to be a voice of reason, not to try to stir up even more hostility and bias and antagonism between the movements. "Hey guys, feminists suck …

Well, if you are the kind of person who would even try to stick around SRS to understand where they are coming from, then I'm quite confident you have the diplomacy and tact to participate constructively in r/feminism - and I'm also confident you'll find more understandable content here than in r/SRS! And worse than that, you're giving them attention and feeding their machine by being present in their discussions at all. The only proper response to r/SRS is to downvote and move on. However, although you and anyone is welcome to post in r/feminism, please do be sensitive to the conflict created by a disporportionate presence of MRAs in our space. /r/seduction13/03/12 05:09 PM

Please don't. She's a captive audience, which can make a woman feel trapped and unsafe. She can't decline your attention or stop the interaction because she can't get away from you - she is pretty much at your mercy for as long as you persist. Women respond better when they know that they can end the interaction easily at any time if they choose.

Love your whole post, wanted to comment on this part. The guys who use being nice as a front, the girl is saying "lets be friends" because she knows you're not really a nice guy and you'll stop chasing her if she says your just friends (would love a female opinion on this theory). Not to mention things change, maybe she was in a relationship at the time and as soon as she's out you'll be first on her radar. Very racist if you ask anyone. In fact, it was such an embarrassment that the mormon church recently changed the line to read "pure and delightsome"...but if you know how much emphasis the mormon church places on teaching that the Book of Mormon is "the most perfect book on earth", it's really quite a scandal that they would change anything, even just that one word.

Ok "mentality" was the wrong word. What I meant was "framework when discussing your interaction with her". Speak to her as if you have the mentality of "she chose everything she did". Choose your words that you say to her as if you have a common understanding that of course she chose what she feels and does. But that's not your actual mentality. I guess I phrased it confusingly.

No, pursuers don't have control. Pursuers are favor-seekers. Pursuers are in the asking, possibly even begging position. The target is the one with control because the target gets to decide whether to give the pursuer what the pursuer wants. That's why you create the perception that YOU are the target and SHE is the pursuer. This may not be reality, but if you can get her to feel that she wants you more than you want her, and that she has to convince you to want her back, that she has to work to…

So much nitpicking. The point is that she can't be made to feel that you "tricked" her into feeling attracted to you. No you didn't RAPE her into feeling attracted to you, and nobody's implying otherwise. It's really not a complicated point.
/r/seduction31/01/11 04:03 PM

Thank you so much for this comment. I couldn't possibly agree with you more. I am a woman, and I keep facing this same tired issue every time I try to post in here = people discover that I am a woman, they decide that this means I am also necessarily a feminist, they think that feminism is somehow bad or antithetical to pickup principles, and then they try to "discredit" everything I say by "accusing" me of feminism. Then I'm caught in a bad spot because I don't want to "defend" myself by insist…

Does it matter if I agree that I"m a feminist or not? For the record, I"m not a feminist. Also for the record, I'm not anti-feminist, and I hate to "defend" myself by insisting that I'm not a feminist, because equality is a worthy goal. But that's totally missing the point, because no matter how I feel about equality, that has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. I am deeply concerned about anyone in here who thinks that feminism is a slur, though.

twoX isn't a feminist subreddit. We talk about cute boys and fashion trends as much as anything else. Remember this mentality with the women you approach - she chose you. She chose to be open to your advances. She chose to open herself up to you. She chose to sleep with you, and she could choose otherwise if she changed her mind. I think this is the part which is confusing everybody. This is the reality which you hint at when you talk to the girl about what happened between the both of you. This…

The desirable mindset: the guy is THE prize and the girl just one of MANY pursuers. He is in control, not her. ...that means you agree with me, and not Evo. That's what I"ve been arguing. hm I see the confusion... The point is that you both were fully in control of your own choices at all times...and lucky her that the guy she wanted, also decided to want her back! Here's the perception you want to create. 1) she noticed you first...she was attracted to you BEFORE you were attracted to her 2) her attraction to you wasn't something you manipulated out of her, it "just happened" 3) she then set about hoping/attempting to get you to be attracted to her as well 4) she succeeded...luc…

Right, and I'm not arguing that pickup isn't about behaving in ways which cause her to feel attraction where she otherwise wouldn't have been attracted. Of course that's exactly what it is. Your comparison to sales tactics is accurate. I'm arguing, instead, about how to talk to women, and that you don't ever want to say that TO her.

I think you don't quite understand my point...I'm not objecting to teasing, I'm objecting to what the tease is. If you tease her that you normally wouldn't have fallen for her but she got you, she won you over, then you've set up the dynamics correctly. YOU are the prize, and SHE is the pursuer. And, it's an accomplishment to win you for herself. Out of all the women out there that want you, she's the one who won, she's the one who successfully set herself apart. That's the dynamic you want to s…

No, there isn't even a playful way to suggest that you got her to do what you wanted her to do, that she wouldn't have otherwise decided to do on her own. If you want to make this a playful, teasing remark, then the correct way to do this is to tease about how she got you to be interested in her, how she won you over or got you to be attracted to her, where you otherwise might not have been. The teasing comment would be that she is the successful pursuer and you are the object of desire, not the…

I kind of bristle at your use of the word "should"...in seduction, there is no "should", especially when it is combined with the word "equality". The sexes are different, and it's my perception that betas spend their time angry about the things they need to do to get laid which aren't consistent with true equality, whereas successful men don't even care what is equal and what isn't, and they engage reality as it is with no thoughts of fairness. Well, that's far from universally true. I'm trying to figure out how to respond to that without using a generality which can't possibly be 100% true - people are people and each person is different - but I guess, think of it as bell curves. The bell curve of female responses to sex is centered slightly different than the bell curve of male responses to sex. But there's a ton of overlap between the two. Right, and good catch. I think I understand his point though - that attraction can be created in others but not in ourselves. I had missed the neg in the comment, I thought this person was just recommending directly hitting on her aka "Hey baby how bout you and me date?" And I couldn't see any game in that whatsoever.

I'm glad to hear we're mostly in agreement. But I'd still like to clarify, I'm not willing to accept that bad behavior is somehow "okay" because she's hot and has to keep guys away. My point isn't about whether its "ok" or not. Instead my point is about speculating about her overall personality and nature based only on how she acts when receiving unwanted attention. When everyone here rages that these women are "bitches", that sounds to me like they are speculating that due to her "bitchy" behav…

I'm getting the impression that as seddit has grown, it's mostly been guys joining who have no idea what pickup is, they just think this is a place to talk about hitting on women. I doubt that 90% of people in this thread have actually read Mystery Method or any other similar books. The level of ignorance in here is just blowing my mind. They read the sidebar enough to throw a few buzzwords into their comments so that they sound like they understand pickup, and then proceed to say the most bass-…

I think we can all agree that she's a bitch You fail. Hit the books, reread mystery method, or any other PUA material at all. The whole point of pickup is understanding women's high barriers. Women are approached by men all the time, and so they create defenses and barriers to guard against all that unwanted attention. When they are rude and blow you off, it's not because they are a bitch, instead it's just their defenses or shield to cope with the fact that men are constantly hitting on them. T…

Personally, I'm just perplexed by the arrogance of somebody saying "don't approach me or other hot women ever" and "Don't approach us, we'll come to you". Why is this perplexing? What the hell else do you expect her to say to the media? She's already harassed by too much male attention, so she's going to say whatever it takes to get it to stop.
/r/seduction21/12/10 02:00 PM

...why? I'm trying to figure out if you are joking. This seems like terrible game.
/r/seduction21/12/10 01:58 PM

No, it's a total shit test. The fact that you are angry about it suggests that you don't understand game at all. Why are you blaming these women for having high barriers? Don't you understand why?
/r/seduction21/12/10 01:57 PM
5

You don't think they actually approach men, do you? That's just their media message to try to get men to back off.
/r/seduction21/12/10 01:54 PM
1

That's exactly what I'd tell the media if I was a victoria secret model. Their entire existence is defined by the men that want to be with them. And yet, of course, only one man at a time actually has that chance. That means that 99.999%% of the attention they receive, is unwanted. So why would they do or say anything to increase the amount of unwanted attention they are getting? They aren't going to say "approach us like this", because then guys will actually do it.

We're probably splitting hairs to guess how often it's the truth when girls say they have a boyfriend - is it usually true? Usually untrue? 50/50? The point is that sometimes it's true, and sometimes it isn't. But it doesn't really matter either way. Either way, the correct response is the same. Drop her barriers by reassuring her that you're just being friendly, one way or the other.

Corny cheesy things work, but get rejected routinely by seddit. I once linked to a sale to some really silly sunglasses with hearts for eyes, and it got downvoted to oblivion. But my friend who does pickup had all kinds of success with it, girls grabbing it off his face and putting them on all night, or at least coming up to talk to him and ask him about them.

I agree with you when it comes to girls you already know. But when we are talking about cold approaches, then no, that's just not correct. In fact it goes against the basic premises of pickup arts. I'll explain pickup to you - when you approach a girl, the simple fact of your approach gives your interest away. This is a problem because the girl doesn't yet have any basis by which to assess your value, so you are at a big disadvantage because she needs to immediately decide whether to be welcomin…

just a thought from a girl. Remember that the goal here is to disarm her by giving the impression that you aren't trying to date her, and thus drop her barriers. That's why you use false time constraints, negs, etc - it all conveys that you aren't trying to win her over. And if she says "I have a boyfriend" she's clearly responding to perceived romantic interest on your part, which probably means you aren't doing it right - you're putting her on the defensive by making her feel that she needs to…

The problem comes when this advice is dispensed as steps to brainlessly follow, without understanding the rationale behind it. It's a matter of value. Your value compared to hers. Women's value is readily, obviously apparent, because it is mostly their looks. A hot woman has high value, an unattractive woman has lower value. Because to her mind she was meeting a new friend, not being picked up by a guy. And this is what I wish more guys here realized - that's pretty much what most women are thinking when they start chatting with you. It's not that you are on the friend ladder yet, but the assumption is that's where you are headed until you do something to change it. The IOIs are indicators of interest, yes...interest in talking to you. It isn't yet sexual interest. You've still got more work to do.

Just one thought for you - seduction "tactics" tend to not apply very well to actual relationships. They're great for generating attraction, meeting women, and escalating the chemistry. But once you are into things like commitment and longterm monogamy, the "game" changes completely, and the things which got her attraction will undermine the relationship. Not all of it, of course. Apparently the theory getting widespread attention at the time was that if a woman goes up to another woman and tries to "sell" the man she's with (I guess a lot of DHV t…

Well then let me clarify. I meant that you will live alone without meaningful companionship, all the way up until the point that you die. I'm not going to argue the meaning of the word misogyny, but what you are advocating is deeply immoral. "Eye for an eye" went out with the old testament as an acceptible way to be in society. The simple fact that there are times when some women take advantage of men, in no way justifies taking advantage of any or all women in return. And that's what you are ad…

I take comfort in the fact that men like you, with horrible attitudes like yours, pretty much never find the kind of happiness and fulfillment possible from a great, loving, longterm relationship with a loving woman. You just aren't capable of it, and your misogyny means that you will die alone.

I'm so glad that this seems to be the consensus in here. It gives me faith that all the accusations against pickup artists that they're a secret holdout of misogyny, is as false as I believe it to be. We aren't here to hurt women.

That depends entirely on how you conducted yourself leading into the sex. If you gave her the impression that you've fallen for her, and if this is why she slept with you, then it is a douche thing to do, and a decent guy would stick around. But of course it's very possible to get to sex without leading her on.

I would rephrase your original post and your original question. If you want to really get in a man's head, then go up to an average sort of guy at a club, lean in seductively, say something very sexually suggestive, and keep doing it until he follows you home, and then sex him. If at any point it isn't working, just keep being less and less "suggestive" and more and more blunt, taking him by the hand and leading him if you have to. Believe me, this will totally blow his mind because nothing like…

Very, very, very very true. If a guy shows too much interest in me from the beginning, like making it clear that they want to move me to that girlfriend level practically right away, it says one of two things to me. Either that they are so superficial that they don't care about anything but my looks, or that they are so desperate to get a female, any female, to give them a chance, that they don't even care about anything about who I am, they just want someone with ovaries to accept them. Both ar…

This is dangerous territory though. Women are seeking men who are willing to commit and be loyal, so if you are openly flirting with women on your facebook page, it sends a signal to the girl that she should be on the defensive against you and against developing any feelings for you because you are paying more attention to other women than you are to her, and you aren't likely to be willing to shut down all these other flirtations for her. On the other hand, the suggestion of the ability to get …

They say that a guy can tell within three seconds, whether or not he wants to sleep with you. So the way I figure is, there's not much you can do after those first three seconds, and very little game can be performed in three seconds or less. Female game pretty much means improving your appearance. Fortunately there's usually a lot that a girl can do with her appearance. Disclaimer = I'm a girl

Why does having plans with her mean anything at all about a long term relationship? Just go on the date. If somehow your future plans come up, then talk about them casually, as if they had nothing to do with the date you are on. If things go really well and she is truly interested in you, then cross that bridge when you come to it. But, the date itself is not a commitment to a relationship, so your upcoming move isn't somehow a betrayal or even an issue - it's just a date.

If you are trying to get her to like you by saying "i bet you were excited", she is going to pick up on this fawning crazy-fast. I disagree...it would be a frame control issue if he'd gone to her saying "I am so excited about you" or something. That would convey lower value like you said. But thats not what he did...he said that SHE was excited at the chance to be talking to HIM. He's suggesting that SHE is pursuing HIM, that SHE is the lucky one to be talking to HIM. And she responded by agreei…

Well...and I'm gonna sort of contradict my usual soapbox spiel of how wrong it is to trick women into bed with a false promise of a LTR... But, women know. The age-old cliche of guys just being after the sex, is as old as time. Women are well aware that men want sex, that men are much more interested in no-strings-attached sex than women usually are, and that the simple fact that he wants to fuck you, does not at all guarantee that he loves you. Some women are down for that, but some want a rela…

You sound insecure. Your behavior is very defensive, which suggests that rejection is very painful to you - so painful that you protect yourself against the threat of rejection before it even happens. And such an intense fear of rejection - such an intense fear of putting yourself out there and getting shot down - is insecurity. The root problem here is insecurity, and that's something you've got to deal with first, before we can address the symptoms properly. But on a more symptom-based level, …

This sure seems true to me. I got into pickup because a guy trying to learn pickup had approached me and attempted to run game on me, but hadn't succeeded in attracting me. But we became friends instead and he didn't let his injured pride get in the way of being open to my friendship. He then taught me about pickup, I read all the books, and I started assisting him as his wing/pivot. I know I've helped him a lot as a friend, including in his attempts to get women.

Is she really playing silly games, or is she genuinely not yet attracted to you? There's a difference, and you've got to get a correct read on which it is, in order to know your next step. If she hasn't yet felt attraction to you, then her lack of interest isn't a silly game, instead it is genuine lack of romantic interest coupled with possible friendship interest.

the only problem with "is kissing cheating" is that it is soooo overused. You might as well walk up to a group of girls and say "Hi, I'm a pickup artist, mind being my guinea pigs for a moment?" Everyone's heard it by now.

The girl is going to think "If he's all that and a bag of chips, then why isn't SHE into him?" The idea is to create some…

Yes, and it's also why generally speaking, attractive women are more aware of this and have a higher defense against random guys talking to them - from experience of so many guys falling over themselves in response to her beauty, the women learn to be suspicious of any guy trying to talk to her. In my defense, it's not that I'm unattractive, just sheltered and naive, but I'm getting over that. I'm a woman so the question doesn't really apply. I'll tell you that my current boyfriend dropped a lot of the alpha act when he was dating me - not so much to appease my insecurity (because I am not insecure), as because he sensed that the games weren't necessary with me, and he much preferred to just be himself. However he did it in a way that was more consistent with "the game" than he knew - he's not into pickup, he just has an intuitive sense gained from experience about how to have game. A…

The thing that surprises me is that you describe her as a 10. This behavior would make a lot more sense from a 6 or 7 (or even lower) because these women don't have so much attractive power, and thus might be more insecure. Alpha traits are attractive, but frightening to an insecure woman, because the woman fears that she'll get attached and then he'll just leave her. Beta traits are less attractive but more reassuring that he'll stay and be devoted and not stray. Usually the lower number women …

I guess starting from the bottom and working up - I agree with you that there are white lies or deceptions in pickup. I would call that more of stoking a fantasy than lying in a bad way. The whole premise of the approach is to create the impression that you aren't trying to sleep with her, even if the opposite is true, so clearly there is a place for deception within pickup. The only hesitation I have is the wildcard of the sister. I agree that having her come to you is creating a better frame, and it is also getting her futher invested into you - after all if she spends all that time just to meet you, then she has more to lose if she bails. But, the guy's sister is already making an effort for him, and he's asking her for one more favor. I guess it depends how helpful and willing the sister is to go to even more effort.

The simple fact that there are patterns which can be identified. Good game isn't the exact same thing on every girl, because girls are people and have their own preferences and needs and perspectives. However, most women respond to similar things. The seduction community is about identifying those common patterns and getting better at a pattern of behavior that often works on many women.

hmm, yeah, I see your point. I guess my thinking is that a lot of a girl's defensiveness comes from the fear of clingers. One possible explanation is just that both men and women find it validating and affirming to get attention from the opposite gender. So for that reason, the flirtatiousness may exist simply because they like the way it makes them feel, that they can have a sort of flirty vibe going with you, even if it doesn't really mean that they want you. It's more of just an affirmation of their femininity and desireability. Then again, it's always possible that more is going on. I don't know them and you, s…

Yes, I still feel like I'm the one who "lost" in this situation, but I'm not going to let some dumb girl get to me. Forgive me for saying so, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this kind of a bitter nice guy stand? I might be reading things in your tone which aren't there though. What I'm getting though, is a sense of blame, that she's just a dumb girl, because she didn't return your interest. Even in your response in the moment, your "so the answer is no? BYE!" while cutting her off,…

Since it sounds like this line was new to you, I highly recommend reading "The Mystery Method" by Mystery. It's pretty much the first book any guy should read who is trying to figure out how to approach women and is starting at the beginning. The line is in there, and he can explain it far better than I do.
/r/seduction01/06/10 06:16 PM

Not so much on the straightening issue, but the rest of the comments about your hair "I love it" "I'm jealous" etc...you could always try Mystery's line he uses when girls comment on his goggles... "No you don't, you're attracted to me." Ballsy as hell though.

You're assuming that these glasses spend any time at all on your actual face. My observation is that, if you are in a high energy group, everyone is too busy grabbing them and passing them around for you to actually spend any time wearing them. And when you do have them, park them on top of your head. And if it feels too cheesy, wear them out on valentine's day...you've got a good excuse to wear kitsch for the holiday.

One of the first things that gets beaten into the head of anyone getting introduced to pickup, is that "be yourself" is supposedly HORRIBLE advice. Neil Strauss goes on this big long rant about how useless the dating advice available during "his time" was, because it was full of nuggets just as useless and counterproductive as "be yourself". Practically the entire book "The Game" is devoted to how bad he had it when "be yourself" was his whole strategy, and how amazing his life turned around whe…

Oh wow. That's gonna leave it's mark, if you were punished by withdrawal/ignoring/rejection as a child. It's going to be even more difficult for you to move past this to project the frame you want to project, than it even is for the rest of us. Have you ever had a chance to talk to a therapist about this? Because even beyond how it affects your game, stuff like that can also really affect the relationship you eventually get into with future girlfriends.

you're welcome! I just added an edit before noticing that you had replied. Another thought as it occurred to me. And don't get me wrong - of course you noticed that she was ignoring you. And of course it bothered you. And of course, few of us can be so constantly surrounded by attractive, fun people that we don't even notice these kinds of slights. I'm not saying how you should actually feel, instead I'm trying to paint the picture of how you should seem, to her.
/r/seduction15/05/10 08:57 PM

"I hate being ignored" - reeks of desperation. Why did you even notice that she was ignoring you? You should have been so busy having so much fun with all your other friends/all the other women around, that you didn't have a moment to give her another thought. You didn't even notice that she walked away from you. And if you did notice, it barely registered because the thought was so quickly replaced by focusing on all the other more interesting, more fun, more attractive people in your life than…

Yeah I don't see anything he did particularly wrong. I'd praise him for the confidence in approaching and a fun/flirtatious way of making her guess rather than just telling. I can see where he fell apart though. It was when she said "you're five years too young." He came back with a line that showed that he was clearly trying to win her favor, justifying himself. That's bad frame control - he needed to project to her that she should be proving herself to him, rather than him attempting to prove …

I guess I disagree with the premise that there are "correct" things to do and "wrong" things to do. In some contexts, paying for dinner is a positive thing. In other contexts, it's a DLV. Even Mystery/Style will teach you to adjust your game to the woman you are approaching - 10's respond well to a very aggressive game, whereas an overly cocky approach used on an insecure woman (often identified as a 6 or 7 looks-wise) will cause them to reject you rather than running the risk of being rejected …

Is this the typical experience in anger mangement? While I'm sure that there are many bad therapists who have too much of a feminist bias to really listen to their clients, is that really the typical experience? I'm just thinking, in that therapist's shoes, I would have expressed a lot of compassion for the turmoil that the man was going through, and I probably would have validated his feelings of justifiable anger. This is insightful, and I think you've seen a side of things that I haven't. At BYU, the simple fact of having black skin was a full standard deviation away from the norm, and while these very sheltered, conservative girls found that exciting, I think that a ghetto thug would have frightened them, that would have been further than they were prepared to take things. However, a mormon girl at BYU is a very different thing than a regular white chick seeking a bad boy type in a club, and I think you…

Being a black man could be used as a strength just as easily as it could be a negative. There's a very large swath of white women who are intrigued and curious about black men and would like the opportunity to try it for themselves. Sayings like "once you go black, you don't go back" certainly aren't hurting your cause. Another phenomenon - the appeal of the nonthreatening exotic. The key to seducing white women is to make it clear in your demeanor and appearance that you aren't (and forgive the…

Why is this so laughable? I think the bigger point is that, just like it's a struggle to attract women when you are a short guy, it is also difficult to attract men when you are a tall woman. And just like a short guy doesn't like to be constantly reminded of how short he is, a tall woman also doesn't want to be constantly reminded of how tall she is. How is that not legitimate?

"It's same for that girl too, she wouldn't be friends with you unless you are attractive to her." Wow, how is anyone familiar with pickup, making a mistake this fundamental? Isn't the whole basis of pickup, that girls and guys are different, and respond to different things? How on earth can someone who is familiar with pickup, assume that women must be attracted to their friends just because men often are? I'm a girl. Are you hot? Because otherwise you probably don't stand a chance. I'm wondering if possibly talking to him about his interest in pickup, or maybe even offering to help him out as a "pivot" would be a good "in" with him... Going the opposite direction, obviously this would completely fail, as it'd be a one-way ticket to the friendzone, but I'm working on the theory here that guys don't friendzone in the same way that girls do. You're going to think that this is ridiculous, but I was watching Half Baked the other day and was admiring Dave Chappelle's character as he approached Mary Jane. He had the balls to just walk up and talk to her, and he was very effectively using humor. I'm sure it's not pickup by any standard, but it worked and it was good. Of course you could make a strong argument that his game kind of fell off after that point as he pursues her a little too single-mindedly (giving up weed, which he loves, ju…

I say yes. The reason why, in a nutshell, is that some girls are going to leave their man for another regardless, so your choice is whether or not you want a shot at being the one who gets her. Another way to put it is the saying, "Girls will be two of three things, but never all three = Attractive, Sane, and Single." Personally I think that both attractiveness and sanity are far too important to compromise on. Of course the cliche is not universally true, but truly, most women who are attractiv…

Would it make a difference, though, if girls knew? I mean even if they were consciously aware of the fact that certain deliberate actions by guys can trigger feelings of physical attraction in themselves - even if they knew that, ok, now what? Consciously knowing doesn't mean they can now consciously decide to overrule it and not need attraction/chemistry any more. Even if they understand what a guy is doing, girls still need the guy to do it, otherwise attraction will never happen, regardless o…

What I'm getting from your post is that there's something you are projecting to others with your demeanor, body language, etc, which is off-putting. Thing is though, I can't know what that is through a post you type online, because it is totally stripped of demeanor and body language. Very true, and thus my capitalization of Nice Guy as a separate concept from simply guys who have nice characteristics. I think we all have characteristics of the Nice Guy, and it's more a matter of degree rather than a yes or no, guilty or not guilty, pronouncement or label. But the more aware we can be, the more we can realize how our struggles trace back to ourselves and arent the fault of other people. Relationship advice is not what the seduction community is good at. Seduction is about getting the opening with the girl, not about sustaining a relationship from that point forward. You're pretty much on your own from there.

ah, well, an open relationship then...is that what it'd be called? I have questions for you now. For starters, how do you control the jealousy factor with your wife? Also, how do you keep it to just sex with the girls you play with? I mean you can go in intending for nothing but play, but feelings are something you don't necessarily always choose, you just feel how you feel in the end...do you have any policies around that, like, if you find yourself getting attached to a girl then you break it …

Ah, well, I wasn't getting into the realm of polyamory, which is a perfectly legitimate type of relationship to have - however, I don't think a polyamorous person would be trying to maintain backup girls in case things fall through with his current. Polyamory is open and honest, not a situation of spending effort and energy "friend-zoning" women with ulterior motives. Sure he could explore the possibility of polyamory with his girlfriend, if this would meet his needs better and if she is open to…

In normal cases of a guy who shows some interest but not enough, I recommend being coy, playing the coquette (see "The Art of Seduction" by Robert Greene). I've made it work for me - I was dating a guy (yeah I'm a girl, but one who has read up on pickup/seduction etc and has helped my guy friends out with it) who was showing lukewarm interest in me. We'd meet up, have a great time, really "click", but then he'd disappear for weeks and not show consistent effort or interest. So what I did is unde…

Have you told him that you are interested in him? Since you rejected him before, it makes sense that he's not pursuing you after such a clear statement of "I don't want you". I think you need to let him know that you made a mistake and now you realize what you let go and what a mistake it was. Only then can we really judge how interested he genuinely is, or why he is distant.

it's complicated, because you are right and I am right too...there are elements of both to every interaction. There's two parts to my response. First off, are you sure that beauty has nothing to do with friendship? I dunno about you, but I am definitely more drawn to physically attractive men and women both when it comes to friendship. It's human nature to want to associate with high value people, and our value has a lot to do with our desirability, even if you aren't trying for anything sexual.…

How high a woman's defenses are, and how quick they are to assume that you are hitting on them, depends on how many times they've been approached like that before. If a dozen guys strike up a conversation with her with a compliment, and end by, I dunno, touching on her, getting a number, something like that, then she's gonna assume it'll go the same way for you. Precisely. Also, think about what you're saying to a woman if you show sexual interest in her before speaking to her - aka if you are clear that you are approaching her with romantic intentions in mind. Basically it says one of two things. Either you're saying "I dont care at all about what sort of a person you are, what your personality is, what your hopes and dreams might be, all I care about is appearances, and based on your physical appearance, I'm down to fuck." Mystery Method should be everyone's introduction to pickup. It's concise, clear, and packed full of information in a relatively short book. The problem with this as it applies to game, is, that what women want is very different from what they think they want. For example, if you ask a woman, she'll probably tell you that she likes sincere compliments from guys. But if you try to use this to flirt with women, you come across as desperate and needy and having less value than the woman, you come across like you want or need something from her, which will turn her off. 2x has value, but not when it comes to getting advice on how to flir…

As a woman, that article is bizarre. I don't think of every guy as a potential rapist. Yeah, and that's the part I agreed with, that what women think they want, and what they actually respond to, are different things. When you heard her say "I don't like guys who play games", a good pickup artist will understand this to mean that she needs you to build comfort with her. Especially with what you said about the chemistry being there, it sounds to me like that you'd completed stage 1 of generating attraction, and that was your cue to jump to stage 2 and work on comfort building (rath…

Yes. This is completely true. However, let me translate woman-speak for you, for a second. "I hate playing games, its not a game, etc" = I need to feel that you are sincere. I don't want someone who is out to play me/manipulate me/use me, I want someone who is open and willing to care. It's still a game.
