Oh yeah, her boyfriend talked about getting married one time four years ago so she's basically got it in the bag. 👍

Oh this is fantastic. My guy and I actually met in bootcamp. You learn a lot about a man in that kind of environment.

I've read multiple posts by women whose "partners" left their babies in shit-filled diapers for hours while they played video games. Like these dudes do not give a single fuck about their own children.

Ooooh no, not on that sub. That sub is purely masturbatory self-martyrdom for pickme doormats to scream into the wind with other pickme doormats. Actual constructive suggestions are not allowed. None of those women have any intention of leaving or taking control of their lives.

Hey bromos, I'm going to scream I'm so frustrated! My husband refused to feed our toddler breakfast again this morning even though I'm in a body cast, have stage IV cancer, and I'm pregnant with kiddo #4. Grrrrrr! I just wish he would stop leaving skid marks on the sheets every night! I've taught him how to properly wipe himself like twenty times already but he's just not getting it. Oh well, at least he's brushing his teeth twice a week now, small victories! Well, better drag my ass out of bed …

Who your child's other parent is, is much more important than who you marry. You can divorce that person and never see them again. I had two abortions while married to my ex-husband. Even though I was naive enough to marry way too young I'm grateful every goddamn day I listened to my gut and did not have children with him. He ended up becoming abusive and I divorced him and moved to the other side of the country. The end. Marriages can be undone; children can't.

I was a kid when Titanic came out and I was heartbroken that he was so much older than me. Now in my early 30s I'm a decade 'too old' for him. Lol what a creep he turned out to be.

I had a very similar thing happen and flipped them off. It made me incredibly sad that young boys are being trained by our society to be aggressive and hateful towards women. They don't even see us as people.

This! You see it all the time when female redditors rant about their manchild husbands too-- talking about how the mothers failed to raise their sons to be equal partners. What about the fathers? Did they not have a responsibility to raise their sons too? They're literally perpetuating the exact same thing they're ranting about.

I am 12 in 1998. I hop on the family computer and try to chat with a male "friend" my mom met in a chat room, exhilarated at my first opportunity to talk to someone on the internet. After a few minutes of small talk, asking me about school and my interests, his messages turn sexual. I freak out and immediately run to tell my mom, because I am 12; a child. She scans the messages and whirls on me. Angry, at me. Accuses me of flirting.

Because our misogynistic patriarchal society has brainwashed women into believing we need to earn "wife status" rather than men needing to earn husband status.

Somewhat related-- I'm a criminal justice paralegal and SO MANY of the defendants we prosecute are "Jr."s. My theory is that the mothers agree to name them after the fathers so the fathers will be more likely to stick around.

The cruelty is what gets me. To mock and belittle someone for -checks notes- wanting to spend their life with you is nothing short of sadistic. This goes beyond having no respect for her, he's blatantly delighting in causing her emotional pain.

When my SO and I were still in a LDR he drove from Wisconsin to North Carolina overnight so he could be with me for one weekend before having to head back for work. Men will move heaven and earth for women if they actually give a shit.

His betrayal sincerely hurt. He clearly got it, clearly understood how the world can be for women, and instead of using that insight to be, you know, not a complete and total piece of shit, he still DELIBERATELY CHOSE to be a predator. There's just something so cruel about it. What a disappointment.

That was the most painful part for me. An acquaintance in high school told me the way I felt about my mother was "disgusting." Not everyone is privileged enough to have two loving parents and a white picket fence life, Kyle.

Seems like a great way to get an idea about a man's intellect as well. If you're in an art museum and all he has to say about each piece is "this one's cool," then...

Maybe it's because I'm An Old in my 30s but I'm amazed at this "walk in the park" as a date trend. Even my brokeass college boyfriend took me to an Olive Garden on our first date, damn. I don't agree with everyone on this sub in terms of what's considered "high value" but shuffling around a random park is just sooo insultingly low-effort.

And how much more time she'll probably allow him to waste, or another man like him. She makes me sad honestly, she tries to project an image of a strong, tough woman but all her behavior surrounding this guy has shown her to be an insecure pickme who would rather attack the women he cheats with than hold HIM accountable for cheating. It's really damn sad.

Modern gamer culture and misogyny go hand in hand. It also seems to overlap heavily with the whole incel/redpill thing that has gained traction in recent years. Sociopathic, entitled young men who have been raised by indifferent fathers and #boymom mothers who raised them to think their shit don't stink, and who now have social media platforms to spread their poison around to other males in their formative years.

Speaking from experience as a former military wife, the attitude that women must Stand By Their Man no matter what is extremely pervasive and toxic in the military community, a subculture already rife with misogyny and domestic violence. The wives and girlfriends of servicemembers with PTSD are essentially pressured to martyr themselves and be both a caregiver and emotional punching bag for their abusive husbands, many of whom bury their issues under alcohol and/or video games rather than dealin…

There is A LOT of overlap with this sub and r/childfree over this topic. Most of the posters on that sub are women who are completely aware that the burdens of childbirth/childrearing fall our shoulders and just how much we stand to lose compared to men, in every way. So many women have children with absolute losers, that's why subs like Breaking Mom exist. They delude themselves into thinking their LVM partners will "step up" once the baby arrives and realize their mistake after it's too late.

Some male made an entire-ass post on the Ask Women Over 30 sub the other day about this sub whining about how it's so "toxic." I commented that just because something isn't what you want to hear doesn't make it toxic and of course got downvoted. There is no shortage of fragile LVM and pickme's eager to coddle them.

EVERY SINGLE WOMAN should have exit plan money. I don't care if your SO is Mr. Rogers reincarnated, always make sure you have options. It makes me want to scream in frustration when I read posts by women who don't work, don't have any of their own money, have three kids and one on the way, and are trying to figure out how to leave their abusive SO. Do not let yourself be backed into a corner like that.

Even when you do have the means it can be so dangerous. There was a story about an Air Force officer who was murdered by her ex after leaving him and filing a restraining order. When I left my own abusive husband while still in the military the first thing my chain of command did was move me into the barracks so I had a secure place to stay that he didn't know about. They may have saved my life.

In his mind, a woman deriving sexual pleasure from something other than a man is an affront to his fragile micropeen masculinity and therefore she must be humiliated and punished for it.

One of the many reasons I'm childfree. Like fuck I'm going to risk my health and basically sacrifice my life to birth and raise children for a man who will expect me to do 90% of the work and look around at other women while I'm bogged down raising his "legacies." Fuck every single bit of that.
